I was so disappointed im walmart kirkland to i been going there every 2 weeks for groceries for the past 6 years never had a problem till today as I was so embarrassed and felt profiled by the staff/manager so as I was checking out at the self service cash I noticed to of the employees watching me like a hawk ok at first didn't think anything about it as that's there job than after paying and arriving at the exit I was approached by the 2 ladies and 2 other men asking to see my bill again just doing there job since I had things under the cart but then one lady starting digging in my bags when I asked if there was an issue she completely ignored me and continued rummaging through my things so I ask again a few times politely if there was a problem finally she responded that I did not scan some items and continued digging in my things pulling out bread saying it's not on the receipt I had to show her that both breafs were on there than she pulled out my 35cent noodles mind you in just spent 350$ asking me how many I have and were is it on the bill I showed her and she dug them out of bag and counted them this went on for 18 mins of my time wasted and embarrassed and insulted once I put my bags in the car I went back in to service counter to file a complaint it was one of the women at the counter I asked how do I file a complaint she pointed out the manager that was the other woman that had just wasted my time so I asked her how can I file a complaint and she told me to see the woman at the service counter and she just told me to see you and they looked at each other and laughed so all this to say I will never be going back to this walmart again . If a zero rating was possible, that's what I would give it today. While shopping for kids toys for a food bank my co-volunteer and I were told by a Walmart employee to get out of her way because she was working my response was we're shopping. My total at checkout was over $1100. I wonder what the manager there would think about this employee talking to us that way spending this amount of money. Will be buying the rest of the toys. Leave. Give me a Costco right here instead lol. The store is a huge guilt trip eye sore and a drain on my beautiful neighbohood. I'm too scared to eat the groceries here lol I remember all the low quality clothing here that would fall apart easily, and I can imagine there must be a catch to the rest. It actually scares me when I see certain items here that are even cheaper than the dollar store o,O like which corners did they have to cut in order to get their prices that low and still make a profit... It bothers me to know about how this company scams their employees by never giving them full -time hours so they can skip giving them health benefits that they don't offer to part-time workers. Purposely skimming right under the 40 hours/week limit is devious, I feel so bad for thr workers here, I don't have the heart to make it part of my regular shopping trip. The employees look like a diseased filled illegal puppy mill! Like they're very kind, polite, and very nice, but I could feel that they are suffering and not getting the help they need, which is really sad and not expected for a location like this. It would be ok for a person to give off that vibe when they first start, but a job should IMPROVE their situation over time, not suck the life out of them! When I see the employees at Costco, yeah sure, I can tell that some of them come from a "non-spoiled" background, but at least they give the impression that they have life in them and are building a life, like they have reason to be proud to work there. Anyone I've met that worked there, always had their life improved and moved onto better things afterwards, but WalMart, even this branch here... it's just sad. We can smell the fakeness and misery, no matter how much they doll up the place. It's very creepy. There will be no existing healthy employee here as long as this company continues to skirt the laws with their clever loophole tricks, and as a shopper I feel dead in here. Even before I knew about such details, there was always that dead zombie vibe here, to which only makes sense when I learn about what's going on. Get the fk out of my city. If Costco can polish up a crack-head over a little time, I would expect WalMart to be able to accomplish way more with the money we give them, because they make more profits. I don't appreciate paying someone to abuse someone else... while fully clothed, and just sit on their @ss with the money, instead of being productive and actually earning it. I'd be really happy to replace this WalMart with an indoor mall here, since clearly there's enough room for it due to the size. It is not very appealing to have to go outside into the cold, in and out into each store like the rest of the area here, but when there's an indoor group of places, suddenly the outdoor ones closeby seem more convenient actually and more fun to explore even. I'm willing to bet that having an indoor mall here would probably even resolve the lack of business going on down the highway at the next exit too. read more

Unbelievable that the new bulk section only describes the contents of the bins in French only. Even the warning about possible nut cross contamination is in French only. It is really too bad that the Walmart head office has designated both the Kirkland and Pointe-Claire stores as French only. The head-office decision makers didn't take the time to learn that these two locations serve both English and French clients. Shame on Walmart on trying to save a few dollars on bilingual signage and blaming it on the French language charter in Quebec! read more

This is a really new Walmart (it opened February 25th) and it smells new, looks bright and it still clean! Staff was super friendly, they are still stocking the shelves (some were empty) and they have self check out stations! read more

Walmart Kirkland store sold me a wrong prepaid phone card of 100$ on Jan 13, 2016, I asked for a Bell pre-paid phone card and they sold me a Virgin mobile card, probably because they thought Bell and Virgin belong to the same company at that time. I noticed the problem when I tried to activate the card and Bell refused it. I went back to the store to return the card, but they told me they could not do the return for prepaid phone card even though they feel sorry for the mistake of their employee made but they could not do anything about it, they let me to solve it with Bell and Virgin Mobile by myself, they told me they could not hold the responsibility for the mistake of their employee made for this case. I called Bell again and they told me it's impossible for them to fix this issue as they are different company with Virgin Mobile, and let me to return the card to the store. Now I am stuck!!!! read more
