The bottom of society exists at this Wal-Mart. This store has always been awful. Everyone is a zombie. A bunch of unemployed people wandering around aimlessly. Cashiers are unbelievably slow. I don't know how you can even make your body move that slow. Self checkout is just as bad. Just a bunch of zombies staring into space, doing nothing. Wal Mart is intentionally making the checkout process worse. It can take 45 minutes to check out. Not because there are a lot of customers, but because everyone is so SLOW. They don't want you there. On Marh 12, 2026 I went into the Livonia 7/Middlebelt location in Livonia, Michigan. Ariel at the U-Scan said go to register 34 and I did, not once did see say card only, Upon making cashing my sale out it was card only and I told Ariel she should have said that in return she told me I can read and from there I got in her case and told her I pay her salary and all customers who spend their money here are paying their her salary and she continued to argue with me as she was standing there biting her fingernails. Coming back from my review I made 3 years ago to say little to NOTHING has improved. The only positive thing about this location is the curbside pickup which is pretty fast, depending on when you go. Many of the associates are disrespectful. Walking out today, I had to show a receipt to prove I bought something before I could leave. I was yelled at and the reason I bring this up is because many others were leaving without having to show any proof. I get protocol but it shouldn't be a selective process. I left a package at the register and once I realized it about an hour had passed. I called the store for almost 2 hours and I'm serious almost 2 hours. No one would answer their phone no matter what I called every single department can you believe even pick up and delivery didn't answer. So after an hour, I finally called the pharmacy. Kudos to them. They're the only department that answered the phone. I told him that I was looking for a manager and that I could not get any single department to answer their phone. the first call ended with OK let me try to get someone for you. I waited five minutes. I finally hung up called back as soon as she answered the phone she said could you please hold waited for five minutes hung up the third time I called she just flat out, lied to me and said the manager told me to forward your call to their extension. I told the pharmacist they're not gonna answer the phone and they didn't. I literally cried because I left my grave marker there for my mother's grave and I really really wanted to know if they put it up for me just answer your phone. That's no way to run a business not answering the phones in every department that's crazy. I will go back tomorrow after work and get another grave marker, but not before I go to Customer Service and tell them exactly how I feel about their lack of concerns about anything customer related. I am soooooo frustrated and rightfully so,Just answer the phone this is not the first time I've had issues with Walmart and their phone practices. They just will not answer the phone. Scheduled a pick up order for 6:00 PM and didn't leave the parking lot until a little after 7 PM. They had one (associate in training) running all the pick up orders, which seems incredibly unfair and exhausting. The associate forgot the milk, but I'm not even upset about that. I hope this store evaluates their current management and workloads. A better experience for their customers, and more importantly, their workers. read more

