But she was the most rude employee I have ever seen and witnessed. They are so rude to the other workers there and I'm surprised how management hasn't caught on or something or what. Which I'm sure she does not wanna be treated the way she was treating the other employees in the back. I really feel bad for all the ones that work with her. And what I witnessed at this particular location proves my point exactly. The outside of the facility looks a little worn down, but that doesn't have anything to do with the business itself it has to do with the location of where it's at. It's sort of a strip mall that has several other businesses within it, so they look just as rundown as the Family Dollar itself. But once you get inside, it's like a whole new world. The Isles are fully stocked, and you can actually walk through the aisles. No items sitting on the floor, floors are clean and swept. Shelves are neat. I took a while to just be mesmerized with how clean and neat everything looked. The staff were friendly and kind, so much so that I had to compliment them on how clean they keep their store and how well they treat their customers. My only regret is that I wish I lived in Chanute so that I can shop there all the time. If you're ever in the mood for shopping and you're in Chanute, kansas... stop into their Family Dollar. Washington Park Mall is known around the world (or at least in the areas around northeast Oklahoma) as home to the Gap Outlet - which is pretty spiffy for such a small mall. The remainder of the mall's stores that I visited (American Eagle, Famous Footwear, etc.) look and feel like pretty much any other mall. (For whatever reason, many DID have really good sales the day I was there.) It has a tiny food court but has actual restaurants (Billy Sims' Barbecue, Buffalo Wild Wings) and a movie theater. If in Bartlesville, it's worth hitting up, but probably not worth the drive from out of town.

Medicap Pharmacy in Chanute, Kansas, blew me away with their high level of customer service to a stranger. I was visiting a friend here and she developed the flu. Her mother also had a virus and I was concerned about my own respiratory status. Medicap took care of all our needs; but especially me. Their care of me took place over several days and on several fronts. They were proactive; calling my insurance company and my doctor's office in Texas and obtaining difficult refills. They called ME more than once to let me know what was and what was not happening with my needs and concerns. I was very impressed. Thank you to Eric the pharmacist, Crystal the pharmacy tech and everyone who contributed to the speed, efficiency and concern with which my needs were handled. All in freezing weather that brought snow to the city and cancelled school and other events! Five stars!
