They like to leave out items in pick up orders and they refuse to refund or give you the items that are missing. This has happened to me just about every time I get a pick up order and I don't suggest doing it its worth your time to go ahead and go in or choose a different Walmart. read more

I would like to thank the young man in the automotive department at the Rolla Mo. Store. He was the most helpful person I have ever had at this store!! My wife and I where looking for several items in the automotive department when we had one of the best encounters we've had with this associate. Not only did he help with finding items, he physically took us to the aisle and help search for items, and when could find them, he got on his little hand held devices and searched to see where else in the store it might be. But the most surprising thing was this happened at 8:00 am on Sunday 2/1/26. We have never had a associate go out of there way to help us like he did. When othe workers were stocking and shopping this gentleman stopped stocking and helped us. We did not get his name but someone needs to find out who he was and thank him for us. He was the type of person that Walmart built there reputation around. Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, respectful, THANK YOU YOUNG MAN. Please keep up the great work!!! read more

Kind of an average Walmart. I got what I needed but nothing really stood out to me. Appreciated that the bike we wanted to get our daughter was in stock so we bought it here and will take it back to TX with us. (It was out of stock in all our nearby Walmarts back home) I have to say, the parking lot could use some repairs. Man! There is a pothole I hit that nearly swallowed my vehicle. Hope I didn't damage my van hitting it but it couldn't be avoided. Checkout lines were all super long. Cashier was friendly tho. I'm sure I will return again before my trip is over... we'll need to stock up on some road trip snacks before heading home. read more

DO NOT WORK HERE. i was an automotive technician who was fired for not performing a third quality check on a vehicle. Heres the context, i made a service ticket for a girl to fix 3 flat tires on her vehicle after a tornado, after i wrote her service up, i went back to complete the vehicle i was working on then went to cleaning up the shop, there were 3 other technicians on all working on vehicles. After about 2 hours and its 7pm, our coach, Allison, tells me to help out with vehicles saying there was a ton on the board that needed to be done still, i complied without question and when i checked the work orders, the ticket i wrote up was still there, other customers that came in after her got their services completed before hers which was against walmart policy, i then completed her car, during the process another technician got upset that were couldnt close the store down because i was still working and so he did one of the tires. He didnt air the tire up enough and i noticed this during our figure 8's so i brought it back into the shop and aired it up and sent it out. forward to today, our team lead comes out and has a team meeting, part of it was he told everyone to keep their safety glasses on or he will have to fire us which he doesnt want to do because it was a stupid reason and looks at 2 employees who arent wearing their glasses, only 1 of them puts their glasses on, then later calls me into the office to fire me for not doing a 3rd quality check on the tires for the ticket of the 3 flat repairs. There are also numerous times where he has told everyone in the shop to put on their safety glasses but has not fired anybody for them. i have many more stories but to summarize, i have been harassed, discriminated against, and threatened 4 times, once was with the team lead right next to the employee who did so but he purposely turned a blind eye and pretended he didnt hear it. The managers at this walmart will target and terminate any employee who calls them out on their bs or does things the right way when the boss wants to take short cuts. DO NOT WORK HERE read more

your pickup time is atleast 30 minutes late. people are working based upon the pickup time for additional tips when delivering through spark. Accurately estimate your times or dont do it at all. Also tell your employees to watch where they push the stocking carts ive been hit by them twice. read more

This does not reflect Walmart itself. This has to do with the automotive part. This particular Walmart has the worst customer service ever. First they have a guy not knowing how to do the job. They told us it would be about an hour to an hour and half to look at a tire that was low and possibly need to be changed. We walked around Walmart for 2 hours and the car has not been brought in. It took is asking and complaining to one of the associates about it not even being in the garage yet. The person working the counter said it could be a 3 or 4 hour wait before they could even get us in. Walmart whatever happened to customer service??? Clearly its lacking in this department. Not enough staffing, too many associates filling internet orders and the 10 foot rule I guess is dead! And I don't feel like I should have to check myself out so they can save on payroll, especially since they have raised their prices dramatically! Also the parking lot is in awful condition. I always say I hate Walmart but somehow I'm always here. Walmart can have a bad rep but it always has exactly what I need. I can walk in with a list of one item and walk out with twenty. There is one greeter that is always so friendly and in a good mood. I will say this Walmart is pretty organized and has great employees that are willing to help you out with whatever you need. I either love a Walmart or hate it and the rolla location is one of my favorites! read more

