For somebody who avoids most all Walmart stores like the plague for 10+ years, I have to set the record straight. Not all Walmart's are created equal & this one that shines on several levels. First, it probably has one of the nicest location, I have ever seen a Walmart at. 2nd, it's clean & well organized. And it offers a good selection of fresh food, from grocery to many other items. It seems locals & tourists frequent this location equally. Whoever manages this Walmart deserves a praise for sure. I just left the Walmart in Pass Christian, MS. I went through the self-check out, which is usually staffed with several pleasant and helpful people. Today it was just Audriana (sp?) and she was glued to her phone. My scale would not work, and I had to get help to get her to even come over to help. She never said a word, and she started pushing buttons. She could not get it to work, so I told her that I did not need the onions. She walked away without a word. 5 minutes later, I was unable to close out and pay. She was, once again, buried in her phone. After finally getting her attention, she walked over, scanned her card, and walked off without a word. Audriana has no business working in that position. read more

This Walmart has always done a stellar job with stocking items, helping customers, cleaning up both inside and outside, and having quality selections. Just about every time I go to the Pass, I make a stop in, whether I need supplies for where ever I am staying or just to drop in and get snacks. Being a beach front store, you're going to find a lot of beach items, but they don't overrun the store. I'm impressed they always have working self-service stations and almost always have several cashiers available. I know when they first built it years ago (and rebuilt it after Katrina), everyone was a little apprehensive, but it's been a welcome and positive addition to the charm of Pass Christian. read more

We absolutely love this Walmart! It is always our first stop when we come to the beach! The prices are as cheap as we are used to at home and everyone is so friendly! They keep lots of beach supplies right up front. This makes it so easy if you are in a rush and dont want to get out of the "vacation" vibe! They also have a great selection of fresh fruit which is really nice for your beach day ice chest! read more

The selection of Masters of the Universe: Origins figures is poor. Despite at least one new thing (Talon Fighter & Point Dread), all of the figures there are all wave 7 (the line is currently on wave 13 and 14). I didn't even see the exclusive Moss Man figure. read more

A five star review of a Wal-Mart? I promise I'm not high. Just so you can understand my dislike of most Wal-Mart Supercenters, one only needs to look at my tip for the Covington location. I suggest that should anyone from Yelp see me there, they should punch me directly in the face. That is not hyperbole and I welcome someone knocking sense into me should I ever step foot there. But that same guy is here telling you that a different location offers a five star experience and he didn't take any mind altering substances? Roger. That. This Wal-Mart is awesome because of its staff. The people who work here seem genuinely happy to be at work. Here are a few things they have done that impressed me. Me: Do you have any of these in stock? There aren't any on the shelf. Empoyee: Hmm. I'm not sure. Normally if we did they would be out here. Let me go check. This employee said this with a smile, didn't seem bothered and actually returned with teh item I needed. Me: Can you tell me where (insert item) would be? Employee: Sure, let me show you. This employee led me halfway across the store just to help me out. The same guy actually remembered me on a subsequent visit and asked how things were going. He also helped me carry out some heavy items and loaded them with me with a smile on his face. No matter what part of the store I have been in, the employees have been amazing. When is the last time you have encountered a friendly Wal-Mart cashier? Every time I have been here I have had a friendly cashier. I'm not talking friendly because it's a requirement. I mean genuinely friendly and helpful. It is like this location is in an alternate universe. If you need anything from furniture, electronics, food, etc., and I can't believe I am about to say this, you need to come to this Wal-Mart. It is awesome. read more

This is the best Walmart I have ever shopped at. The majority of them are miserable places I try to avoid at all costs. This one has always been so nice and well staffed and now that I am working out in the Pass I will be going by here everyday!! This will allow me to NEVER have to make a trip to the Gulfport Walmart yippie! That place causes me to be hypertensive I'm telling you! So I order a lawnmower online this morning. I go in on my lunch break and go to customer service and what-do -you-know.... There's my mower ready to be pushed out and placed in the car. The nice guy at the desk put it in my SUV and off I went. We have visited this 'Walmart' location for many years, and used to love it. Years back it seemed less populated by customers, and I realize that Management has almost no control on that aspect. However, the past six months to a year (plus), we have noticed the Employees at this particular 'Walmart.' 'Walmart' Employees are marked by the Blue Vests clearly, and my Wife and I have been annoyed, at all hours, and several times by the rude Employees here. They may not outright, mean, to be rude, but we perceive it as such. Their presence is invasive, we understand they need to stock, but in the evening, way before closing, they do not need to be taking up two separate aisles, at the same time, wheeling back their empty dollies. Other Employees at this location, act like they're other Shoppers - and get this, their non-verbal pushiness, makes it seem like they're other Shoppers (but they aren't). We understand that they need to re-stock the Store with items, but the non-Greeting, in-your-way, present in (seemingly) every aisle, acting like they should have preference to access the shelves etc. is way too old! Management needs to teach these Folks that Customers are a priority, and that their acting like they all 'own the Store' attitude is degrading to the overall Customer experience - in my opinion! read more

