Terrible experience. Ordered delivery with express service due to not being able to leave the house caring for my husband who just had surgery for a shattered rotator cuff. Order was picked, got notified that driver was on the way, and two minutes later, got notified that delivery was attempted and they need to reschedule. This store is all the way across town. There was no way delivery was attempted 2 minutes later. We call the store to find out what is going on since the driver is not answering the chat option, and my husband got yelled by a Walmart associate that we have to call 1800Walmart because we used express. My husband wanted to talk to a manager and the pick up person yelled at him then hung up on him. We ended up cancelling the order after waiting till 10:30 pm for nothing. NEVER USE EXPRESS DELIVERY!! The general area and employee interaction is horrible, no one speaks English and they just shake their heads and walk away. HOWEVER, I was in the gun area today looking for something and a young lady named Paige came along. She was absolutely awesome,not just because she was cuter than cute, but she was actually motivated to ensure I actually received quality customer service. She did her best to answer every question, showed me everything I wanted to see, offered even more, and continually engage in conversation with me. She never gave me the usual "Walmart Stand and Stare", or the typical,"that's not my area". She went beyond the regular how May I help you, way beyond. Feb. 25th. 2025, 12:20pm. Once again, Walmart showed their total incompetency. I needed a battery and went to walmart.com. It clearly states a 24F value battery fits my 2000 Toyota 4Runner. The lady at Walmart said we don't go by walmart.com. We go by this book. I said we have a problem then because your website says 24F value fits my vehicle and it also says on Toyota website 24F value also fits. Toyota forums say the same thing about the 24F battery-fits just fine. She said I cannot give you warranty then because our book says that battery doesn't fit your vehicle. I think my initial review was when I still had my "Fresh to Midland, Rose-colored glasses on." I have since removed my glasses and am seeing this town as it really is... crap. I would say I have shopped at this Walmart 30x? It's always the same. I must have caught Walmart on their one good day with my initial review... My most recent trip today was a joke. I came looking for one of those little plastic baby pools that you can get for like $5. Most of the employees didn't speak a lick of English... so no help there. When I did find an English-speaking employee, he said "if we had them, they'd be in lawn and garden." Well I had already been over there and didn't see them. But I would say on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) for employees, I would rate them about a 2, maybe 3. I'm just getting sick of the lack of customer service I have been receiving in this town. Par for the course, 99% of the time, this Walmart is out of at least a handful of the items I need. When I do grocery pick up, it's not usually a problem because they'll sub another product at no extra charge. Today they were out of Great Value broccoli florets. So I had to spend extra $ for Bird's Eye. Oh and a bonus, all the customers here are usually grumpy AF. I don't necessarily blame them because they live in Midland. And God forbid your kid isn't a perfect angel, they'll look at you like you're the worst parent in the world. Lastly, the parking lot is usually a shit show. People going the wrong way down a one way, lines backed up at the exits, idiots zipping across isles without stopping to look if a car is coming... I'm giving this place a generous 2-Star review. Walmart has become one of the worst retail stores there is. Went to the one here in town and of course it's only self check out. Had a problem with a item scanning the wrong price and they kept telling me that it was correct. Whatever price show up is what it is, even though the tag and phone scan showed different prices. After 10 min they got it fixed, even though they seemed mad about being wrong. Most of the people that were working were walking around with their phone out not willing to help anyone. Seems like a waste of money to pay someone to just stand around and text. Will definitely be ordering from Amazon from now on. At least if I get bad service I only have myself to blame. read more

I'm not sure if this is an issue with this particular Walmart or a consequence of overcrowding in Midland but a lot of stuff ends up being out of stock at this location. I would often order online and pick it up here which negates the possibility that I wasn't looking hard enough. Speaking of online orders, on occasion, I've had to wait till the next day for stuff I ordered from the website offering "same day free pickup" and it wasn't at the last minute in the evening. The parking lot is also very poorly designed with only a limited # of exits out which compounds the overcrowding effect. Couple that with inconsiderate drivers and it's often like playing Frogger getting in and out of there, especially the Grocery Pickup zone which is often blocked by a long line of cars getting in and out of the parking lot. read more

