Good place for western wear. Their prices are a little on the high side but what they don't advertise is they have a huge sale for the month of February normally for most everything in store. We would come through after hunting near Ramer and on the on the way to the the Florida panhandle. Sales people mostly older folks are very helpful. Ive bought large-tall button down shirts that are hard to find and some outer wear coats although selection may be picked over. Footwear which they advertise from the road is decent, definitely wait for the big sale. Just be careful if the return policy. read more

This store isn't handicapped friendly If you're in a wheelchair, use a walker or a rolator you can forget about getting off the second level of the store. All levels and departments are stairs only. DONT SHOP HERE!! Owner is disgustingly rude. He is constantly screaming at his employees and treats them like absolute shit. Just ask the old man that walks around on the cane. Who has fallen twice without him helping with any of his medical bills or any compensation at all. Also this poor old man has to clean all the bathrooms, fill up peoples car with gas, fix people's cars, take out all trash, shine the owners shoe, and so much more while on a CANE. Prices are on the higher side, so if you're looking for a bargain keep driving. Nice selection of boots for men for work, casual, or stepping out. Women's shoe section was filled with all sorts of sandals, sneakers and boots with above average pricing. Didn't look at men's clothing nor bother to go upstairs to check out the Women's clothing since we needed to get back on the road. The younger people in the store were friendlier than those who've likely worked there forever. I felt like we were being constantly watched by the older ladies standing behind the mid-level counter, but I said nothing about it to my husband since he was busy trying on work boots. After finding what he wanted, we went to the mid-level counter to pay (as we'd done before last year) and a older lady drily told my husband to pay down front. Totally rude & unfriendly! I was turned off and in my mind decided that this would be my last visit to Sikes & Kohn. They really need to train all of their staff in providing good customer service & not automatically suspecting customers of having bad motives. We spent a good bit of money there, but it will likely be the last as far as I'm concerned. We can definitely find better prices & customer service elsewhere. read more

A must stop if you're passing through or worth a road trip if you live as far as I do. They have a great selection of clothing, shoes, boots and jackets. They have some good name brand items. Today I got a pair of KUHL Ryder pants for 48$, that's about half the price you can find them anywhere else. Their boot selection is the best I've seen anywhere, they carry cowboy boots, work boots, hiking, just about everything. I highly recommend stopping by this place and doing some shopping! read more

Same for SPerry, Rockports, Northface, and so much much. This store has long been known for their huge inventory which includes several major brand names and an abundant selection. They have never been known for low prices, but they are reasonable. Not bargains, but reasonable. In times past, anyone entering the store received a friendly greeting, and was made to feel welcome. It was an exciting place to shop. Sadly, such is NOT the case today. After finding the specific item I was after I paid and left without shopping any further. I have shopped in a number of foreign countries and been made to feel much more welcome than at Sikes & Kohn's. No smiles. When asked, staff willingly walked me down the aisles to the desired department, then returned to their strategic observation post. The cashier was unwelcoming, unsmiling and slow to even acknowledge me. There was no "thank you", "we appreciate your business", "come back to see us" - NOTHING! Everyone looked as if they had just been told that tomorrow would be their last day. And that message might very well be just around the corner if they don't learn how to treat the people who bring them money. read more

Don't be fooled, this is definitely NOT a discount mall! We found the prices to be at or above retail big mall numbers. I actually have purchased the identical men's Levi jeans in Macy's for much less money. Looked at some Carhartt shirts, when I got home bought the same identical shirt for exactly 1/2 their price. I grew up shopping for back to school clothes and shoes at Sikes and Kohn. My family would stop on our way back from PCB. I was so excited to stop this year to shop for my almost 2 year old and was shocked to say the least. The prices are now higher and no different than a department store. They used to have a great selection at a discounted price. I actually bought Birkenstocks recently cheaper at Journey's! Also, the staff. We got stared down as if we were going to steal while not a single soul spoke to us. Not a great way to do business if you ask me! I live right down the road and have been to this store twice that I remember. Once I was looking at boots and kept noticing different employees looking around corners at me from behind. I kept hoping one of them was going to ask if I needed some help but as soon as I looked at them they tried to hide and act like they weren't looking. I don't like to feel like a place is treating me like a thief. My grandmother feels about the same. Not to mention I stopped in another time to borrow the latrine during a stop to Hamburger King and being friendly said "Good Morning" or whatever it was to the person behind the counter, she looked right at me, heard me, said absolutely nothing. Don't get me wrong, I'm nobody special. In the Army we learned to be courteous and say a greeting when passing someone and that stuck with me when I got out. I forgot what it is like when people don't return a courtesy. So I now go to Don Walkers in Troy. Better customer service and prices there. I am extremely hard to fit being a obese dumpy guy with short legs. This place carries overalls in my size and they go all the way to a 64 by 30. There aren't many people that cannot be fitted here. Their deals are exquisite and you can get sunglasses, t-shirts, shoes, shorts, overalls, Carhartt and Liberty..... I would say anything you want that has to do with clothing or accessories. This place is fun for the whole family and a real money saver. You can find deals here that you can't get anywhere else. I am a very satified customer. TERRIBLE customer service from owners to retail employees. Employees are rude on the phone and in person. When providing feedback to the owner he became condescending. They obviously don't value people, just the dollar. We used to drive from Montgomery there fairly often to spend good money, but always left frustrated because of how rude the employees are...NO LONGER, the poor attitudes of the owners have now freed us of the frustration! Never shopping there again! Just to be completely fair, pricing on the inventory this store carries is good. This place is amazing! I almost passed on stopping due to the negative reviews. So glad I didn't! The deals are okay on some things and outstanding on others. Popular Birkenstocks are $80 when they retail for $100-$125 in normal stores. My husband got a pair of popular nikes in a very hard to find size, for $50 that would normally cost us $100+. Men's Columbia polo's and button downs are a still at $29-$39. I didn't make it to the women's clothing. Women's chaco's averages $90. The sales people were SO friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to ask if we needed help. Very crowded, but selections are displayed well and easily accessed. A new must stop for us! read more

I have visited here for years-and for years now, they always treat me (and family) as if fixing to steal. I do purchase footwear sometimes here-when I am desperate (never have much clothing variety, sizes, etc). I don't understand why they have to act like every single person that walks in the store is going to grab everything (or shoplift?) and run out the door. They follow you everywhere, and only a couple of times have they ever asked if they could help-just watching all the time. And the old ladies at the register could care less if you bought anything-not a hello, find what you need, etc. just act like you are a nuisance because they actually had to ring your items up. I had heard about this place from several tourist as I am in the tourism business ,so I decided to visit. I saw the signs on several billboards that their merchandise was 20% off so I thought I would get a bargain. Well... It is a huge establishment which was great but not one employee welcomes you when you enter. I had someone follow me around, as if I was going to steal, because she did not ask me if I needed any assistance. In fact, the only person who spoke was the security guard at the cash register. Traveled to and from FL three times and finally decided to stop during my third visit to FL. I was very pleased with the large selection of brands! The prices on the shoes are expensive BUT compared to other places I've seen the same shoes in the price could be considered a steal! The ladies and children clothing are reasonably priced for the brands. Purchased a pair of Sbicca wedges for $59 and change absolutely LOVE them!!! The entire store was 20% off during my visit.
