don't buy any fried food at the deli, especially chicken. i recently bought an 8 pc chicken box and was i had. the oil smelt like it had not been changed for a long time. i bought the chicken box (8 pcs) and it had plenty of batter, skin and bone but no meat. what they had was over cooked, tough and you might get a bit of meat on each piece if you are lucky. i purchase my groceries and other items there weekly, so i am saying if they looked at the deli process and tried some of the fried foods themselves, they would change it may have a better review. i will not buy any products from the deli until something is changed! this was the east athens, ga store! read more

Their self-check out system fails to work despite numerous reports of problems. We had to triple check our items and found out many were double charged and some not at all. They were also threatening to arrest us if we didn't pay the door guard cash. read more

A lot of electronics, even basic items like phone chargers, are locked in glass cases. You have to track down an employee just to get something simple, which can be pretty inconvenient. read more

I probably shop here 2-3 times each week because it's close and had lower prices on lots of thing I buy regularly My big complaint: having to battle to get down aisles with Walmart employees. Tonight they were resetting the garden shop section with Christmas crap. On a Saturday! Every other day I have to work around employees restocking and those doing shopping for on-line customers. What ever happened with prioritizing the actual customers in the store? It's bad enough the aisles are too narrow and you have to use the giant carts if you can't get all you're buying in a hand basket. I wish this company would prioritize customers. Lots of nice employees, many are jerks. But I'm stuck going there because of the prices. read more

If i could give less than zero I would based on Walmarts Code of Conduct that emphasizes "respect, service, excellence, and integrity" as core values, requiring all associates to operate with high ethical standards, speak up when they see wrongdoing, and report any violations of company policies or laws to their manager or the Ethics & Compliance department; this includes prohibiting behaviors like harassment, discrimination, conflicts of interest, and improper use of company property. On Dec 5th, 2024, I was getting a buggy and the " assistant " i guess you call the buggy collector - his name is DAVE. at E. Athens GA Walmart was pushing in the buggies and I was right there he almost hit me with his load of buggies. I said WOAH and he just went off on me yelling at me hollering at me in the store. I'm disabled first, do they allow this type of behavior from their employees. I did just go to the manager, and I'm sure they filed the report i wrote ( probably not ) but I have sence contacted Corporate. He is rude and inconsiderate. I've not been back there either. Maybe they need to teach RESPECT if this is their so called policy, the employees need to learn it from beginning to end. It really upset me to tears and shaking. The manager I assume that is what DORIS is did all the right things but I think she was just babying me. This has got to stop!!!! I'm sure I'm not the only one they've done this too. This Walmart does not deserve a star rating! This Walmart has the most rude employees and managers. I will never ever go to any Walmart on this Earth ever again as long as I exist! Walmart pissed me off. They went up in price the black friday sale is not ok. I bought a printer during the sale. I buy a lot from Walmart due too being disabled. My family is in OR so it has been a blessing. This is the worst deception yet that I have seen from Walmart. I bought it on Friday they cancelled it on Saturday. From $69 on Friday with 1 still left to 2 on Sat at $179 a piece. They were the last company who I would of thought they would do it. read more

Just don't like all self check out if you have a lot of items . Some of the employees are very friendly.

This location is always less busy than the other locations. However it's not as nice as the other Walmart's. The clothes section was pretty under stocked. I went in to get tights and there wasn't a large selection to chose from and half the sizes were out. The self check out section though is very nice and super fast. The store isn't super clean but that's not a huge deal to me. Mostly I just wish they had more stocked. read more

This Walmart does have everything you and family members will ever need. The location is great, not far from my home and the selection of baby items is worth the trip out. We found a beautiful converting crib for a steal. It was even more beautiful once placed together. I do however have a problem with the long wait lines,..arghhh! This WalMart is very disappointing. The door greeter 'LORI' is very rude and acts like shes guarding Area51. She ALWAYS has an attitude when you come through the door. Very unprofessional and very unnecessary. I understand you hate your job and your life but dont take it out on customers that are trying to provide you a paycheck. I want to report her to her management but from what I understand this WalMart is always like this! So I am here to warn you all to save your money and your time and shop elsewhere. Their vision center is terrible. The staffs are horrible. There's this extremely lazy female optician who doesn't even attempt to try to make their customers satisfied. I ordered my glasses twice, but they didn't do a good/complete job twice. I ended up returning my glasses and getting them elsewhere. The lady even tried to convince me that the glasses were OK. Way to avoid doing more work. read more

One of the better Wally World's I've been too. It is in Athens which helps the appeal even of Wal-mart. They have a good hunting section and usually a deal on something. The same guy has been the greeter for entire college career and still is which is awesome... read more

Even with the low expectations that the Walmart chain brings, this location is beyond bad. I had to go tonight to pick up a last minute variety of things I couldn't really find anywhere else - doggy pads, curling iron, toothpaste, etc - but I had to be quick. Of course there were only 2 lines open and the wait for the line topped 20+ minutes. On the way out 2 employees stepped in front of my cart because they were too busy talking to pay attention to anything around them. I simply said 'ooops, look out! sorry!' to them and they proceeded to talk sh*t to my back. They called me a bitch out loud as I turned the corner to leave but since I had to get home to some hungry folks and pups, I just kept walking and tried to shrug it off. I visited the Walmart on Lexington Rd last night and it was terrible. The register that sales tobacco is supposed to be open 24/7 and we had one item. The girl had turned her light off and started yelling at people once she realized they werent walmart associates checking out. There was one other register open and there was about 20 people trying to check out. I won't be shopping at this store anymore if I can help it. After working in retail myself I believe this store has the worst customer service I have ever seen! read more