Walmart Supercenter - a lot of cars in a parking lot - Grocery Near Me - Rolla, Missouri

The Walmart of Rolla, Missouri is just sad. When we were promised brand new renovations to the store, all we were given were the aisles slightly rearranged, confusing customers on where everything was. If that wasn't enough, they also removed the nice floor tiles without even bothering to replace them. The floors themselves are a perfect analogy of this Walmart's overall problem: they just don't care. Another good example of this can be found back in the movie aisle. When the renovation were completed, the movie aisle showed the most promise, now sporting a TV showing trailers of upcoming movies as well as a nice little area to buy popcorn. Since then, the popcorn area has been removed and they never updated the trailers. you will not believe how sick I am of seeing trailers for SCOOB!, Valley Girl, Sonic the Hedgehog, and especially Wendy. You don't need that trailer to hear children screaming at Walmart. Outside the entertainment department, the store sports many shelves that are either under stocked, empty, or have the items haphazardly thrown on. When it comes to the Rolla Walmart, they never have what you're looking for until after you've found it elsewhere. The only real positive I can say is that their Popcorn Chicken from the Deli is always fresh & delicious and their employees are usually very friendly, though other critics will point out some less than savory attitudes from the auto repair shop near the back. All and all, it's not the worst Walmart, but it's a sad time when the local Kroger's, Price Chopper, & Aldi's can outdo this super store. Heck, K-Mart probably could too if they hadn't shut down. Oh, and I almost forgot, this Walmart also nearly killed me. One day I found one of those motorized handicap carts just left out in the middle of the parking lot, so I decided to bring it back inside. Upon reaching the inside, I backed it up to the wall so I could plug it into charge. Now for some reason, my mind did NOT send up red flags when I saw the cover on the plug-in loose, thinking it was just part of the aforementioned renovations. You can imagine how surprised I was when I plugged the cart in, only to be met by sparks flying out as well as a black cloud of smokes. I pulled my hand away just in time luckily, having time to notice how dead quiet it got as the people walking past me had stopped to see the show. Before I could say anything else, I simply walked away, intent on getting some popcorn chicken like I had planned. Putting the perfect irony cherry atop this sundae was the fact that [at that time] Walmart had stopped selling Popcorn Chicken. In other words, I had almost died for nothing. Once people enter to the store they removed their face mask or pull down so the nose is uncovered. People don't respecting the 6' distance in line to check out. They need to implement their rules and cdc guidelines. Walmart in Rolla better get your stuff straight!!! read more

I wish I could give negative stars. The cashier at the automotive desk was very rude to me. I was 2 items over the limit so I went all the way across the store to put it back in the spots that I got the items and came back , He didn't bag up any of our stuff (lightbulbs, etc), he didn't wear a name badge so I couldn't get his name, and not did he unlock the door the first few times thinking he unlocked it and finally did unlock it. He was very rude, giving my significant other and I dirty looks. I really couldn't believe how terrible the customer service was. read more

