Seriously, I could live off this stuff. It's really chunky and slightly tangy.. probably a result of using lemon juice versus lime. I don't believe they distribute to grocery stores yet, but I'm hoping they will at some point. $5 will buy you an 8 oz. portion of guacamole. I frequent the Bethesda Farm Market off Arlington Road on Sundays & you can find it there. Good eatin', I tell ya!

The chips are great too. The kind that you wish every latin restaurant had and are really disappointed when they don't. If you are around town on a Sunday you MUST stop by here and pick up some chips and salsa. There are only two things I wish they would do, 1) Sell a bigger size of the salsa (although I guess I can just keep buying two at a time)..... 2) I wonder if they would consider not using parabens as a preservative for the chips. Methylparaben acts as an endocrine disruptor and can be a health concern for people like me. I still love your chips, I just always feel a little guilty when I look at the bag and see that their are two different parabens in there. That's just me though, I'm sure lots of people don't care and the chips are still fantastic.

I told the gentleman manning the booth I was curious what he was offering and he provided me a quick overview and the availability to sample some of the greens. I circled the market and made my way back to pick up a container of yummy sorrel micro greens. I also stopped at the fish truck and ordered the lobster roll. Surprisingly I've never had a lobster roll prior to today. The lobster was good and the roll it came on was fantastic. Although, I enjoyed my sandwich I can't justify a $17 sandwich for lunch on a routine basis. There were plenty of food options but not enough farmers selling fresh produce. I counted only two farm stands, not including the micro greens guy. Parking was plenty and there was even live entertainment and covered seating provided. I would definitely recommend dropping by if you work in the area. Next time, I plan to pick up some of the unique popcorn that I noticed with interesting flavors.

The parking is mostly in the adjacent lot and ... let's just say this is a bit of uneven terrain and therefore not so accessible to everyone ... so that can be a disappointment if someone with mobility issues comes unprepared (such as not knowing or without a mobility device). There are also some interesting hummuses available -- such as one with artichoke, and they do give samples! It is small but (can be) great for its size, depending on one's needs, wants, and timing!

Part of the allure of this market is that you can enjoy the 10-12 vendors and then mosey your way through downtown for antique shops, coffee, a park, pastries and more. During our brief visit, we picked up a vegan curry chickpea salad, chai tea, empanadas, and fresh juice. The Latin baked goods stand (which seemed to be a mix of Brazilian, Mexican, etc), was the star of the show at the market with by far the longest lines. The market also featured a cheese stand, produce, compost business and plant stand. The vibe was super low key- don't expect a bunch of extras like music, entertainment, etc.

The lady there told me they were expecting a baker and someone else. It was 1 1/2 hours after the starting time. She didn't have rhubarb, but said she sold out at her booth in Gaithersburg the day before. She promised to have some the following week (today). Well, I bought rhubarb in Bethesda yesterday, but it is green and I kinda wanted the traditional red; just in case. I ventured back today and sure enough, she had rhubarb! It was the red kind and it was also 1/2 the price I paid for it in Bethesda. ($2/lb.) I was planning on giving this market only two stars, but the lady there assured me that as the harvest of fruits and vegetables mature, more farmers will show up. OK Lady, I am going to hold you to that. Now I am off to make my Rhubarb Slice. Operating Sundays; June 7-October 25; 9am-1pm

The vendors selling pastries tempted me, but I had a full breakfast before coming. Next time I will come to partake in beignets from one stand, and an eggy meal from another. There were many others to chose from too. One vendors was selling a huge variety of apples. He even had sweet Ambrosia apples. I came with a friend for a Yelp event. We left with a variety of micro greens from Yu's Farm Market. My friend said they were so much cheaper than the ones she buys from another farmers' market. Good to know! I will be back. My dog is enjoying his beef stick. He doesn't have very many teeth so I need to cut it up for him but all the same I will be back to buy another one on my next visit. This was probably the last gorgeous day of 2022, but this market is open year round. I'm willing to don my winter coat and return next month.

It has introduced me to some new foods and makes me eat veggies. The tomatoes are AMAZING - nothing like store bought. I will eat nothing but baguette, garlic, olive oil, balsamic and those tomatoes once they arrive. And I don't even like tomatoes. The CSA is very flexible and can work for all people and their families. They have multiple drop offs and can be a seasonal or year round CSA. It isn't just fruit and veggies either, this CSA has supplements such as legumes, rice, dried fruit and nuts, bread, sometimes yogurt and cheese. And, OMG - the eggs. Can never eat a store bought egg now because these have huge orange yolks and are creamy. I don't usually like eggs either, but I love these. I have recommended this group to many friends, not just for the value and quality of the weekly harvest. I have a lot of respect for the spiritual family that runs the CSA - good people trying to do good for the world. Highly recommend them over other CSAs in the area.

It's because that ocean grown New Zealand Ora King Salmon is like $26 per pound. Yes, it was worth it! That fishy salmony taste was amazing and exactly what I was seeking. The color, aroma, and flavors made it worth the price. I read the criticisms by other people on Yelp but can't speak on them and hopefully they're not true.
