Being a 4 stars and above kinda woman, if I would have reviewed the previous stars from the first post, I most likely wouldn't have visited. With that being said, I can agree with a few of the things Mr. Adrian mentioned in his post. So here's my perspective. Working in downtown Griffin, I pass this store daily. There are not many stores I pass, where I can view their articles and say to myself, wow, that would look good on me. First and foremost, I love this downtown village area. It's very eclectic and many shops have good finds--so don't sleep on Downtown Griffin. The Dollhouse is boutique house in an old historical building and it is obvious by some of the architecture like embossed ceilings and old carpet. It is spacious but not cluttered or over stocked with clothing. It's cute and could use some updating to the flooring and other fixtures as profits roll in. Nothing turned me away. The dressing rooms are not 5 star by any means okay, so don't expect Hollywood glam! They reminded me of some old church room in the back of an old brick and mortar pentecostal church, where you would go before baptism and change into your baptismal robe. I swear internally I was humming, "Take me to the water". I think I've grown up around too many storefront churches. I digress!! I think that the type of clothing that is purchased is not for everyone like Mr. Adrian stated; however, I think there is something for everyone, whether it be a purse, shoes, jewelry, scarf, jacket, etc. I will also say, if you have curves and are looking for pieces that flatter your body, allow you to be sexy but still maintain some class and keep it somewhat conservative, you will definitely be pleased. Also, the pricing is good. Not your typical boutique prices. Things I purchased ranged from $22-80. Not too shabby for something you won't find on everyone walking down the street. This is why I love boutiques. Onto the clothing... Everything I tried on accentuated my body in the right areas while offering forgiveness in other areas. My stomach is my most troubling area. I'm not a plus size woman per se but I am petite, vacillate between a size 10-12 depending on the day. Today, felt like a size 12 day and typically, I would feel a bit too plump and bloated for my liking to even try on some clothes. Everything fit great and felt great. There were about 3 other women in the store and after I would try on something and come outside of the dressing room to see myself in the big mirror, their support was so uplifting. Payment Process: Streamline. I think she uses Clover or Square. It was really simple. Parking: Street parking via parallel, designated parking spots or parking at further distances and walking. I parked in a lot off of Taylor Street and walked a block up. It was a beautiful day and a nice walk. No complaints. Bottom Line: This store has very unique clothing, that you won't see on everyone, are flattering to curvy women and have a decent price point. I would definitely recommend you visit. They will pull the metal doors down 30 min before they close and not let anyone in and if you are in there they will announce theyre closing every 5 min for 45 min.
