It's been 2yrs since I was here. COVID changed a lot how you get around and see your doctor. Not much changed since I was here in 2019. Of course now we all are in masks. The lobby has a huge picture of Dr Jackie regarding the V Queen . She's always moving and doing new things. I arrived 15 min early as requested. I checked in online which saves you a lot of time. Staff always friendly and professional. Dr Jackie always on point. She recommended I start taking Vitamin D in which I have been taking over 7yrs now. She also suggested colonoscopy. Will schedule it in the next couple of months. Had a great visit! Expecting nothing but excellent results. Her final recommendation was to be safe. Get vaccinated, wear your mask and wash your hands. Dr Jackie is the OBGYN you should want for yourself and your unborn child especially if you are a woman of color! She genuinely cares and will give you tough but honest love and education on your both your physical and mental health. Been a patient since 2015. read more

I've only been to planned parenthood and frankly, their exams suck. Since I've got insurance I wanted to go to an actual office. I looked up this place on this website called insiderpages.com. I was sorta skeptical at first because I'm unusually dependent on YELP when it comes to reviews...and Dr. Walters had none. Anyway, based on the other website, Dr. Walters had high reviews and it stated that "Dr. Walters is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and has 17 years of experience." I literally just did a copy and paste of what it says. After calling numerous offices, I found that this office had by FAR the best customer service. The other offices I called were horrible: one kept me on HOLD (pure silence, do do do) for nearly 15 minutes (yes I timed it) and I eventually just hung up. Dr. Walters office had one of those machine greeting things that let you dial 1, 2, 3, accordingly if you needed directions, to make an appointment, blah blah blah. So anyways, I made an appointment and came here for my annual exam. The staff itself was extremely professional. A little more direction could have been used (i.e. where am I supposed to go after using the restroom? err...where do I put my cup? do I go back to the waiting room?) In a nutshell, here are the CONS: -lack of direction -appointment was at 9:30, but I didn't get to see the doctor until 40 minutes after PROS: -highly professional -clean environment -when I *did* see Dr. Walters, the exam itself took 5-10 miuntes TOPS...that's with her doing a rundown on what she already saw on my chart...what medications I was taking, health history, blah blah Highly recommend this place for anyone that needs to schedule an OB/GYN appointment :) read more

I went to Comprehensive Women's OB/Gyn because I read a few reviews on-line which were all very happy, and they were right down the street from my apartment. I heard from several other doctors that the office had high reviews from all of their patients. I usually saw Dr. Castillo, and only saw Dr. Walters for the 2 emergency appointments I had, and then for my delivery. I should have known that I would have major problems before my delivery, but I was naive and wanted to like it. My first issue was the waiting room, I was regularly not seen until 30 minutes to an hour after my appointment. Then Dr. Castillo was rushed & only appeared to halfway listen to me (I would tell her about an episode I had, that I had had several times before over the years, and she told me that it was the way the baby was sitting on my artery, affecting my blood flow, so I was restricted from driving for the last 2 months of my pregnancy. The baby was affecting my blood flow for years before he was conceived? That's just one example. Then there were times were I couldn't get in touch with anyone for concerns of bleeding. And whoever said there isn't an automated system must have called a different office than I did, I hated calling in. Then there was the day of my delivery. I was 39w2d and went into labor at my appointment. My appointment time was 1:00, and I was contracting at the end of it. By 3 I was calling in & telling them I was in labor. Because I was 6 cm at my appt, I was sent straight in to the hospital. When I arrived, I told them that I believed my water had broken & I was having steady contractions. I also reminded them that I was 6 cm at my appointment a few hours earlier. I was put into a room relatively quickly, and Dr. Walters was on call that day so she came in to check on me. I reminded her that I wanted an all natural delivery and being that this was my 3rd healthy pregnancy, there was no reason not to have one. She practically laughed at me. She never checked my dilation or to see if my water broke, but every time she walked into the room, she asked if I was ready for my epidural. At some point, I found out that Pitocin had been added to my IV. I had only been in the hospital for maybe 2 hours and hadn't even been checked for dilation yet, even though I was already at 6 cm. Why did I have it? I was never told, though I asked. She continued to tell me that my contractions were going to be SO much worse when she broke my water. After I had been listening to that for an hour or 2, I finally broke down and got the epidural, scared of how bad they were going to be after my water broke. Then she finally checked me. I was 7, almost 8 cm, and my water had already broken, on it's own. Before I even walked in! My son was born within an hour of receiving the epidural. Had I known that I was already in the worst of the delivery, like I asked several times, then I could have had a fully intervention free delivery, like I wanted and deserved. Instead, I received TWO interventions I didn't want and was strong armed into. After that experience, I didn't want to return. However, I found out that I was pregnant about a year and a half later and hadn't found a new OB yet, so I returned for a short time. I had bleeding for almost a full week in my first trimester, and called several times to see a doctor. I was put off by the staff a number of times, and was only told on Wednesday that neither doctor was available at either location and that if I had bleeding, I should just go to the ER. Having miscarried before, I knew an ER would do me no good. Besides, why should I go there when I had a DOCTOR and could pay less then 10% of the cost of an ER visit? That is simply no way to run an office when you are dealing with pregnancies. There were other ridiculous occurrences, and things that simply made no sense to me, and other times when I felt slighted or ignored, but I don't need to go into all of that. I have since switched to a midwife and could not be more pleased. I literally cry still when I talk about my son's delivery, it was completely against my wishes and only convenient for the doctor. They in no way cared about me or my wishes, and wanted to rush a delivery that was already going quickly. I will never return and will never recommend them to a single person. read more

DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! Very disappointing to know that she is still practicing medicine. All she cares abut is her tv show. When u need her shes not there they will always tell you the same thin "call 911". Even the nurses on NORTH-SIDE HOSPITAL don't recommend her. my recommendation to you is - DR BRADLY MOORE. read more

First, let me say that Dr. Walters is an amazing physician but I have to agree with another reviewer in stating that Customer Service is not a priority at this practice. I called and left several messages for Lekecia Ross, who is apparently the Office Manager. Not once did she return my phone call. Not once. I find that incredibly rude; especially considering I left a detailed message stating that I needed someone to call me back. After not receiving a call back after several days, I called only to be placed on hold for 10 minutes. That's just ridiculous. The only reason I even had to call was because I attempted to schedule an appointment through their lovely "portal". The confirmation stated that I would receive a call back in 48 hours. That was over 2 weeks ago. My primary care physician calls me back the day of - ALWAYS - and he's incredibly busy. There's a waiting list of 6 months for new patients, and he still manages to get the job done. I actually receive personal calls FROM HIM when there's something important that he needs to convey. I don't know if his amazing customer care/bedside manner has spoiled but that's what I'm accustomed to. Needless to say, I'm less than impressed with this practice and as much as I love Dr. Walters, I'm in the market for a new GYN. I just can't deal with the lack of professionalism. read more

As a person she is very nice, but DO NOT EXPECT her to call you when you are really in need. There is not a personal customer service, you get phone calls from the assistant of the nurse of the secretary...People who you don't even know. She cannot be bother to call you, even if you have a very delicate condition. I was so disappointed that I went ahead and found another doctor, someone that talk to me in person and call me herself, a normal HUMAN! Doctors get paid so much, you would think they can take 3 minutes to call you back. read more

Dr. Walters is a very good doctor but her nursing staff does NOT follow up. So don't expect call backs or prescription refills without significant time and follow up on your part. The front desk is courteous and friendly but since you will need to interact with the nursing staff you may consider other offices first. read more

I have never met a more direct, knowledgable, caring, concerned, honest, doctor before or after Dr. Walters. She was my doctor for many years until I moved from Gwinnett to Paulding County (more than an hours drive from her practice). Over and over we would discuss my adopting because of my extensive infertility issues, but I didn't want to hear it....I felt that with technology today, "she could get me pregnant". It wasn't until she had a heart to heart with me and now my husband in late 2010, that I really began to consider it. It's now 2014, and I'm proud to say that we are the proud parents of 8.......yes 8 (5 boys and 3 girls) beautiful children. I never thought I would be here, and would like to share in the excitement with you. "Thank you Dr. Jackie" for being the best OBGYN I have ever had, for being patient with me when I refused to believe that I was infertile, and for stepping out of your doctors coat and helping convince me to adopt. Because of you, I am a proud mother and wife. Now that you are considering adoption but have a lot of questions and concerns, I would love to help you in anyway that I can. read more
