Our kid is super happy with KinderCare!

We toured this center during the pandemic when our son was one year old. We were impressed by the previous director Grace. However there was a waitlist back then. Luckily we got in just before this summer started! This time the new director Ms Noella has been so friendly and supportive to welcome our son into the TK class. Comparing to a previous school, where many incidents involving an open wound (not getting any first aids or filing for incident report to the parents), sitting in peed clothes ALL DAY because "my teachers didn't see me pee", or despite sending 5 sets of change clothes, when our son was socking wet from head to toe, the teachers never changed him into clean clothes and would allow him back into an AC-ed classroom where all teachers were wearing jackets! No more worries like these with Ms Noella's class!!!!!! As a mom, I feel bad when I had to trust my child with incompetent schools. I sometimes blame myself for not choosing more wisely. With Ms Noella, during our first minute meeting, I told her that I am a "helicopter mom" and a "squeaky wheel". She embraced all my fears and worries for my baby boy, with her warm smile and big hug! During our second tour this time, we got to see the TK classroom and met with Ms Rose and Ms Nicole and Ms Laureen (who's the magic cook that cures all picky eaters I heard!). We decided to enroll and entrust our precious boy with her team. This is our first week, however it feels like we have been here for my kid's entire life. Everyone is very welcoming and chill. Ms Rose would always be eager to share her observations on our child's behaviors with us. We don't need to even ask! They truly treat our child as their own! This transition to new school is THE BEST and smoothest among all of our 4 preschools and daycares in the past 4 years!! I was expecting at least one tantrum ‍ or at least some mentioning of our son's previous school, but we haven't heard much. He has already fit in with the new friends and environment by day 4!!!!! Overall, my assessment of a preschool is usually based on safety, curriculum, engagement and passion for kids from teachers, and involvement and supervision and guidance from the center director. All checked out and some even exceed my husband and my expectations! I'll highly recommend to anyone who's looking for quality education. We regret not following many of our friends and coworkers recommendations and wasted time with other schools! (Thank you Ms Noella for your warm welcome! )

Personalized welcome to class! Every child feels special here.

To our surprise, many schools do not use an app. The extracurricular activities are so engaging - I like that they bring an outside coach to engage the kids in sports, Mr. George for music, and Ms Brittany for reading. The meals are also great. My son is open to eating a variety of food as a result of the meals serve at the school. In terms of academics, my almost 4 year old can count to 40, knows the ABCs and write his name. All in all, LGA makes life easy for parents, especially working parents. Even the morning drop off procedures are so quick and seamless. Between my older daughter and son, we've been at multiple schools in the area and I can say that LGA is our favorite.

The team keeps the kiddos busy with many activities such as art, music class, sensory activities and more. Their aim is to ensure that the children are in a fun and positive environment while learning and growing every day. My favorite part of LGA is that they use modern day technology to keep you updated on your child all throughout the day. You receive hourly updates on what meals they are serving your child, updates when their diaper is being changed, nap time as well as photos of your kiddo. Even though you may be spending hours away from your child - Their system is amazing and really keeps you updated on everything. I love it! The price for childcare now a-days is pretty expensive no matter where you go - But if your child is spending more time here than their home, you should want them to be in the safest and best environment. LGA is a place where we don't have to worry, our child absolutely loves going there and it's really hard to find a place who will beat their quality and care. 10/10 recommend!!

C2S has an amazing lifer heading the program/center. Katy has literally spent her adult life at this center. Its her passion and it shows. Each and every staff member i have encountered has been amazing. our 3 year old loves his time at C2S. This center is modern, accepting and celebrates each and every child without making it a huge deal (like most of us). I've been to a few of the celebrations and you can not help but smile ear to ear. The center is clean, roomy, secured, and they have a great playground (super important). The team regularly sends photos and you can see how engaged the staff is with the kids and vice versa. Katy and the admin team are SUPER on point and timely with the back office side of things. I have more difficulties getting responses from my own team and employees than resolving items and gettings responses from the C2S team, something you do not see too often from daycare/preschools. i can not say enough good things! happy to share with the yelp community this amazing hidden gem. i did the footwork, found the best day care in the area.

