Staples like MCL, Stein Mart, Teresa's School of Dance, Weight Watchers, and Royal Mandarin, which have been around for a while, are responsible for getting folks in the door, but new stores like the Meadow's Cafe, Antiques at Meadows, Ace Blind & Drapery, The Classic Man, Darrell's Diamonds, Repeat Boutique, and the Farmer's Market are welcomed additions that keep folks entertained and coming back to the mall. 2018 saw a lot of changes for the Meadow's Mall - new ownership and new tenants - and I'm very excited to see what else is next for this Terre Haute gem!

We ended up at Kohl's in Vincennes, Indiana. So as I was shopping with my eight-year-old, and my 88-year-old dad and here it is almost Christmas. There were all kinds of people in the store and it was busy. I was shopping with my dad and all the sudden I realized he had left us. This is not a big concern, but slightly because I never know what we will end up doing so as we were shopping, and looking for dad, I find him, and this absolutely precious sales clerk (I think her name was Hailey) was taking him around the store, helping him find 2 pair of pajamas for my mother. She was very patiently waiting as he would find either a reason that it was not just perfect or it wasn't made quite right for mom. Not one time did she do anything less but to smile and try to find something that would suit him. The funny thing is my dad is very particular when it comes to shopping and it is very trying sometimes on your patience. But not one time did she do anything except encourage him that they would find the perfect pajamas for my mother. I don't know for sure how long she helped him but I know I was with him for about 15 minutes and they had been looking for quite a while before that. I just want to give a big shout out once again to Kohl's in Vincennes, IN. This is why I love shopping at Kohl's, Customer Service is number one! Meijer (which I do not have in Las Vegas where I actually live) in my head is way better than Walmart and Kroger, but not as good as a boutique grocery spot like Baeslers or the health driven option of Fresh Thyme. This location is horribly convenient where highway IN46 and I-7O converge. Like the casino that is being built right here as well, often it can be about location location location. Having been in this store a few times over the years, I always find it clean, bright and open, football field size massive, well stocked and always organized with a good welcoming feel. It always is never horribly busy to me compared to Walmart, which is a negative for Meijer but a positive for me. I can always find the produce I am looking for in their abundant produce section and it is pretty good quality. We have had luck with the prepackaged salmon at the meat case. Conveniently located. Pretty well stocked every time I visit. Clean. I do return and will continue to do so when back in Terre Haute.