I joined Yelp just to write this article. To be clear, this is not about Wal-Mart's Supercenter, which I still believe is a good and quality store staffed with qualified professionals for the most part. This is about Wal-Mart's Vision Center located near the store's east entrance. I moved from St Louis to the Rolla area about 3 months ago. I don't live in Rolla, actually I live in rural MO about 40 minutes away, with Rolla being the closest Supercenter to me. A year ago, I bought a pair of eyeglass frames and had them filled with my prescription. Before I moved, I bought two more pairs of glasses and wanted to have them filled; the cost to do so is about $240 / each. I stopped off at my St Louis Wal-Mart and obtained the aforementioned cost, what would be needed to bring into the store, and what I needed to tell them (I always buy various coatings since I do computer work and I buy Transitions). The lady in St Louis printed me a Wal-Mart specifications sheet that had my prescription on it and she hand-wrote the itemized costs. She told me that though she hoped to see me again, I could take this sheet to any Wal-Mart and they would "fix me up". I thanked her for being so thorough and a couple weeks later I was living here. This past Saturday I made a special trip to Rolla to have my 2 eyeglass frames filled. I took the sheet the lady from St Louis gave me fully expecting to have them ask if I wanted to have an eye exam performed or fill out some paperwork. Instead, I was told I needed a Doctor's note which had my prescription on it. I told them I had the sheet St Louis used to fill out the frames I happened to be wearing and I wanted the same prescription applied. No, it had to be a doctor's prescription. I told them can't you call and confirm with your other store? No. Okay, I guess I could give you my original doctor and confirm with her --- I gave her the name and city of that office --- then realized I didn't have my phone on me, so I couldn't give her the number. Back in my old customer service days, that would be the time I'd get up and go oh let's see if I can find it for you on our computer, or on my phone, or see if we can borrow my manager's phone to look up the number. We want to help you. No they didn't even budge. So I said thanks for nothing. I was upset and I went to the store manager. I explained my story to him. He seemed like he both understood but he also got RIGHT IN MY FACE. Like 2 inches as if to challenge me for something. He took me back to the Vision Center and I then had to re-explain all of this to the Vision Center Manger. She was terrible. She was condescending. She was disrespectful. She made no effort to see I made a special trip. She made no effort to improve my situation. She said over and over and over again, I needed a doctor's prescription to have my eyeglasses filled. Now, think about this. If you buy a pair of frames online. Eyeglasses.com. Zenni Optical. Any number of places. Contact lens too, all you need is the specifications for your lenses. Pay the amount and in between 2 days and 3 weeks you'll have brand new frames with your prescription in them. Rolla Wal-Mart won't do this. St Louis Wal-Mart will do this. I asked if this was a change in policy. She said no. She was mad at me because I was too stupid to realize I needed a doctor's prescription. I said she should post this policy because it runs counter to everything else out there. She then tried to try to sick the eye doctor on me. At which point I had enough and I left. Think about your options as a consumer. Wal-Mart, specifically THIS Rolla Wal-Mart Vision Center, knows they have you over a barrel. They know they offer services and when you are in their store, you are a captive audience. It's not in their best interest to service me: they want me to buy an eye exam, buy a pair of their frames, and have them fill it. Of course there is a store policy which prevents me from doing an end-run around them. These were my prescriptions for corrective lenses. Not a drug prescription. I could NOT give the frames to someone else nor expect them to get high from them. So what was the problem? There was no reason for Wal-Mart to put this obstacle into place. Before you go to this Wal-Mart vision center, ask yourself if you want to put yourself in the hands of people who actively care more about themselves and making a profit, then offering superior customer service and helping you. This particular Wal-Mart vision care center doesn't care about you. And that's a shame. UPDATE: I took my eyeglasses to be filled in St. Louis. Not only did they expedite my order, no questions asked, I asked them if there was any reason why Rolla would block this request. They said NONE. read more

Went to the Walmart in Rolla, MO tonight. They are renovating and rearranging. I could not get anyone to help me look for items I went there for. No one could run a price check, either...or tell me where to find a price checker. Then, to top it off, I had to check myself out...$365 worth of stuff!!! Unbelievable and disappointing!!! I would like to just start off by saying this is by far the worst Walmart I have ever been in. I have seen management roll their eyes when a customer needs help. I have seen employees make fun of a disabled woman who couldn't scan her items inside of self check out. I have also seen assistant managers screaming at other associates right in the middle of the sales floor. There's an office for that right? Every time I go into that store there's something new. Weeks ago some alcohol bottles shattered right in front of the grocery side doors. Alcohol and glass everywhere and instead of cleaning it up right away or blocking off the area it sat there for 10 minutes. Were there associates around to see it? Yes. Did they care? Apparently not. I went up to customer service one day to return an item and a manager and associate stood there right in front of me talking and laughing until the conversation was over. Its nice hearing about your weekend and all but you are at work and I have an item to return. Not to mention going in during the busier time of day and there only being 4 cashier and lines going all the way back to apparel. Here's an idea: Wipe out all of management and get fresh faces that actually care about the customers and their associates and maybe this store would get better reviews. Long story short, if you enjoy being made fun of, waiting in long lines, stepping in glass and alcohol, and witnessing manager/associate altercations in the middle of the store then your local Rolla Walmart is the store to go to. If not, there are many other places in Rolla to shop. MANY. Walmart, you lost my business. read more
