It has been open since august 2021 and has been deemed an environmentally certified structure. It is the replacement for the older parking garage that was found to be structurally unsound and was demolished in 2018. This new garage has the capacity to park over 500 vehicles and has charging stations for your electric vehicles as well as parking for compact and standard size automobiles. It has covered bicycle parking and also houses commercial and retail spaces along with public restrooms and city parking management offices. It is very well lit at night. As you go in to park you will take a ticket and I recommend taking that ticket with you when you head out on the town. There are elevators to get to all the levels or you can take the stairs. At the bottom of the garage there is a pay station. You can pay with cash or card Pay before heading back up to your car so your ticket is ready to scan to open the gates for you to leave as you reach the exit. There is some beautiful artwork on the outside of the garage and it really sets off the building. Parking here is pretty easy on the wallet. It was .50 cents per hour when I was there. I would certainly recommend parking here vs trying to do a parking meter depending on the length of time and where you are heading to in the city.

After the work day is over, the garage is free. A sky bridge connects the garage to Fountain Square mall for those afraid of the outdoors. Also, there is an awesome pay machine that talks to you as you walk by reminding you to pay before you exit the garage. Ingenious. I love this parking garage and will never park anywhere else while in downtown Bloomington. The biggest plus is it close to my favorite establishment in Bloomington, the Chocolate Moose! If you park here, you must make a trip there before leaving for the day. If you stall long enough, the pay machine will probably be covered with a trash bag and you can escape free of charge. Be sure to check it out, you will not be disappointed.

A comfortable work space in the corner where my laptops and phone plugged in and charged. The library is quite large and spacious. Lots of interesting spaces, tons of stacks of books, I thought the shelf of role playing game kits was a unique offering. You do not need to be a local resident in order to use the library, only to borrow materials. [Review 20560 overall - 98 in Indiana - 1541 of 2023.]

Extensive water damage has closed the Southern location till at least June 2024 so here I was looking for kids' North Dakota books for a school report. Not only did I find an extensive amount of books for my son, I got him some graphic novels, some launchpads, some free seeds from the seed library and a free subscription to the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. I was also intrigued by the library of mysterious things upstairs. The ambience was clean, well thought out, and the staff was superb. I will be back without hesitation. I heard there is a drive-through to drop stuff off for parents with young kids. I have noticed there were a ton of parents and small children there for various groups. Looks promising!

There is an energy around the square that I have not seen at other county courthouses. The courthouse building, completed in 1907 is constructed of Indiana limestone (of course). There is a large copper dome on top and four large clocks around the tower. A limestone-carved Lady Liberty sits over the main entrance with a male figure sitting beside her. The building is National Registered as a Historic Place. The Courthouse is surrounded by memorials. The is a really nice Viet Nam memorial on the West side with beautifully cared for flowering plants. On the East side is a War Memorial commentating those who served in multiple wars back to the Spanish American War. Other memorials honor local public servants. This is very much a working Courthouse housing the Circuit Court. Residents can register to vote here. Landscaping is variable around the courthouse with parts needing care. Many of the statues and the exterior of the courthouse building are in need of cleaning.

It is large, majestic and absolutely lovely. You'll want to try spotting the weather vane on the top of the dome which was saved from the original courthouse. The grounds of the courthouse have a number of memorials including a Civil War monument and a World War monument (because back then, there was only the one). There is metered street parking on all four sides of the courthouse and the square is surrounded by bars and restaurants and retail shopping. [Review 20563 overall - 101 in Indiana - 1544 of 2023.]

Very easily accessible lots of entrances and really hasn't felt crowded yet. Lots of concession stands all over the place as well as little smaller kiosks with people selling various things. In addition, game day is here from ESPN, so it is absolutely crazy out in the tailgate area. Lots and lots of tailgate spaces lots of sponsored areas lots of giveaways tons of fun stuff to do on a football game Saturday morning. Tickets were not overly expensive though, since Indiana is good this year they are selling out some of their games. they also gave towels at each of the seats for the game. Lots of music playing lots of energy in the stadium great day.

I was in the stadium during a graduation ceremony (not mine - it was bad weather and we had to have it elsewhere). But, I never went to a football game. So, this year, we decided to correct that. My wife and I went to see the Northwestern / IU game on and took our two kids with us. It was cold in November, but we dressed appropriately. I stewed over which seats to reserve and when we got there, I realized we had great seats but also, there really is not a bad seat in the house. It was a great time (helped that IU won!). The stadium has a great college atmosphere to it, it is easy getting in and out (we parked at the stadium - easy peasy). We had some football game food that was not gourmet, but better than average for a football game. We just sat on the bench. I saw other people come in with seat pads or seat chairs. I read how someone was not allowed to do so - but I saw others doing it so I don't know what the deal was there. I also had no issues getting the seats that were sold to us. We had a great time and I look forward to going back. My suggestion is go make a day of it and experience some IU with a game if you are going.
