I made an appointment to have a Will drawn up for my personal and business assets. I was quoted a price on the phone and he didn't try to add extra charges onto my bill . Lloyd set an appointment with me and worked on the Will. He made many suggestions and corrections that helped me prepare my Will. He also prepared my Power of Attorney and my Living will. I was in and out of his office within 2 hours and I had my Will in hand. I am always skeptical about Lawyers trying to talk me into something that I do not need to have. When we loose our loved ones we are rarely prepared. To add to the pain of the loss someone then has to then struggle through the challenges of settling the Estate of the departed. Recently, I had to say goodbye to my beloved Mother. Difficult enough I found myself responsible for settling the affairs of her estate. I wanted to have a Will drawn up for my personal assets. I had called after hours and requested an appointment. The following day Lloyd called me; he explained the 3 types of documents that most of his clients request the Will, Power of Attorneys & Living Wills. With a few questions & answers we're able to complete what was needed. Simplicity at it's finest. Lloyd said he'd have the documents drawn up and mailed out for me to sign. Based on the other Yelp reviews, I called Lloyd Wellimg for a free consultation regarding my father's estate, and how I might proceed. I live in Southern California and my father passed away in Pittsburgh. When I told Mr. Welling that my father's entire estate was under $10,000, he made it clear to me that I was wasting his time. I was trying to determine if I should administer the will or not as due to distance and costs, it would be a significant hardship for me to do so. He did not give me clear information one way or another as to what to do, and raised his voice to me throughout the call. Having to deal with clients/customers in numerous jobs, I was surprised to have been treated so abruptly and unpleasantly. I am the one dealing with grief, as well as having learned that my dad had no will, and learning that I am faced with responsibilities that I did not know about. The conversation shook me up---at the 20 minute point, he told me I was wasting my time. It shocked me and I politely withdrew from the call. I am still in need of legal advice, and I felt strongly enough about how badly I was treated that I was compelled to share my feelings in a review. Maybe he was having a bad day---but he was unkind and unapologetic. I was calmly talking to him with courtesy, and was not treated in the same manner. I had a great experience with Lloyd. I live in Denver and was trying to handle my late mother's affairs from afar. I called up Lloyd and from the first minute on the phone, I knew that I wanted to work with him. The estate was very small and there was not much to be made by Lloyd, but I felt that he treated me with the same professionalism that he would treat a million dollar case. We were able to communicate via email to get everything going and then the one day that I was able to travel back to Pittsburgh, Lloyd was prepared and ready to go from the moment I walked in and met him in person at his office. We completed the paperwork that was required and then went down to the courthouse together to file everything. Lloyd did everything and literally I just had to sign some documents. I knew I was in good hands and could trust the process without understanding everything that needed to be done.
