Block party stuff & a couple essentials
Barrett O.

Okay, my last review was a 1 star because of the absence of checkout clerks and all the broken self-service ones. But I'm bumping this, mylcal, Walmart up to a 3. Why? Because au have given their order online and pickup service and it is fantastic!! I don't know about other locations, because I've never tried it anywhere else, but these guys really have their act together. I simply shop on the the well done Walmart app, pay, and schedule a time to pick it up and boom. In a matter of minutes my completed order is placed in my car and I'm on my way, easy peasy. There's no fees or up charges and the super friendly people who load up my order can't even accept a tip. Deborah you are a joy by the way. Bottom line: The folks who pick the items, fulfilling the orders, and especially those who bring them out and put them in my vehicle are outstanding! Recommended!

Every time shopping here, people are always questioning. Am I saving money and truly living better & do they have low prices always. Customers usually find it pretty debatable between one register being open & there are lines longer than the DMV's with the wait time to boot. Some customers out there also question do they live up to their core values of excellence & do they deliver good service to the customer while respecting them & acting with integrity. It's fairly common, but I can't speak for the locations I've never patronized.     Coming here throughout the years for groceries or picking up products for various needs. Wal-Mart seems pretty handy as they've carried a decent selection for what I'm looking for. There'll be times when I have to go to another location (god forbid) or an actual hardware automotive or sporting stores for my needs. I would expect it all, but sadly not. The only thing that incentivizes me to come here is saving a dollar or 2 here & there. If they had the same prices as competitors on half the stuff here, I'd never come to this den of low price misery.      The store is ok & seems to be maintained well as I didn't see any problems with the floors furnishings or anything filthy for that matter. Their staff is satisfactory (like a 1/4th of wall worlds) & makes an effort to be as helpful as they can when asking about where a product is located. Just like every other Wal-Mart, they tend to only keep one lane open towards 9:30pm & it tends to be crowded & backed up for the rest of the night. If it wasn't for the fact that this Wal-Mart is only a mile from my house & has my favourite gas station (which I love) located here I could say that this Wal-Mart could remain hidden & I can just continue to drive to Foley. Feel free to stay the same or change to aspire. Go downhill & I'm going to the South McKenzie store Foley.            Be sure to like on FB & tell a friend. Recipe for a blown engine
Kevin H.

In the past I've been very critical of the store and in general terms I still find it substandard in many ways. That said there are parts of it that are a stand out. And in particular the oil change group and specifically last night Jonathan and Jacob. I had put the court and a half of oil into my vehicle in the last day and I knew something was wrong so I quickly stopped about 6:35p to ask if they could see what the issue was as I felt it might be a loose oil filter or a bad CON and oil filter. Knowing that they were scheduled to go home very shortly I hesitated to ask but I had to. They happily agreed to take a look discovered that the people who change the all the previous time had forgotten to take the seal from the old oil filter off. They then tried to screw it on top of it. That of course is a recipe for disaster and my 6+ quart oil requirement and that engine was down to about 3 quarts and I had just put a quart and a half into it less than 15 minutes prior. Thankfully Jonathan and Jacob agreed to take care of it or I probably would've washed that engine completely on the way home. So in fairness well I'm not a fan of the major part of the store I am a major fan of their auto group.

It's a Walmart. We forgot a suitcase on our vacation so we needed a few items cheap! And quickly. Walmart made it happen.

Absolutely not. They never restock, the pickup is always an hour late. Would not recommend.

In…read moremy opinion one thing that separates Rouse from other grocery stores is all the fresh made foods that's available hot and ready to eat like jambalaya and other specialties and of course the fresh baked breads and rolls, who can resist? This location has a fresh sushi count that looked amazing and a great selection of fresh or steamed fish and seafood. I love walking down the aisles to see all the things you'd never find in most grocery stores, the staff here is very welcoming and outgoing and always ready to help direct you to anything you need. I just heard Rouse purchased (10) more Winn Dixie locations that they plan to renovate and rebrand them under the Rouse name, unfortunately none close to my home but it's great news for their Louisiana and Mississippi loyal customers. If you've never entered a Rouse Market you definitely need to check them out...

They have a seafood dept that has a variety to choose from, mostly known for their boiled shrimp and crawfish~Cajun style. We like the seafood dips they have, especially the smoked tuna a dip. They have the best key lime pie in town. So, I usually have one of those in my freezer. Oh, they have a big area for alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. You name it, Rouse's probably has it. Rouse's is more convenient to the beach than other grocery stores, but it may be a little pricier. You have to weigh the pros and the cons, like all other places. I really like my local Publix, and actually created its Yelp page with a glowing review. It's…read morestill a great shop for groceries, meats, and especially the bakery. They will bake up sugar-free items or other requests every day if you just call them in the early morning, that's a service not available at most grocers. But, I'm writing the review to talk about their custom sandwiches that we really love. First off, they use Boars Head meats, which are great, but there's a store brand option. Boars Head has long been my choice for grocery and gourmet deli meat because their a 5th generation US company that makes good tasting stuff with lots of options. (review for this company is in my drafts :-) Secondly the Finally the outstanding app that lets you custom half or full sub on white, whole grain or on flat bread either cold, pressed or toasted with a choice of 7 cheeses, 20 toppings or extras and 9 sauces. You can also make it a combo with a big selection of chips and drinks and here's a cool convenient feature, build it, pay for it, choose the time (usually with 30-45 minutes), then just walk over to the deli, pick it up and you're in and out on your way. You can choose to pay for it at the store but then you have to fac lines and time, whatever works. Of course you can also have them make one or more of these sandwich treats while you're in the store. (I have done that before and they made my sandwich while I showed, cool!) My favorite is "The Ultimate" and my sweetheart's is the low sodium "Turkey". Bottom line: If you have doubts go to one of their south Florida during lunchtime and you will find locals dutifully waiting in line for one of their freshly made Boars Head subs. Try it, you might just find your new fave sandwich. Did I mention you can add bacon? LOL

I was on the hunt for a decent pack of sardines. We just came from Baton Rouge and we are using to having Whole Foods etc. it is a small store but they do have some good products. My daughter and husband got the fruit shaped ice cream. I did find some sardines / not the brands I was hoping for but definitely better than what's around. I was going to get a bottle of wine. However I did notice a wine I normally get is 14/15 dollars and they market it up to 26.77 there- and it's the same bottle. In my mind that's too big of a market up. I ended up going to isla wine instead which is a boutique wine store and their mark up is only 1-2$ more than the general price. This store also has caviar which I'd love to buy but now I do feel like I have to make sure I'm not getting ripped off.