I went to buy Beats Headphones for Christmas for my friend that lives out of state. He came down after Christmas and opened his present then. Opened the Beats and found a newspaper instead of the headphones. I payed $330 and was ripped off by this Walmart. We noticed the plastic wrap had been taped on the bottom with clear tape. I have a feeling I was sold a returned item. Went to customer service with the recite to try to see what we could do, and they said there was nothing they could do. I shop here because I have to...as do most people here in midland which is why mostly everyone at this store is abusive and lazy and they can get away with it!!! wrong prices in the shelves and when you get to the front it's always higher and they REFUSE to honor it!! some don't wear name tags but sylvia, jose and bobby are names I know are disgustingly rude and treat people like dirt. one day I was there and this heavyset woman was prancing around self checkout (an employee) while another employee was spraying some kind of foul smelling body spray on this woman and there were lines backed all the way up. management allows their younger NOT handicapped employees to park on the briarwood side by the curbside pick up spot and use the lame excuse that there are no poles with attached signs to enforce it... that's BS. lazy employees that don't want to park where they're supposed to and nobody does anything! the bathrooms are always disgusting and yet I see this sweet little asian lady or hispanic lady cleaning them. the toilets don't flush half the time and the doors don't lock...walmart makes more than enough to fix this issue. I gave two stars because the people in grocery, bedding, housewares, toys... we'll all the departments keep their departments up to par. also there's a lady named melody at the front door is super nice , does her job and is always smiling. y'all need to fix this place. the one on the 20 has a lot of bad reviews but I actually prefer to go there when I can. Well first of all never been the biggest fan of Walmart. But as I have traveled my last 14 years they became more favorable. This one is an older looking Super Walmart. It has everything you would need when available. Don't come looking to get all that you want here on Sunday. You are better off losing a night during the week or if possible come during the day Mon. - Sat. I know you can late at night or in the wee hours of the morning but hundreds of others have thought of that already. This Walmart is open 24 hours a day. If there were more hours they would be open those also. They are always restocking. So that is a plus. But as fast as they restock customers empty it out. There is never enough tellers. Lines are always long. I have tried to avoid it just because the lines. I have even left. The parking area is always full of cars. so be careful with little kids and elderly people walking. There are 2 Walmart's in Midland. I have not been to the other one. But it feels like everyone comes to this one. Due to the boom I have been told they receive shipments Mon. thru Sat. The people here are pretty good. Even thought it's always busy they are always in good spirit. I gave them a 3 for the effort they do to keep up. And the people working. I would give the people 5 stars if could. The tellers work as hard as bartenders at a busy nightclub on a Friday or Saturday. Nonstop. read more

Wow. When we moved here we had to go to the Wal Mart on the other side of town and it was so bad that I quit going to Wal Mart for anything unless I had to. This one finally reopened and WOW This Wal Mart has the money center the other one didn't have. The pharmacy people are a thousand times better. It is also clean and well organized. Pretty much like every other Wal-Mart. Never really have anything in stocked and almost every employee doesn't speak English. Also I don't mind the self checkout but the constant need to get approval on every little thing is annoying. Pretty much every employee up front are rude and mostly kids watching over self checkout but they never pay attention so you have to actually walk up to them to get approval on an item. I always come to this Walmart to put money in my Walmart card to transfer it to one of my kids. Tonight Suzette tried to tell me I couldn't do it because the amount was too high. I've done it about a dozen times and I know it's possible she told me to come back the next day during the day. She was rude and whispered "fuck that" to another coworker as that coworker told her I was waiting at the register. It seems she was being lazy as fuck and I don't see why she had to argue with me. Spent $510 and then went to customer service and asked them to exchange my $40 for $1 bills. They said they couldnt do that. The BANK in there couldnt do it either because i didnt have an account with them. Poor customer service all around!! I will take my $500 somewhere else from now on. read more