One extra star because of cleanliness. We just moved to the area, and while we honestly don't expect a lot from any Walmart, we were hoping this one might be different. The outside looked new, clean, and well maintained, so we were hopeful. Unfortunately, that's where the being impressed stopped. When I asked an employee for some help, he neither recognized that I spoke, nor spoke to me. No smile, no acknowledgement. He just started walking away, expecting that I follow. He pointed to what I had been looking for and walked away. Not a word, despite my "please" and "thank you", my smile, and my general politeness. Later, an employee at the self check out had to code into our machine to delete an accidental double scanned item, and you would've thought I asked her to buy my groceries for me. She was so put out. When I thanked her, I got a cranky "Yeah," as she walked away. The place was packed, and unfortunately, the clientele was the same level of rude. I know times are hard, but if we don't even try being kind and helpful to one another, we've truly lost everything. I will say, the store was clean, but it was also sparsely stocked. I found less than 50% of what I was looking for. I know that may not be the fault of the employees. So, if you keep low expectations of courtesy and kindness, you'll be fine at this Walmart. Went shopping today with my grandkids, we went to see if there was any Halloween clearance, We went down the clearance aisle, halfway, the associate was putting stuff on the shelves and I asked her to move the cart that was in the middle of the aisle so we could get through to the other side, she looked at me with a whole attitude and said she couldn't move it. No problem, we went around however, she was more than rude! Hope she has a better day! Then we went to the back by the pharmacy and this older gentleman was working stocking the shelves and I asked where the hand sanitizer was, ( little did I know he was right in front of it and I didn't notice) and he steered me clear to the other side of the store! Thank you for making sure I was getting my steps in today. As an associate and well into your adult years, I certainly expected more than to purposefully steer us in the wrong direction. Horrible experience! I will never EVER in my life step foot in this Walmart again. I didn't even make it into the store completely and I'm disgusted! It's posted online that this store closes at 10 pm. I drove across town to grocery shop here after work with my three small children. Pulled up around 7:30 (no biggie right, because they close at 10) it took me about ten minutes to get out of the car and into the parking lot to head toward the door and across the parking lot. I have a 6 year old and 4 year old who I had to ensure had on coats and masks, and an 11 month old who was sleeping and had to be put into a stroller. I started to inch my way across the parking lot snot 7:40 ish when a girl comes to the door and screams "we're closed" Now I feel myself getting hot, because in lieu of the current t pandemic I would love to have not hauled my three small children across town close to bedtime to a store that claims to stay open until 10 to turn me away at 7:40 pm! I ask why are they closing so early and the lady tells me they close at 8. Well now I'm confused because it's not 10 like the website stated and also ITS NOT 8! I state it is t 8 and she replies "we want y'all out of the store by 8" Yeah ok. It would be nice to have known that before I left Detroit to travel to freaking Livonia for this non sense. This store is getting worse everyday, shopping online I thought would be a joy and time saving. I was wrong, it has it hiccups as well. They say products that you ordered is not in so they substitute, but if you go to store it's there, why is that? Also, an order was placed to be delivered today by 9:45 pm or so, my daughter never got her order, when she called driver, he told her he never got around to it, and to call the store. The Walmart store store app said, delivered yet the delivery man said no it wasn't....she finally called the store, the only advice they could give was to give it 24 hours for it to be delivered. This Walmart is horrible. For starters, empty shelves, low stock. Messy. No cleanliness. No sanitation wipes for carts for Covid. Store pickup was delayed. Received notification next day that is was delayed so I canceled and have to wait up to 7 days for funds to be released by bank after Walmart put a hold on card for the order total that was never prepared..... Went inside store around 6pm and checked out at 7:33pm EST. The cashier was an AA elderly lady with grey curly hair. She was moving extremely slow that was holding up a really long line but I'm not complaining about her because she was moving so slow that it was alarming as if something might have been physically wrong and I was concerned. I asked if she was ok. She did not respond. I noticed that she gave me back too much change and she was out of Pennies as well. I gave her all the pennies in my wallet and sat them aside for her to help. The manager (male) was at the very next register helping another younger cashier. I approached him and asked if he was the manager. He confirmed and I brought to his attention that my cashier needed help and I was concerned if she was ok and she was out of pennies. By that time the line filled up to at least 10 frustrated customers behind me. This was the speedy checkout line 20items or less. All the manager stated was "ok thank you" and continued walking towards the opposite registers. I was really saddened and concerned about the lady's well being so I called customer service and that didn't seem helpful at all either. They mentioned they will inform the proper department but never asked the date/time of the transaction, transaction number, cashier info or anything that may be helpful listed on the receipt. I really hope the lady was ok. I won't ever shop at that location again. This was not only neglect of the employees, but the customers who were impatiently waiting in line for a long time and affecting the business. Horrible. read more

I had to pick up an online order from here and they were one of the only locations that had it in stock same day. Attempted to do curbside pickup for last night. No one answered the phone after trying twice to call I decided to leave the store as over 1/2 hour had transpired. I called this morning to cancel the order and no one answered in the pickup department after trying 5 times (going through the operator 3 times). Last week I was visiting the southfield area and I always try to find a local Walmart just in case I need something. I was surprised that when I googled around my hotel this was the closest one. So we drove about 16 or 17 minutes to Livonia. The directions took us to a huge closed Sears building. i was like wtf?. Luckily we happened to see a car going the same way, and followed it and it took us around the Sears building through the middle and then there was Walmart. It did look like it was a newer Walmart from the outside and it seemed to be just fine on the inside. I liked the wider aisles. Since This was a random trip to the area I doubt I would ever be at this Walmart again so I can only give it the average rating of 3/5 based on cleanliness and the few employees we observed. read more

Store is absolute garbage. It is a mess, some shelves are overflowing, others are completely empty. I came into the store looking for something specific that I found online. Every worker that I showed it to, referred me to someone else. They refused to look in their system to see if they have the product in stock in their store. When I did finally find a couple other items that I needed, and went to check out, the line was superlong. That was followed up buy there greeter, wanted to check my receipt to make sure that I wasn't stealing, even though he sat and watched me check out. And I only purchased a couple items. Never been asked to see a receipt when leaving the Walmart, unless I had a large electronic item that wasn't in a bag. They might as well close this store. read more
