Coming into summer semester I had 14 classes to complete to make that happen. They make tuition sound doable but $90,000 for a BSN from a small school is ridiculous. They only admit one nursing program a year due to lack of hospitals accepting their clinical classes. I wish I weren't in such a rush when I toured here. Though I have left SU, they refuse to release my transcripts to another school until I pay what I owe. So much for higher education.

And then informed me that the program I'm looking to be in is only offered in the spring so since I was a semester behind I was actually an entire year behind and wouldn't be able to join the program until the next year. So instead of getting my associates in 2 years I'd be getting it in 3. But I was told as long as I take all of the winter and fall classes I needed I should be able to get into the program the following spring. He told me I just need to make sure I get a spot in the safety class they're going to offer in the fall for my program. Because if I have to take it in the winter I might not get a seat in the program because it's very competitive. So now it's fall registration time and they aren't even offering the class in the fall. So now i just have to wait and see how winter registration for next year goes if ill even get into the program next year or not. Which would have me at this school for 4 years. How stupid that I go to this school for an associates and it's going to take me the same time as if I just went to a university and got a bachelor's. And it would've looked better coming from a university as well. These counselors are a joke and will make you think they're helping you when really they're setting you back monumentally.

The buildings I've been to are a little dated but is still perfectly fine. The classrooms are have up-to-date equipment. The building I use has a few student lounges and vending machines. The class size is fairly modest, allowing for good attention to individual students. Students' achievements are nonetheless strongly based on the effort they put into obtaining their education.
