Who doesn't love Walmart?? This particular location is a good one. They are always stocked with any and everything that you may need. The store is always clean. And everyone who works there is very friendly. I do enjoy visiting this Walmart location when I'm in Mattoon. read more

Hey, it's a Walmart, what do you really expect? They have all the stuff that you'd expect a Walmart to have. Their food section is a bit hectic and confusing because some stuff is marked "seasonal" even though they're just Cheetos or something. Asking isn't always helpful because people don't seem to know where anything is. Prices are right and they really have everything. There's even a separate liquor section that's not big but it has pretty standard American beer and normal liquor. The checkout process is pretty infuriating but if you can get into a self checkout you'll be better off. I was honestly shocked at how slow my checkout person was and just how long it took for everything to get scanned and bagged. I've worked in a grocery store before and I really couldn't even comprehend what was happening with her while she was doing her job. It was mind-boggling. Just go to the self-checkout and you'll be out much quicker than if you try to interact with a human. read more

No stars at all, traveling in our rv trying to get back home to Michigan and they would not let us spend the night in their parking lot. I talked to an assistant manager & he said corporate has not changed the rules for this store, even in a time like this with the virus everywhere. Campgrounds are closed, truck stops and rest areas need their spaces for the truckers(bless them all) so where does that leave us. We have never been denied a overnight stay at any Wal-Mart in many states until today. Believe me, I prefer a campground. The assistant manager told me there was a stay home notice! That is not what I want to hear from anyone! Just wanted a safe place to sleep for the night. We are totally self contained and never bother anyone. Very poor PR and will never shop at Walmart again read more

Neat and clean, well stocked Walmart great for picking up something you have forgotten on a road trip but you won't see it from the road when you get off the highway. The staff was very visible and very friendly. The ladies room was neat and well taken care of. Quick transaction at register with delightful employee, wish I had gotten her name. read more

I don't know if Walmart is just fundamentally different in California versus Illinois, but I was so impressed by this Walmart. The products were on the shelves, the displays were clean and organized, and the people working there were cheerful and happy to help. Great stock of holiday stuff, and great photo section. And it's open 24 hours a day! You can't beat that! read more

Pretty good. They do have some commercial truck parking, so you can shop. BUT, no overnight parking.

Usually understaffed and almost always out of what we are looking for. Long waits in line to check out. Hard to find help when you need it

As far as Walmarts go, this is the largest one I've ever been in. The extra space is great for moving up and down the aisles without getting in the way of other shoppers. From a first look, the store appears to be very clean and kept up nicely. I found it highly unusual though that they had a liquor store section at the front it the store, near the restrooms and guest service desk... perhaps a state standard? It was the first time I'd seen that in any Walmart in any state. There's also ample truck parking for the many semi drivers getting off the intersecting Interstates. read more

I just got an all change August 2! There's a whole lot of OIL residue on my seat in my console! I went in and told the person working the counter about it and then ask if the tech wiped the seat off! Well he did but oil is a petroleum product so you really need to type of cleaner! His pants were also sagging down like a hoodlum! Pisses me off you pay $54 for an oil change and sit in a greasy seat! They didn't offer a discount or anything !!!!No more auto work here!!!! read more

I was in walmart dec24th at the check out. I was buying an item and my husband was buying an item. We tried to be nice to the checkout clerk. She was not even speaking what so ever,she was very sober. I was so upset I told her she was very rude and walk out without my package. My husband thankfully picked it up when he checked out. Maybe she didn't want to be there on x-mas eve who knows. But I had to hurry and go to my job as well waiting on customers. I would never treat a customer with such disrespect. She is not a people person. She needs to stock shelves or something not involved directly with a customer. read more
