After a 5 mile run filled with shadow boxing to the Rocky Steps and back, my runners high led me to remembering that I'm the best boyfriend ever and that I should get my girlfriend some flowers to prove it. I whipped out my navy blue titanium Iphone 15 and viciously typed "flowers" into Apple Maps, and Walter Pine Floral Studio became the obvious choice. Yes, I use Apple Maps. Y'all still using Google Maps?! or God forbid... Waze!!? COULDN'T BE ME!! After standing outside for a minute to catch my breath after my ELITE 9 min/mile pace, I entered. I was immediately struck with inspiration, as this is the most beautiful Floral Shop I have been in and I actually have been in a good amount of them for being a straight male ahahaha. I just couldn't stop smiling in there. As I was standing there breathing heavily and smiling, one of the employees, Taylor, walked up to me with a bigger smile than I had on and asked if I needed help with anything. I told her I just wanted to get some flowers for my girlfriend and that she hated roses but loved tulips... She said "Awesome!" and brought me over to the bouquet station and gave me a little rundown on what she thought. She was so helpful, big up to Taylor!! She said it would take about 5-10 minutes, and that Chloe would be the one putting the bouquet together. I was cool with that because honestly I wanted to look around, they had such a great selection of hand curated items including but not limited to cards, matches, candles, house plants, flowers, hanging plants, chocolate, ornaments, vases, pots, etc. I ended up getting her matches (she loves matches), the boquet ($35), and a card that said "I am so glad you were born." It wasn't her birthday or nothin, but I am glad she was born ahahaha. The bouquet ended up being BEAUTIFUL and my girlfriend absolutely loved it lol. Chloe did her mf THANG! She immediately put them in a vase and right on the table. I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of Tulips before, but they've grown on me. This flower shop looks nice, lots of potted plants, not so many flowers visible, so hard to see what they have because they are mainly in the fridge in the "employee area", i don't think it s a good idea to keep it away from customers because we have no idea what s available and what we could ask them to use for making a bouquet... Ok my main concern is that i had to pay the absolutely OUTRAGEOUS price of 44$ for what is apparently a "large bouquet" of.... 5-6 flowers and 2 branches of decoration leaves... I mean.. come on.... The REAL price of a large bouquet of 10-15 flowers is like 25-30$..... but 44$ for 5 flowers... I m all for supporting small businesses etc covid etc... But 44$.... I am not exactly known for my green thumb - in fact, I'm lucky that I have kept my basil plants going this year and that I haven't killed my items in my aerogarden which does a lot of the work for me. We felt like we needed to get some greenery for our condo though, so I wanted to see what some of the local shops had. Walter Pine delivered on multiple fronts. The woman working couldn't have been any nicer and more patient with the millions of questions I was asking her. They have such beautiful and curated plants and more, too. I was a bit overwhelmed but she made me feel confident that I would be able to successful with keeping the three starter plants I got alive. We got a money tree, string of pearls and African violet along with some pots - for around 100.00... not bad for quality items and exceptional service! I will definitely be back to expand my knowledge and plant collection... even if I go down more of the succulent path due to my lack of a green thumb. read more

Bottom line is Most shops were closed in New Jersey and i ordered a bouquet for a birthday from a lovely young lady, and if she didn't tell me she was new i would of never known. Her personality set her apart from some of the receptions i received from my local State. Her personality spoke a thousand days of a seasoned employee! Needless to say the bouquet was beautiful and within my set budget! The owner even delivered it to my car because i recently had a leg injury. Sundays are made for Walter Pine not so much for the competition! My family will be patronizing this Small Business! I ordered a bespoke (one of a kind; made to one's specifications) arrangement as a b'day gift. The receiving loves yellow roses and lilies. Not something typically found in pre-designed bouquets. Also, not easy to find in early February. It was expensive, but so stunning, that it was worth it for something designed to a person's preferences. I only have a photo of it prior to the lilies opening. Hopefully,, I will get a photo of it when they open up, and will post. I wanted something different, unexpected and special and that is exactly what I got. They were delivered the day after a 2-day snowstorm ended, and the recipient expressed a dear need for spring, and was absolutely delighted. They were very pleasant, and listened to what I was asking for. I did call them a week ahead of time, which allowed them time to order the specific flowers requested. They were delivered on time, and the delivery fee was a reasonable $5 (delivery address was a few blocks from the shop). I have not seen the shop. I ordered over the phone. read more

Beautiful and needed shop, however my experience was not optimal. I purchased a very expensive cactus. The cactus was delivered and when it began to sprout I noticed the sprouts were black. I called Walter Pine and waited for a response. In the meantime, I did my own research and found out this type of cactus was often diseased and would eventually die. The cactus is very prickly and ultimately I heard from Walter Pine who confirmed what I found. I tried to save the plant and unfortunately it got worse. It was very difficult to cut back and eventually it was disposed. I emailed Walter Pine and have not heard back. Be careful, when purchasing and make sure you get all information about a plant. .i wasted money, time and was extremely frustrated.. and I am a plant person. Buyer be informed.. and I think and would have appreciated some support or partial refund. read more
