Really cool clean park! I sat outside for 30 mins listening to the waterfall. Very clean and nice. I suggest checking out downtown seguin and this park! It's like a blast from the past. I was shocked to see it Empty. The locals and people visiting are truly missing a hidden jewel. Nice walkway with lots of seating. I would have loved to spend a more time here. This will be a go to stop every time I stay in seguin. I am truly shocked it was empty. Maybe it gets packed on the weekend. Great job seguin at keeping this place clean and very attractive. We have spots like this in Houston and I've seen spots like this in Austin but they get super packed. Maybe the people of seguin are just tired it lol not sure. Must stop if you are in seguin.

It is good that our tax dollars are used to provide citizens some respite from the concrete jungle. This park has many walking trails along with plenty of benches. There is a creek, many grassy areas, and a bridge spanning the river. I would like to see some BBQ pits. Other than that, I really don't see what there is to do there but sit and watch the water.

Moving to the area a few weeks back, my pup had the pleasure of checking out a ton of new dog parks…read more& i have to say this was my favorite thus far - stopped in for a good 2hrs today & we had a blast :D There were a ton of very active dogs (20+) of all sizes & plenty of room for them to run around, a few canopies & trees providing shade, working water stations, and down-to-earth friendly people that you could actually have great conversations with. I also did appreciate that folks at this park do seem to understand that if your dog is the size of a squirrel, it should likely really be playing on the small dog side & that if you bring your kids, it is your responsibility to watch them ;) All kids that were there were very well behaved and knew how to act around the dogs. The only reason i am not giving 5 stars is because a handful of dog owners did not seem to really care to correct their dogs, so there was a bit of bullying going on & a few bad habits picked up by the puppies that were there from adult dogs that should know better, e.g. constant jumping on & over tables that people were sitting at, jumping up on people & kids and cornering of the more timid dogs to where some got spooked, were then defensively barking just trying to get out from under the pack, with the owners of the bullies just standing by .... So, if you have a rather skittish dog this may not be the park for you, but if your baby is self-confident, well socialized & used to bigger dogs / able to tell them off, you'll have a ton of fun at this park - like we did :)

We were very frequent visitors. We had a downfall in 2021 and now shes a senior, blind and a T1 diabetic and bumps into everything. but fetch is her life so we kept going to the park and I would bring her favorite scented squeak toy so she could hear when I throw it and smell it to find it. But our visits started to become complicated when dogs would just run her over or run away with her ball leaving her frantic because she couldn't see was going on. I often times had to get her ball back from the dog and walk to another empty part of the park and toss her ball to her so she could play and get her exercise. This wouldnt stop the dogs from constantly stealing her toys and running away and the owners just laughing at me. And I would explain my dog is blind and needs her ball so she can hear and smell it to play. They would say "it's just what dogs do" which irritated me. Since I kept moving to empty parts of the park and they would just follow. Theres thousands of balls there and hers is a scented squeaker made for blind dogs. So I picked her up and left. I started taking her early mornings when no one is there and that worked for a while. On may 8th we finished our walk and a lady came in with her 2 dogs, no big deal I was snapping my fingers at my pup so she could follow me back to the car. One of the lady's dogs ran over which I thought was just going to say hello, pinned my dog down and started chomping on her. I quickly reacted and grabbed the dog off my dog and picked up my dog and ran her to the fountain to check for wounds. She had a bad puncture in her back that required 3 staples. It was a horrific day. I won't be going back here anymore. I wish they had dog parks made for disabled and older dogs. Its frustrating trying to find an area that's gated where she can run and explore and not get bullied or completely run over by other dogs. We just take little walks around my complex now and play fetch inside my apartment.

I am a Yard Bar refugee and recently visited Watering Bowl for the first time. I appreciated their…read moreregistration system, which allows you to handle everything online before arrival. However, when I arrived, no one was at the front, so I had to check in at the bar. I wonder how that process works for dogs that may not follow all the rules and are already in the park. The concept is quite similar to Yard Bar, right down to the mulch. The bar offers canned beer, wine, cider, sodas, and water. The restrooms are porta-potties, but the one I used was clean. The park features many large trees and plenty of shade. Three Rufferees were present at all times, and I thought the use of walkie-talkies was a nice touch. The front desk informs the Rufferees of the dogs' names, which is quite cute. I do wish the bar provided water for humans; instead, you have to purchase a can of Liquid Death. There was ample parking available. Overall, it was a decent experience, and we plan to return when we have more time to make the drive.

Don't forget to follow them on social! Then you can see the fun activities going on my personal favorite was prom!

This dog park is huge, with a section for large dogs and a section for small dogs. There is a strong and hearty fence, and a leash station to keep dogs from getting out. There are water fountains and benches for the humans, water fountains and a hose for the dogs, and agility equipment for the dogs. There are always plenty of poop bags provided and for the most part it seems most owners pick up after their dogs. There are burrs around, which stinks if you have a long-coated dog, but alas, that's anyone's front yard these days! Most dogs who come are well behaved. Our pup is shy and sometimes has to outrun the rowdy dogs, but I've never seen a fight or anything dangerous at this park. There is plenty of parking and bathrooms nearby.

There is also an awning that provides shade for each side. The sign says under 13 is not permitted. Not sure why.. but I guess it's a liability for the city. Most dog parks don't have any of the amenities this one provides. There is a bathroom located right out the gate. Look for the softball fields when driving in. Can't miss it. Surprised there aren't a ton of dogs and owners taking advantage of this place. Completely empty for the past hour.

I have a 20-pound Frenchie that thinks he's a Great Dane, Diesel. He gets along fine in the big…read moredogs area, which is really the only area used by 90% of folks for dogs big and small alike. Diesel loves Bark Park and perks up when he realizes where we're headed. In dozens upon dozens of visits, he's been humped a handful of times and subjected to a little rough play, but very rarely to the point where I felt it was unsafe. Bark Park is a pretty typical dog park in this respect, maybe a bit less aggressive than others I've visited. The regulars here are pretty diverse and super friendly. I'm kinda introverted by nature and have a good sense of stranger danger, but I get drawn into a lot of conversations, mostly because Diesel is an enthusiastic idiot who somehow runs at normal dog speed despite his small stature. Regarding the parking, yes, there is a lot at the far side of the dog park, and yes, you have to traverse a four-foot-wide path with your back to the traffic whizzing by at all of 15 MPH if you choose to park in this lot. Closer spots are sometimes available, but when filled, I mostly default to the baseball field parking lot across the street. The biggest logistical problem here is poor drainage. There is a small wading pool that often gets filled and ends up with stagnant, dirty water, which Diesel seems to gravitate to after he gets winded. In general, the water situation at Bark Park is not optimal...fountains work poorly, and drainage is bad throughout. There are a few water jugs sprinkled about in an attempt to mitigate the issue, and provide fresh water for pups. The amount of shade could be better. If it's midday during the summer, I'll drive to Phil Hardberger as the foliage there really helps keep the temperatures a little more reasonable. Bark Park installed a gazebo last year, which helps with some shade if you are sedentary, but I like to walk laps because otherwise Diesel loses his mind. The trees at the park seem to be underwatered; a large portion of them have been cut back or cut down, and not a lot of foliage has grown back in. The issues are minor enough that 95% of the time, I'll prefer the five-minute drive to Bark Park over a fifteen-minute trek to Harbender. Diesel has enough fun that we've been frequenting it with some sort of regularity for a few years now.
