Pic N Sav - Pineapple bin inside Pic'N'Save

Review of Pic'N'Save - Brewton…read more I had a frustrating experience at Pic'N'Save yesterday. I picked up a pineapple clearly labeled $2.15 in the produce section, but at checkout, I was charged $3.83. When I pointed out the sign, the manager told me the sale price didn't start until tomorrow -- even though nothing on the label indicated that. (Please see photo below). After I showed him a photo of the sign, he admitted it didn't mention a date but still claimed it wasn't false advertising. He did eventually offer the lower price, but only after I insisted. It shouldn't be this difficult to pay the advertised price. If signs aren't accurate or up to date, it's misleading -- and it makes me question whether I'm being overcharged on other items too. I left the store feeling frustrated and disappointed. Now I don't even care to go back there.

Employees that come to work inebriated carrying water bottles with vodka and horribly underage to be drinking anywhere. But that's of no concern to management. They could really care less. Employees have been caught on property with narcotics nothing has been done to them their mother fired them from the job not the supervisors apparent had to fire this person from their job. Not for the narcotics mind you but for not following the house rules. As far as no dating anybody that works with you on the job that isn't followed by many at all. Several workers including assistant store managers and managers are dating people that work there a clear violation of company policy and conflict of interest. I have personally seen a cashier twerking to get a tip from a customer. She reeked of vodka and could care less if anyone knew. And I can understand why with management like this it's a wonder it's not an all-out party every day in there. With a deli now has well prepared food and a manager did at least gives it her all with whatever task she has. Her crew being a small one at that does do their due diligence to keep that Deli up to snuff. With a few hiccups here and there that any Dilly has especially on Sunday when I was last there they do their very best to hold the tide against the onslaught of churchgoers that after leaving the house of God come to the deli to yell at people I've always found that hilarious. But they try their best not to let them bother them as they fill countless endless heaping orders of chicken the likes of which after standing there for 20 minutes I had to get to see in most stores the other selection throughout the store are either outdated due to lack of training for young individuals stalking the shelves or because of the rat urine and feces on the items. These items that are contaminated aren't thrown away they're wiped off and put back on the shelf because this company doesn't want to lose profit . Now I do know they did call in an exterminator to take care of the rodents. But it's not working. They have been there so long they have literally set up a colony inside that stores infrastructure it would take shutting the store down gutting it remodeling it correctly and killing this nest where it lives and I had attempted to bring these concerns to the attention of the corporate but they chose to not do what was necessary to fix this issue. instead it's easier to ignore a problem than to fix it. Plausible deniability is a big thing with corporations. But I'm really hoping that somebody from this company notices this review and pays attention. I do not take my job as a reviewer lightly I am blunt with what I say. But I am truthful I do not hold hands cuddle or give you a safe space when it comes to reviews I tell you like it is. In saying that if you are going to shop here stay away from anything that's in a paper box without some type of plastic bag on the inside holding your content safe from contamination. Thoroughly wipe down any of all products you purchase from here that aren't in the freezer. And check everything for urine feces or holes in it from the rats chewing through the containers. If you take these precautions you'll be fine but the chance for contamination due to her feces and or urine is still there. As far as prices are concerned they are not the lowest in town. The 10% markup they give you on the products in the store and the 10% tax from the state of Alabama raise this source prices in equal to Piggly wiggly. It would be a lot cheaper to drive down the road to go to Walmart and pay a lot cheaper for products. Next time you go there buy something that says new low price look at the price when you pay goes up 20%. That's not a discount that is not a deal that is misleading.

The supermarket could definitely use a face-lift, but ambiance is not the focus on this grocery chain. Be advised that I believe that the prices posted reflect the supposed prices that the supermarket pays and then they add ten percent. I believe that they had my water listed at three dollars and something like fifty cents and when they rang me up, it came to over four dollars. The supermarket states that they charge ten percent above so cost so that is the only way that i could figure that it was so much higher. Still, not a bad deal and I do not know how many other supermarket options are in this small town. I guess ultimately I will give it four stars for my overall rating. I would not probably be here much if there were other options, but this might be the only supermarket in town.
