Now each year when we come to the area, I make sure to get in a trip to Beall's at least once to peruse and shop. Beall's is located right in town in Chiefland, at the end of a strip mall. It shares a parking lot with the other businesses in the strip, but there are always spots available. We visited on a Saturday morning this past July, and had no trouble finding somewhere to park. I have personally never visited this store when there was an overwhelming crowd, but there are usually at least a few others shopping at any given time. It is really the only department-esque store in the town, so I would imagine a lot of locals come here to do their shopping for clothing and home items if they do not want to drive to a more major city. If you have never been to Beall's, I would describe it as a mix between a Burlington Coat Factory/TJ Maxx/Kohl's. They have a healthy selection of clothes for all (men, women, children), home decor, accessories, house supplies, gifts, and more. It is definitely a store you can spend some time in just looking around at all of the different selection and variety of items. It also seems like the inventory rotates, so you never quite know what you will find, which is part of the fun! The prices and value here are fair. I would compare it to that of a TJ Maxx in this regard. It is considered an outlet, so presumably they will have brands at slightly lower prices than you may find in a department store. Anytime I have visited this location, the staff have been friendly and helpful. I have never had bad service, nor have I personally ever heard of anyone else having bad service here, either! I am glad that this store exists in Chiefland. As stated, there is not really another store like it in the town or general area, so it is great for those who do not want to drive a significant distance for a new outfit or something for their home. They always have a healthy selection and variety, along with great service. I will definitely be back the next time I find myself in the Chiefland area!

They claim it is computer issues, but this has happened the last four times I have picked up groceries. I work in town and live an hour away and so in the beginning, it was a great idea to be able to pick up my groceries and head home. I feel very sorry for the ones who put your groceries in the car. It is not their fault. They need to get their crap together here in Perry or not offer this service anymore. I'm really disgusted along with others who aren't voicing a review.

You can get many comparable and exact same items elsewhere for much cheaper. Shoes? Very well priced especially for their sale racks. Handbags? Some cute some very well priced and some in the stratosphere. Dillards actually caries real Luis Vuitton handbags and luggage but.... I am not an LV consumer. Clothes... great when there are sales. You have to watch for deals, coupons and price slashing before during and after holidays. I was just recently very successful with the purchase of a makeup bag that is perfect for my trip coming up. Normally I wouldn't pay $48.00 actually $52.00 for a makeup bag but I believe I will keep this one for quite some time. The lady that helped me in the cosmetics section kept me in her "sights" while I was shopping around the entire store... she didn't want to miss getting credit for my purchase. Anchor stores are Belk and JC Penney ( not my type of stores ). The only stores I found interest in were journeys, Victoria secret and H&M . This is definitely not my type of mall as I like more luxury stores and a good GAP and bath and body works. I guess it caters to the local college kids which makes sense.

There are a few known anchor stores and some of the normal smaller chains too inclusive of a Starbucks allowing for a good mixed selection of stores. The prices and value of offerings were inline with what would be expected at a mall. Being flanked by UF and SF I am sure it gets really busy from Aug to May. The service offered by everyone I came in contact with was fair to good.

Unfortunately many of aisles we low stocked due to hurricane preparation but we did get many other items. When we went back outside the store we noticed several other RVs parked in the far side of the parking lot and decided to spend the night there safe from the storm. Being that others were parked there and not blocking any business traffic we didn't ask permission which we usually do just to be courteous. I would like to thank Walmart for being a great company not only for their low prices and having items needed in emergency situations but allowing folks like us fleeing their homes in potentially deadly situations like a Cat 4 hurricanes. Also I would like to suggest to other campers that use a business parking lot pick up your trash and other trash that others left behind. Make some purchase s at the business they are saving you $50+ in RV park fees and maybe push a few baskets back into the store.

We went to the Primo Water Filter station to fill up her water jugs and did not realize how inexpensive it is, only 29¢ a gallon! No wonder she has a water station at her house! It is a great deal! Of course, the produce selection is always amazing and fresh at Walmart. Walmart has never disappointed me in their grocery department, as well as other areas in the store. The staff are on top of everything and willing to assist you with anything and everything you need in the store. I was disappointed that there was no greeter in the front of the store to greet us as we walked into the store. Since that is what Walmart is known for, I was expecting to be greeted by someone when I walked into the store, but no such luck. It is not a big deal to me, but something the management should look into going forward. Other than that, this Walmart is wonderful for Macclenny, FL and the residents are lucky to have this store in town.
