There best employees are there security! They are the only employees other then a couple techs and one RN that actually have people skills one being a guy named alex great nurse and as far as security liz grasshopper and my favorite Hank he may have saved my life and he stayed with me every second until the ambulance arrived for me those people especially Hank are the only ones who made me feel like I was a person and that I matter in life so many people have a mental illness and the people who work in these fields have absolutely no idea how to work with them right now you can't even go outside bc of construction but bottom line in my opinion Hank you deserve an award for saving my life possibly and the rest of the security staff your awesome except the older one he's kind of a butt head lol and I thank you very much and alex great RN cristy she's great and some others I can't remember all of them but so many are rude and very rude I will never go back no matter what there or any where in sih because after being taken by ambulance in Carbondale yes I tried to leave yes I was verbally abused by nurses and yes I punched in my lower stomach/groan by a male staff member and after my seziors was left restrained with straps down not the padding and left in fecal matter and urine that happens after a sezior FYI again some people can't work with mentally ill people and I was only there for depression and anxiety I can only imagine how much worse it could be for others we need to do something about this!! SIH pretty much holds a monopoly on the medical field too so it sucks but we definitely deserve change for people who need or want help they don't deserve to be punched or strapped down with the padding up and straps on your skin the pads should be on the skin I have much more done to me too I plan on trying to get something done about this but we all need to stand together for those you know and love who have a mental illness and may need help one day you want them to be treated in a respectful manner and not punched cdale hospital is the worst well Murphy is bad too they have an older nurse who is just i have no words thanks for reading

The ambulance took my mother to the ER on Wednesday, Oct 1 around 5pm because of respiratory…read moredistress. I met her there. An X-ray showed a diagnose of bronchitis. So, The er doc wanted her admitted around 7:30pm after all her tests came back and she had no access to oxygen at her home. There was a delay because the hospitalist (Dr Mosby) needed to get a report before admission--but she was not responding to calls. Then the ER doc decided in the meantime to do a CAT scan of her lungs. The test came back positive for pneumonia (that the X-ray missed I guess) but he had left for the evening. Now another ER doc (Dr Hastie) had to change the diagnosis before she could be admitted. Hes been here for almost 2 hours now and no updating of the chart. However, it's now almost midnight and she's still in the ER (now for close to 7 hours) and still no movement. This is very poor management. I hope it's better care once she's admitted!
