This is my second PA drive in theater experience. There is usually another location that I go to so…read moreI cannot help but to compare. At first I was not really impressed ... minus the staff who was my actual first impression and they were very nice and cool. I was surprised we got there a few minutes before gates opened and the whole road was filled with a line to get in. They have one gate and let two cars enter. We had to buy tickets ahead of time and it was per person - not sure if this is common or just for this theater or just for special events. We went for the Godzilla Kong two day event. There is only one large theater and they gave us like no directions on where to park or what to do or anything. We got a spot pretty up close and it was not easy to see where to leave from - they definitely need more markers. I think they assume many people here are regulars but that was not the case and direction by mouth or way of sign would have been helpful. We felt so bad leaving and were not sure if we went out the "theater" correctly. They have a very small like merch stand and a very old snack stand that does have bathrooms- I got nervous seeing the port-a-potties. The bathrooms are very tiny and the stalls are even tinier so if you're claustrophobic (or a more plus sized person) it might not be super comfortable. They did have a decent amount of snacks and I like that they also sold vhs and vinyl inside. There were a bunch of cool displays for this event which I also enjoyed. I do not like that they didn't have radios to rent. Not really trusting using my car radio I did have to purchase a radio to be able to pair. They basically have an mc/dj who made a curated playlist and talked about the movies before hand. It didn't get dark until 9:15 - we only stayed for one movie because of how late it was and when we left we didn't realize how crowded it was. There definitely were some pros and cons to this theater- we'll probably be back mostly for convenience because it was a straight shot up 476 which made getting here really easy. It definitely is a bit more ... noticeably old and I don't know if they play new movies or not. But overall it was enjoyable. Next time we might stay close by when they have a triple feature like this.

It was a clear night with a lot of cars, music, special events, costumes, and just a fun vibe throughout. The on-site radio station runs programming and music up to dusk and the start of the night. We listened from a warm SUV close to the screen and even though everyone was in their own little clusters, we all laughed and cheered loud enough to carry across the open field. The people running this show do it out of love for film, the drive-in experience, and the people who come to see these films. The movies are scheduled so it brings together fans of horror, fantasy, schlock, shock, and classic Gen-X flicks. Check out their podcast which can be linked on their website. In addition to a great concession stand, they've got cool swag and merch. The portable toilet experience is hit or miss, but that's a minor bit of 'roughing it' in exchange for the experience. When we were there, a concert was playing up the road and sometimes competed with the sound of the movies, but I didn't mind that so much as some entitled whine-factories. It's just like it felt back toward the end of the golden era when I was growing up in the 70s and early 80s. Movies on a big white screen outside among a thousand close strangers. Definitely worth the drive if you're between New York and DC.

So I wanted to check it out and then I read that they have a bar in the house open to the public. The house is very cool looking from the outside. It's lit up pretty nice and there's a parking lot half a block away. When you walk in you notice it is a huge old school house like hundreds of years old. And there's a little bar set up in a corner. After you get your drink, you can find a seat somewhere in the house and enjoy your drink. There's also a little board games, a fireplace , and a piano if you choose to play it. I had a great time at this mansion. I think we had about three drinks so I got a nice little buzz on. Also, the bartender was very nice, I do not remember her name but I told her I would be writing a review and she got really happy with that. She also told me a spooky ghost story from one of the rooms in the house. I won't spoil it but it was a good story. I would definitely return to this house for a drink and possibly to stay for the weekend because it is also a bed and breakfast. Also they do a murder mystery weekend there but I did not experience that.

The murder mystery itself was the highlight, the storyline was engaging, and the actors were clearly well-trained in improv and very kind. Murder Mystery: 8/10 The room was fairly standard, what you'd expect in an old-timey house. No TV or modern extras, but there were plenty of charging outlets, which was appreciated. Room: 7/10 The food during the stay was incredibly disappointing. Most of it felt like reheated microwave meals. Breakfast included eggs, bacon (very thin, broken pieces), cubed potatoes that were oddly watery, ham slices, stale danishes, cereal cups, and a parfait option that had run out by our 9am time slot. Dinner was similar in quality. I chose the cheese ravioli, but despite being second in line, it was cold. The same watery potatoes from breakfast were served again, along with green beans. The only highlight was the coffee, which was good. Food: 2/10 Unfortunately, the parking situation is very poor. There are only 5-6 spots directly outside and a few more up the hill behind the carriage house. I was dropped off at check-in and informed staff that my boyfriend would be arriving late. I was assured there would be parking available and that staff would be present 24/7 to assist him. However, I woke up to a call from him saying he couldn't find parking. I went downstairs to get help, but no staff could be found. Not wanting to disturb other guests, I eventually gave up, and he had to park on the street in the neighborhood on top of the hill overnight. At breakfast, we were briefly told about additional parking behind the carriage house, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue from the night before, nor any attempt to make it right. Parking: 1/10 The staff overall seemed inexperienced and, at times, unprofessional. While I empathize with younger staff members, there were several uncomfortable moments--such as hearing an employee joke about "killing" another staff member over a small mistake, and staff walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to ask follow-up questions. Staff: 4/10 Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, especially the murder mystery, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more worthwhile stay.

They left my internet running in a house I sold with no modem and no data flow that I canceled and charged me any way. As the competition gets into this area they raise their speeds in the package that you have. They no longer "rent" hardware. They recently "loaned" me a new modem and two Eero routers for free. I would give their internet service 5 stars. I'm dropping 2 stars based on the Ephrata physical office. They're only open a few days a week so of course the lines an get long at the two windows they have. Nothing is automated. To get the modems and router I had to wait for a woman who had question after question and the window person kept adding ideas. She literally held up one line for 30 minutes while the other window slowly digested the other line. Then to get the router I have to fill out a card with the same address and phone information as they should already have on my account. This includes a field for Social Security Number - SSN is not an ID number and I would have to trust their database folks to keep it safe. Nope. Then I have to turn the card over and fill in my name and sign it again. Not a huge deal but I have an account with them, can't they simply log the device serial numbers? Plus, I'm pretty quick, I watched an elderly lady take over 5 minutes just to fill in the card. It would be super easy to improve that process. I hope I don't have to go in there again any time soon.

Everything Mack installed had to get replaced and redone in 2019. He sold me a 100,000 BTU 96 AFUE unit and after being paid. I was told it was a 80,000 86AFUE unit. To post a lie earns a lawsuit, watch how these facts remain on this site. I did contact the PA Attorney Generals Office and was offered $2,000.00 from the company to make my complaint go away. As I had to replace and redo all at over $5000.00 and had already paid Mack 4700.00 I refused. Who offers 2000.00 when they are correct? No one. When I found that he was local and saw his ratings, I knew I had to try his service at least once. I switched from a bigger company who installed my equipment because it was difficult to get service and I had to speak to 2 or 3 different people to arrange that. I was tired of having to make phone calls, wait for replies and being made to feel that people were doing me a favor by charging me to come out for work. Mack called me back himself within 10 minutes of my message. He "interviewed" me on the phone about the problems I was having. He went to my home, serviced my unit and had it running right away. He also gave me advice and suggestions about keeping it running well. The price was a little cheaper than my previous company, but still within the range for an annual service. I will continue to use Mack because he seemed to care about my home as if it were his. Paying him was the last thing on his mind, he wanted me to be happy first. That's difficult to find; it's a pride of craftsmanship that is lacking in the bigger companies. I will use Mack from now on and you should too.
