Unless you want to drive to El Dorado or Pine Bluff, this Walmart is really your only choice for a decent variety of items. However, for as large as this store is, all too often the one item I need is either out of stock or they just plain don't carry it (but carry half a dozen similar items).
Doing grocery shopping on the weekend is a nightmare, not because of the people (it's a small town, it's never that crowded) but because they apparently wait until the first part of the week to re-stock the shelves, so half the things on your grocery list you have to come back for another day or go down the street to Brookshire's. Seriously, people do their shopping on the weekends, why are they not keeping the shelves stocked on those days???
Likewise I needed some inner-tubes for a riding mower. They sell riding mowers, heck they have an auto service area. But they don't sell tire tubes, and I think I might have seen one wheelbarrow tire but no mower tires. Closest thing was green slime and fix-a-flat stuff, but since the tires were cracked on the sidewalls that would not have worked. Being a small town where a lot of people have the cheap riding mowers, you would think that would be an in-demand item (along with blades, belts, etc)... read more
