Left a bad taste in my mouth…read more During a road trip, I visited this store today to buy a bunch of stuff we need to open our cottage. They had most of the items we were looking for, or at least an acceptable substitute, and reasonable prices. Though we did quite a bit of extra trekking because the stock was being moved around due to construction and the mostly helpful staff didn't know locations as well as I think they usually would. The reason I'll never go back to this (maybe other Canadian Tires?) is their "store policy" that all packs be left at the front desk. The second time I was told this - and no one ever asked my husband, who was also carrying a pack - I told them that it was my purse, containing many valuables, and that I was offended at the implication that I might shoplift something. I told them they were welcome to follow me around while I shopped, or that I was happy to leave the $300 of merchandise and go to Walmart. They just kept saying it was store policy, and I shouldn't be offended. My response was that it's my policy to be offended when I am accused of even potential shoplifting. By then we were at the register (I just kept going), and I checked out and left. If they don't trust me, why should I trust them with a bag containing my wallet, passport, electronics, keys and other valuable/personal items? The most suspicious people are typically the least honest, in my experience.

The next day I returned, they informed me that they did not have the tire size I needed. Their solution was to change all four rims and charge for four new tires on top of that. This would've cost over $800. It was unbelievable. So I instead tried calling other independently owned tire stores in Sudbury and luckily found one that had the tire I needed. I had to take a taxi to the other tire store because I couldn't drive my car over there in the condition that it was in. I returned and had the tire changed. Then just my luck I got another flat tire the next day... Sudbury potholes. So I went to the Canadian Tire in New Sudbury and they had the exact tire that I needed. They had several of the tires that I needed in stock. THE SOUTH END CANADIAN TIRE DID NOT EVEN CALL THE OTHER CANADIAN TIRE TO ASK IF THEY HAD THE TIRE I NEEDED. Instead they tried to scam me into replacing all of my tires and rims. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

I can get a bit cluttered when it's super busy but I always see people cleaning up so it's pretty organized Even if there's a long lineup for the cash, don't worry because it tends to go pretty fast and they call cashiers to the counter

Ah, Dollarama - you have become my go-to store for just about everything. And why not? Dollarama…read morehas grown over the past few years to include just about everything you can think of, so why pay more elsewhere? Pros: - This Dollarama is quite large and the items it regularly carries are seldom out of stock. - You really CAN get just about everything here - home decor, toiletries, clothing, party items, pet products, food, school supplies, outdoor stuff, and much more. - The price, of course, is always right. Prices have risen slightly over the past few years - there are more items at $1.50, $2, etc. - but nothing is over $3. How can you go wrong with that? Better yet, if something is missing a price tag, it's automatically $1. - Like every other store in Southridge Mall, this place is never truly busy. This, of course, means that you can browse in relative peace and quiet. - Lots of parking; you won't have an issue finding a spot close to the store's entrance. - Checkout experience has always been quick. Cons: - Staff can be hit-or-miss - some are cheerful, some are sullen. Always worth the (short) trip!
