The Latin baked goods stand (which seemed to be a mix of Brazilian, Mexican, etc), was the star of the show at the market with by far the longest lines. The market also featured a cheese stand, produce, compost business and plant stand. The vibe was super low key- don't expect a bunch of extras like music, entertainment, etc.

(I'm even more excited to continue tasting oil because they left behind the bottles for me.) They were very nice - my house guests really enjoyed the presentation, the tasting, and the mingling (happy hour/appetizers) leading up to the tasting. They were willing to work around my plans and answered every question with enthusiasm. Salt River Lobster is pretty much run by some dudes who are slanging fish/clams/crustaceans out of a truck for a living. I ordered a lobster tail, a pound of mussels, and a pound of Ora King Salmon filet, which all cost me about $46. $46? What? It's because that ocean grown New Zealand Ora King Salmon is like $26 per pound. Yes, it was worth it! That fishy salmony taste was amazing and exactly what I was seeking. The color, aroma, and flavors made it worth the price. I read the criticisms by other people on Yelp but can't speak on them and hopefully they're not true. I like their products and that they sell out of a truck, but not sure if they're better price-wise when compared to an Asian fresh fish market.

The lady there told me they were expecting a baker and someone else. It was 1 1/2 hours after the starting time. She didn't have rhubarb, but said she sold out at her booth in Gaithersburg the day before. She promised to have some the following week (today). Well, I bought rhubarb in Bethesda yesterday, but it is green and I kinda wanted the traditional red; just in case. I ventured back today and sure enough, she had rhubarb! It was the red kind and it was also 1/2 the price I paid for it in Bethesda. ($2/lb.) I was planning on giving this market only two stars, but the lady there assured me that as the harvest of fruits and vegetables mature, more farmers will show up.
