Went to Walmart in clarion last night. Our cashier was Cathy,she was not pleasant at all chewed her gum like a cow. Today I made my LAST visit to WalMart in Clarion, PA, and my $200+/week business will be given to a good customer-oriented business, and not a huge corporation that hinders good customer support actions and remedies. In total, I have had $25 taken from me because of employee inattentiveness and/or poor company policy. On 1/22/25 I used a gift certificate from a friend for a portion of my groceries. On 1/29/25 I returned one of the items. The employee asked if I wanted the money back to my credit card or on a gift certificate . . . I opted for it to go back to my card. Over the course of the next week or so I kept checking the credit card postings to see if I had received the credit, but it wasn't there. What I have learned is that when you do a return, the WalMart computer system will always (per the unsympathetic and rude employee that I was seeking help from) put the money back on the gift card. The problem is that I, and most gift certificate recipients, throw the gift card away once the funds have been spent. You don't know you'll be returning something, and even if you did know, that would not normally be cause for worry. They tell me there is nothing they can do about it! WalMart MUST train their employees to LOOK AT the receipts for this type of issue! They can easily see there was more than one credit card, and then simply ask the customer which card they would like for the refund to be applied. All they say there is nothing that can be done about it, and when I asked them to please get WalMart to do something about correcting this problem, they simply shut you down...no further consideration is given or even attempted! This is completely unacceptable, and I choose to no longer do business with a company that knows there is a recurring issue, but chooses not to address it . . . after all, they're not out anything because of their incompetence! read more

Stopped at the Super Walmart in Clarion on our way west. The associate inside was very nice to us when we asked if we could park our motorhome overnight. She pointed us to a far corner of the lot and we were all set. Picked up a few needed essentials, locked the RV, and headed to Applebees across the street for dinner. Nice easy on and off the highway and plenty of food in the area. Thank you Walmart. read more

OMG! I wouldn't normally review a Wal-Mart because well, it's Wal-Mart and they're all a little creepy and weird. HOWEVER, I was driving across the country with my friend when we decided to stop at Wal-Mart for a bit to get a break from the road and piddle. OH. GOOD. NIGHT! The just barely hour and a half I spent in this Wal-Mart will be an hour and a half I'll never forget! If you're looking to play the 'people of Wal-Mart' game, look no further. On every isle, and around every corner, some Clarion Pennsylvanian will give you the aesthetic joy you so deserve. Are you an avid animal killer? WELL, their hunting section is to DIE for! Yup, I'd like to think so too. However, the man in that blog thread seems real excited about his purchase - which I assume he bought at a local Wal-Mart. They also sell jackets with fake leaves, clip-on plastic hunting doves, camo overalls, ammunition, guns, and many other fine hunting items. Still not satisfied that this Wal-Mart is worth a trip across the country for? Did you know they sell Hannah Montana Silly Bands? They also carry a wide array of sequined purses, wallets, scarves, and hats; as well as decent selection of those t-shirts that say "Diva", "Princess" and "Talk to the hand!" - just to name a few. They're also a Supercenter. So it's a one-stop-shop! Get your baby food, dog food, Remington Butt Out, and "I'm a Toothless Country Bumpkin Princess" sequined tie-dyed t-shirt! I mean, if that's not enough, I don't know what to tell you. You're probably one of those people who's not easily pleased. Well, that just sucks for you! read more

I went to the Clarion PA Walmart today and while you must have a mask on to enter the store I would estimate 20% of the customers took their masks off while in the store. I was there for 30 minutes I I I never saw anyone approach these non mask wearers and ask them to put the mask on or leave. I won't be returning to this Walmart until they enforce their company's mask policy. read more

