Carrieri Construction was the 4th contractor company I had hired for a full renovation of my…read morekitchen, living room, foyer, laundry room and guest bathroom. The previous 3 contractors did not work out for various reasons which aren't relevant for this review. I got Mike's information from my Dad whom had a chance to see Mike Carrieri's work first hand at his neighbors house, so he got the Dad stamp of approval. Mike came out took a look at the work I wanted done and immediately started asking questions and figuring out what the tricky items would be, something none of the other contractors had done. I was impressed by his knowledge and understanding of the various intricacies of this job. It was not only a full gut down to the studs but the plumbing lines were all in the slab as well as all the ductwork so jack hammering up the slab was not an option. Mike was able to figure out a solution in a few minutes and solved an issue that 2 of the other contractors just shook their heads at. Mike started work in November of 2021 on my home which was built in the late 50's early 60's and we quickly discovered multiple unplanned for issues like walls not being plumb, slab floor sloping in multiple directions causing height differences of over an inch between floor and ceiling, and the electrical was a disaster. Mike took all this in stride and just figured out a solution for each problem as it came up. I had heard horror stories of contractors just walking away from a job mid construction because the job was too difficult and I can honestly say I was nervous that would happen as more and more problems and delays, none of which were Mike's fault, occurred but he just took them in stride and said once he starts a job he will finish it and he was good to his word. In full transparency, he even mentioned that my house was one of the worst he had ever worked on in his many years of construction and the electrician agreed. Mike was really good about communicating about his schedule and if an emergency job came up that would cause him to arrive late or anything else. He also always took progress photos of the jobs and was really good about keeping the house as clean as possible. I was still living in the house with my 2 dogs during this entire renovation and each night before he left he would make sure the site was clean and as dog friendly as possible just in case they got out. He is also an extremely dog friendly person, which while not relevant to his aptitude as a contractor says a lot about his personality. The original job was only supposed to last 3 month but my kitchen cabinets (ordered from a kitchen cabinet store) arrived in December and were just garbage, broken, scratched, and quality was not what it should have been. It took 8+ months to order those and I was very distraught at the condition of these cabinets and knew I wouldn't be happy if we used them but we also couldn't wait another 8 months to 1 year to get more. Mike is an associate with Cabinets.com and was able to help me order all new cabinets and get them expedited not only saving me thousands of dollars but also getting them in 3 months. This caused an obviously delay in the project as its hard to have a kitchen without any cabinets but Mike just continued with the other work that could be done and when we got to a point where we couldn't do anymore he picked up a few side jobs while we waited for the cabinets to come in. He continued to keep me updated on when the cabinets would arrive and even rearranged his schedule so he could pick up my job again and complete it once the cabinets arrived. I can say that Mike has an amazing work ethic and even stopped by after hours or on the weekend if anything stopped working or went wrong. I got a new tankless water heater installed by a different company and there ended up being several small issues with the installation and use of it. Mike was always willing to answer any questions and even check on things with it. At one point we thought there might be a gas leak and Mike helped me check all the connections just to make sure nothing was leaking. I can continue to give many examples of how good of a contractor Mike is but I think the biggest compliment I can give is that after what was supposed to be a pretty straightforward 3 month renovation that ended up lasting 6+ months and had multiple problems, I was so thrilled with the final result that I am having Mike renovate the rest of my house in 2023. My friends, family and neighbors have also asked for Mike's information after seeing the renovation and the quality of work that was done. I can't recommend Mike enough and would give him 10 stars if possible.

After talking to him and explaining my time limit and everything, he said he could do it so I hired him on the spot. Our projected start date was originally June 1st, but didn't start until June 12th due to change orders at other jobs they were busy with. Ryan was the lead on my project and they were a pleasure to work with. In the end we had a mishap with Lowes and a couple of things that Mike came out and fixed, but in the end we got our beautiful little bathroom remodel, I've referred Damian's info to a few people, and would definitely work with Damian, Ryan, Mike, and again.

I can not recommend this person in any way…read more Everything started off well. We had Ricardo out to give us a quote on installation. He measured our home. We showed him the exact flooring we were purchasing and he said it was an incredible choice So he sends us the quote using an app that had a payment feature. We paid the full amount because we felt he knew what he was doing He said that the job should take about two days. It took over 3 weeks The first problem was when we received the flooring his workers insisted it was the wrong product. That we were somehow duped by the flooring company. Why was it wrong? Well they said they did not have the tools to cut that material. Okay so when I first talked Ricardo I showed him the label of the product and he said it was the best stuff on the market. He knew exactly what we ordered. He actually submitted the order list to the flooring company for us to make sure we got everything we needed So they get the tools to start cutting and installing. Now first week went ok. The number of workers fluctuated between 1-3 depending on the day. So it was going really slow. By the end of the week the workers tell us they do not have enough material. The measurements were wrong so we had to order more material. Turns out he also forgot to order the material for our stairs as well He contacted the flooring company with the updated information and what was needed. We paid for the flooring. Ricardo offered to not charge us for the extra labor. Awesome. We are frustrated but optimistic So we wait for the material to arrive. When it is delivered only one worker shows up. So it take 3 days roughly for the rest of the install. Again it fluctuates on how many workers show up. Never more than 3 workers and most days since the start of the project During the whole installation they were cutting the material inside the house so there is a layer of brown dust everywhere. They used our furniture to place their supplies on. They left their food containers, half eaten food all over the house So they finish the work. Last day they had a crew of three people including Ricardo. So Ricardo tells us the extra labor would be about $900. We questioned that since he said that would be covered. He said he did not deny offering it but that we agreed to pay that extra amount. So we are discussing it and we ask to confirm how much we already paid him. He says we did not pay him anything yet So we show him the receipt from the invoice app he uses. His reply was he doesn't know anything about the app other then it's what he uses to send out the invoice So an hour goes by and we are trying to help him with the app company to find his money. We are providing all the info from the receipt as well as sharing our bank record to show where the money was sent. His workers were becoming angry and actually saying we need to pay up Soon to try help we agree to send via Apple Pay the extra labor so his guys could get something Ricardo agrees. He has yet to get any answer from the app customer service but we offer to help in anyway going forward. They leave for the night. About 20 minutes later I get a text from Ricky saying he had previously explained how the payment process works. He collects 35% before starting work and then the remainder upon completion. Well we paid in full and at no time during the install did he ask for any payment He pretty blamed us and said he has employees to pay So about 2 hours later he messages me and says he found the money and he just used it on another job There is no professionalism. His workers were rude to us in the end. The work took far longer to complete than promised. In the invoice breakdown it included a price for hauling away way the debris. I had to take care of that myself. I would not recommend