That said, if you can get a spot at Michelle's, you have won the jackpot. Finding quality childcare was significantly more difficult than I could have imagined when we started searching for my eldest. We tried both a facility setting and another in-home setting in Pleasant Hill before finding Michelle through a trusted friend. We knew instantly that she actually cared about our son and she went out of her way to meet him where he was and help him feel confident and comfortable in her care. Fast forward to today, our family has been with Michelle for 4+ years and she is one of the few people I would have trusted with our second baby when he was an infant and I had to go back to work. I never worried a single day knowing my kids were in her care. Kids Kastle has been our village for many years, all of the teachers are sweet, truly enjoy children, and work hard to keep things FUN. They are very knowledgeable and stay current on licensing standards and go above and beyond the guidelines. As a busy mom, I have appreciated that they were consistently on-time and extremely reliable over the years. I didn't ever have to worry about good quality meals, diapers, or other supplies. The kids always came home covered in paint (meaning they had a blast and played outside a lot!), well fed, with handfuls of projects, and they were both well prepared academically and socially for TK and Kindergarten. Michelle leads with high emotional intelligence, decades of experience in early childhood and unwavering empathy and partnership for all of the ups and downs of raising little ones. She has maintained relationships with families that she cared for many moons ago and I've witnessed those same long-term, multi-sibling relationships blossom with other families we've known during our time there too. Michelle has become more like a bonus family member for our kids (and us) and my older son still RUNS to give her hugs at every chance he gets even though he is in elementary school now. Our baby was about 5 months old when we started his care there, and I believe that Galina's concern and care were integral in his development (and ours as parents) over his first 2 years. She helped us establish a naptime routine such that when he was home, he went down without a fuss. Which also transferred to bedtimes being painless. She would let us know if something seemed wrong (a cough, runny nose, irregular BMs, etc.) and give us tips for what to do at home. As new parents, we were grateful for her advice and consideration, but she was never judgemental. While Galina's pricing seems high, she delivers with enrichment: everything from birthday parties, art projects, celebrating holidays (the Mother's Day projects were SO CUTE this year), and dance parties. She and her mom bake all kinds of treats for us to take home throughout the year, and always makes sure all the kids are at the house for big holidays. My kid has had a great first two years of making friends and exploring his world. It also is a small group of kids so they all get really close. I have connected with some of the parents and hope we can keep their friendships alive over the coming years. As an only child, our kid really benefitted from being around kids of varying ages for him to play with. The big kids taught by example and I think having the little infants around have helped him be gentle. Galina also does potty training. Once my kid was interested--mainly from other kids at the daycare being potty trained--, we bought a potty at home and he already was going #1 consistently at 21 months. 10/10 I highly recommend Galina's Daycare!

We've watched our boys grow into independent, loving, and smart kids, and we credit so much of that to the play-based learning and daily care they receive. The curriculum is thoughtfully adjusted by age, which we really appreciate, and the small child to teacher ratio makes such a difference. Plus, the kids eat so well! My younger son is thriving just as much as his older brother did. The team treats him with such genuine love and affection that any "drop-off guilt" I would have had is replaced by complete peace of mind. Environment: The facility remains meticulously clean. Despite the daily whirlwind of activities, the toys are sanitized, the floors are spotless, and the "daycare smell" simply doesn't exist here. Safety & Communication: Biana remains incredibly proactive. Whether it's an update on a minor "ouchie" or a clear plan for air quality and safety, her communication is thorough and immediate. Nutrition/Development: We continue to be amazed by the meal program. Just like his brother, my 18-month-old eats nutritious, homemade meals at Miles of Smiles that he would likely turn his nose up at at home. We are also impressed that he constantly demonstrates the fine motor skills and vocabulary Biana works so hard to cultivate. If you are a parent who is hesitant about daycare or worried about finding a place that meets your "particular" needs, Biana will put you at ease. Things were not working out as planned at another daycare closer to me, and that is when a friend of my husband's mentioned going to Regina's instead. We were, and still are to this day, very fortunate for the referral. My oldest daughter spent about 9 months at Regina's until she was able to attend Kindergarten at Bancroft. I appreciated that Regina and her helpers created not only a positive experience for learning, but a nurturing environment for her growth on all spectrums. My daughter was a bit in-shock from changing daycare environments, and I appreciate the dedication and sensitivity to help overcome that. While I am impressed how much my oldest daughter was able to change and grow, my youngest daughter made some unbelievable milestones here -- and they are a reflection of how great this daycare really is. She benefitted greatly to receive about two years of care here before she moved onto TK a couple months ago. She was initially having trouble walking (late walker), and Regina recommended a type of boot to help her gain confidence with walking. Sure enough, she was able to navigate as soon as they were on her feet. The magic did not stop there. What sets this place apart, and this is something even my husband's friend mentioned is that Regina's place displays a strong outpouring of empathy. They teach the kids kindness, how to look out for each other, and how to be a good soul. That is difficult to find anywhere, let alone, something that is even remotely taught today. The empathy was mentioned by BOTH of my daughers' teachers; when I attended a parent/teacher conference earlier in the week. My oldest daughter is one of the top students in her class academically, and so is my youngest! My youngest daughter's teacher mentioned to me it is unusual for a 4 year-old to be able to know most, if not all of her alphabet, but have the ability to differentiate between upper and lower case letters. She is also apparently the only one in her class that can count past 5, and up to 100. I even enclosed the test results below this review, so you can see how she did. She did goof on one letter for each, but still... 25 out of 26 is amazing! I want to also add Regina taught opposite words, how to write numbers, alphabet letters, learning about the seasons/days/months, TONS of hands-on enrichment activities, music (Regina is an amazing piano player!), and private links to YouTube videos of their holiday celebrations. Regina paved the way academically, as well as leaving everlasting impressions that carried through that I am absolutely appreciative of. I am forever grateful and thankful. I really am. Regina's daycare is worth its weight in gold. The education, TLC, social interactions, carefully-crafted home cooked meals, and structure are truly the building blocks for the small group of diverse children under her care.