Holy Pete, Was traveling on I-80 on the way back to DuBois PA when the front tire separated on my daughters Toyota. I knew there was a Wal-Mart at Clarion exit and the tire was bad I mean dangerous bad huge lumps swelling up in the tread. Pulled in walked up to the counter and got a super deal was told there was only one car in front of me and it was almost done. Super right $120 bucks for two tires for my daughters car that I will never get paid back for, Hey that's O.K. better than dyeing on the 60 plus mile trip to DuBois. Well they have a window where you can see out into the garage and all the cars left the bays except one that was having the oil changed and apparently Chevy S-10 trucks have so sort of experimental hy-byrd engines in them now. because it took all five mechanics to get the oil change started one underneath and four standing around staring into the engine compartment. finally they sent the youngest kid out to get the little car about the age of Opie Taylor and it took three of them awhile to get it right on the lift. Tire changing is underway until I see the entire force of techs inspecting the left front fender. I knew what they were looking at because the car had been to an inspection station the day before and they showed me that the top coil had broken off the spring, It was no big deal except that it is a hard to find part and had to be ordered for next Wednesday. The broken piece of coil was small and safely wrapped around the strut no possible way it could move. But instead of my new tires being installed I am watching in ahw as my car is pulled back out. I see the guy coming that has been clowning around the garage for the last hour coming out and he tells me "sorry we can not put a tire on your car" My answer being why the hell not so I get "it has a broken spring" well I already knew that. So I am left with a tire on a car that is ready to explode with a 60 plus mile drive ahead of me because this lazy SOB thinks this is the safe thing to do. So what am I left with just saw a mechanic yesterday car will be fine till next week when the spring comes in so I am forced to use the flimsy screw jack to switch the bad tire to the rear were at least when it blows I cam maintain some control, Off we go made it back to DuBois with a bit of a headache from bouncing down the road with the pear shaped tire and pulled into Sears be right with you same cheap tires be about half a hour. Then tech comes in and tells me "I have a broken spring but it cant be had until next week" I already know, then he suggests that I change the struts and springs on both sides. Already have a guy on it "ok your tires will be done in a few minutes and I can't believe you made it in here on a tire that bad" I guess the moral of this story is if you want cheap tires and want to find a tech that does not think it safe to send someone down the interstate highway with a tire that looks like it has tennis balls under the tread then save your time and go to Sears. read more

There is something to say about small town and their stores. Clean and laid back all while being polite.

This is by far the WORST Walmart that I have ever been to. I absolutely hate going to this store, but it is just about the only place to go in Clarion. They never have enough cashiers working so you always have to wait in a long line. I always have problems at the self checkout, and then I have to wait forever to get assistance. Employees are rude. Make sure you give the cashiers all of your coupons before they start scanning items because they will make you dig through all of the bagged stuff in your cart to make sure it matches what is on the coupon. Some of them do this for every coupon and wait until after they scanned and bagged everything and you have it all loaded into the cart. Then they send you on a scavenger hunt to find specific items. The prices listed on the shelves don't always match what they charge you so pay attention. The produce section smells like rotting food. It is not unusual to see bare shelves and poor selection at this store. They hardly ever carry the products that match penny saver coupons. read more

I am HIGHLY OFFENDED by the last review. I lived in the Clarion area for 26 years of my life and took great offense to this terrible review just given. Clarion PA is a very down to earth country town full of wonderful people and of course, questionable ones as well (as in every town). I myself do not purchase clothing from Walmart (maybe hats or scarves), but for others, it is all they can afford and I'm sure they are very grateful. As for the hunting department, hunting is cherished by many people in many areas. I have been to at least a dozen Walmart stores in western PA and southern NY to find the same departments. There is nothing wrong with an American past time such as hunting. Most of the men in my family hunt, their fathers, and father's fathers hunted. I'm just curious as to if Walmart stores in other discriminating areas sell air fresheners seeing as to how they feel something of theirs doesn't stink. I have shopped at the Clarion Walmart for years and it is always clean and the people are always friendly. I can not say the same about Walmart stores I've been to in larger metropolis areas. read more
