They have no minimum spend. Delivery was seamless and the entire experience was top notch from first meeting through the wedding. Over a week later my flowers are still beautiful! Used to be great but now they're so inconsistent. Sometimes the flowers are great but other times we order the same type, the size and quality of the roses are drastically different. Another time we ordered spray roses and some of the rose's stems were cut off and just placed inside the bouquet. So disappointing. This is day 4. Flowers aren't even blooming. I inquired at Riehs Florist about creating an arrangement for Black History Month, and they assured me it would be no problem. I arrived at 7:00 am for a 7:30 am pickup, but it wasn't ready. Nice and friendly people. They offered same day delivery to me. They even suggested what flowers to give and picked the flowers by themselves. All i did was call them and have them deliver at my place to surprise my wife. One thing I didnt like was that they charged $7 for delivery fee. The shop is literally 2 mins from my house on the same street. I dont mind the fees, but there should have been proper disclosure of the fees up front than for me to find it directly in my credit card statement. Second thing, it was meant to be a surprise. When they could not find anyone, they called my wife even after explicitly telling them that in case of any issues call me not my wife. basically, gave away the surprise. Anyways, the flowers were beautiful and very well decorated. Loved it. Highly recommend this place. read more

I have been dealing with this Florist since 1996: unfortunately they have had to do the arrangements for both my parents funeral and arrangements for other family and friends funerals also. We also do Memorials for each of my parents every year. They also did my wedding in 2012. I have only had I problem which was resolved immediately but in so many years I am very happy with their work and the quality of the flowers. By the way the prices are great too. read more

My family has been using this for years and I mean years my grandmother always use this florist mostly for funerals and when she passed away they made an arrangement for her for all of her years of business she provided for them. I never physically been to the store normally always call and order. They are very reasonable with pricey and $7 for delivery. My last purchase on 11/2018 the delivery took forever my coworker almost left work before receiving her flowers 8 hours to delivery flowers is extremely ridiculously I had to called them 4 times and ask about the delivery and the delivery man called my coworker asking where was the building when I ask them to called me because it was surprise. The delivery needs to improve and the need to update their website and social media pages. We like to view flowers to base on what we would like to purchase. read more

I'm a big fan of this florist. This is what I tell my friends is something of a "Man's florist". The place is a bit of a mess, tucked in near the corner of 5th & Gerard. Flower clippings lying everywhere, rough wood flooring/counters. Cats coming out of the woodworks (well, perhaps just one). It's staffed by blue-collar looking guys (and one business-looking lady), who are few of words, but quick of hand. It just doesn't have the feel of a boutique. But boy does it have flowers! I've been here 3 times now, and have never walked away dissatisfied. First time in, just wanting some flowers for the GF around the house, I just got a $20 bunch, and it was as full and nice as any bunch I've gotten elsewhere, fresh flowers and well arranged. Second Time, I found myself in the unenviable position of needing some birthday flowers after work hours. I gave a call and asked if I could stop by around 6:15, after their 6pm closure if I put an order in. I was told to just knock at the door, someone would probably be in. I did so, was let in, and asked for a $25-30ish bunch of flowers. I got another huge heavy bunch of flowers; having only 20's on me, and with the credit system down, the guy sent me away with the hefty bunch for only $20, telling me to tell the girl where I'd gotten them and make her send me back for more. Sorry to hear about the other reviewer who did not get this service. I suppose it could be hit-or-miss with who's working. Sure enough, as the next event, I went back and ordered myself a bunch, big as ever, sloppy-shop and all, and I think this has now become my standard florist! Probably a 4-star place in reality, but I give them extra credit for being the only in-and-out florist in the neighborhood. read more

Just recently I order flowers (the day before Valentine's Day) and they not only were able to create a beautiful arrangement with such late notice, but again they managed to impress my mother! I first called the church and asked for a recommendation and they immediately said Riehs is the place. The staff at Riehs was friendly and very helpful. They had no problem at all creating a custom arrangement for me with white calla lilies, roses, gladiolas, carnations and bells of Ireland. The price was amazingly reasonable. No doubt I will be using them again since I am a flower junky who needs fresh flowers weekly - I will definitely stop by the next time I am in the area. When you are on a tight budget and short time line....look no further, USE THIS FLORIST!!!!! I was able to get the most beautiful floral arrangements (Casket spray and 2 baskets). I was all the way across the country in California trying to help prepare for my uncles' funeral here in Philadelphia; called here and was treated fabulously. Flowers were delivered to the church, with a short notice, on time, FREE OF CHARGE!! The young lady was so helpful over the phone. My husband and I live in Fishtown and were just married in early September down in Atlantic City. If you're getting married, please call Jen at Riehs. I wasted so much time calling the "big florists" that theknot and weddingwire, (etc...) featured ... What a waste of time (and Riehs has been around since the mid 1800's, so how much "bigger" can you get?). The other florists were all overpriced, slow to respond, and none had the customer service that Jen had. The price with Riehs was (across the board) $500-$750 less than any other florist. Just straight up. I had a very limited budget and thought that centerpieces (13), bouquet's (8) and boutonnieres (10) were out of the picture for me (forget the fact that they had to be delivered and setup all the way down in Atlantic City). Jen worked with me. She worked with me financially, she worked with me with color ideas (I had no clue what to do), she worked with me even on designing the rest of the dinner tables (when she noticed I was totally lost) by setting up a faux table with votive candles, a table number, and the vases with flowers. I had a hundred questions; Jen answered them all. I had another hundred concerns; Jen quelled them all. I absolutely cannot speak any more highly of the customer service, the price, the PRODUCT, the entire experience. Top to bottom.
