A preferred customer card is required for sale prices. The store is conveniently close to the Appalachian trail so hikers are able to refuel. The surrounding Berkshire mountains make an ideal setting for the store.

He said we don't need to call ahead for ox tail and that in the future they can just cut the meat there. Next time we need ox tail, we don't call ahead. When we get to the butcher and ask for ox tail, the lady butcher said we should have called in advance. She pointed us to the prepackaged oxtail because she said she didn't want to cut any more oxtail (again, that's our understanding of what a butcher does). Not clear why it's made to be our fault for a lack of communication within the butcher department, and it's not clear why they can't cut meat for us. In each of these instances, we were the only customers at the counter. The meat is great, but the service is confusing and leads to frustration.