If you live in the area I would suggest coming here other then the one located in Gulfport because this one is so much nicer and not as crowded. Different type of crowd comes here which is alot better then the crowd that goes to the ghetto one in Gulfport. Its also right across the street from the beach if you want to walk on the beach. Gas station is also available and a Subway inside the Wal-mart read more

Pros: Walmart is clean with friendly staff!!! Great garden center with pretty healthy plants, parking lot is RV friendly for overnight parking. Cons: A few pan handlers that seem to be there every time we stop but that seems to be the norm for walmarts now, kinda poor selection on common items but it beats going to gulfport! read more

Let's just get something straight, I hate Walmart. That said, this location is convenient and very clean. It just sucks that there's really little to no competition in this area. Their selection is mediocre and their prices are terrible. I may be spoiled living in Texas and having HEB but every time I come here, I get sticker shock. The produce is usually terrible looking and expensive to boot. The layout makes zero sense. Too bad Rouses is gone. That place was amazing. read more

This is quite simply the cleanest and most attractively designed Wal-Mart I have ever visited. Been here 3 times on trips down that way to the local casinos and always been able to find exactly what I was looking for and will make this my primary Wal-Mart whenever I go there in the future. This is a 2 part review: Pharmacy: 1/2 STAR I was Initially greeted by a tech who took my Rx and insurance information. She was an extremely nice lady despite she was getting off of work, or her break soon. She assisted me as an out of state customer (a tad more time consuming), but I use my local Walmart Rx and am in the system already. After waiting almost 47 minutes, I asked the young lady at the register if my 2 Rx's were ready and she said "not yet"......I joking said, is he growing them? Just as if you were in a restaurant pop waiting on your meal and you would say, "did they have to go catch a cow!?!" The young man Pharmacist Brandon K. made the comment he would push my Rx's back, thus making me wait longer!! (He also stated he had an HOUR to fill my Rx. There is NO signage to state this, nor was it stated to me by any of the techs working that Rx's were taking an hour to fill.). Stating he was going to push my medications back was Unprofessional and unbecoming conduct of a person in his position and extremely unacceptable! Let me remind you of you Pharmacist oath you took Mr. Brandon K.! "I promise to devote myself to a lifetime of service to others through the profession of pharmacy. In fulfilling this vow: I will consider the welfare of humanity and relief of suffering my primary concerns. I will apply my knowledge, experience, and skills to the best of my ability to assure optimal outcomes for my patients. I will respect and protect all personal and health information entrusted to me. I will accept the lifelong obligation to improve my professional knowledge and competence. I will hold myself and my colleagues to the highest principles of our profession's moral, ethical and legal conduct. I will embrace and advocate changes that improve patient care. I will utilize my knowledge, skills, experiences, and values to prepare the next generation of pharmacists. I take these vows voluntarily with the full realization of the responsibility with which I am entrusted by the public." Also per the APhA Code of Ethics: Statute IV: "A pharmacist acts with honesty and integrity in professional relationships. A pharmacist has a duty to tell the truth and to act with conviction of conscience. A pharmacist avoids discriminatory practices, behavior or work conditions that impair professional judgment, and actions that compromise dedication to the best interests of patients." This was also breached. Unfortunately, the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacists compliance officers had already gone until Monday morning. Part 2.....Store review: 4 STARS I went to customer service and asked to speak to the person with the most authority that was in the building. The ladies at the customer service desk were extremely nice and helpful. Co-Manager Chandler came promptly and I told him about Mr. Brandon K. RPh's. behavior in the pharmacy and he was going to push my Rx's BACK. He was extremely helpful and gave me the name and number of the pharmacy manager. I have of yet not reached Mr. Lambert, Pharmacy Manager. Chandler, the co-manager also insisted I take a $50.00 Walmart gift card.....I told him I didn't want it, but he kept insisting. My complaining was not about trying to get anything for "free", it was about being treated in a professional, ethical and moral manner.
