Second, there are arrows on the ground directing the flow of traffic at the pumps for a reason - DO NOT drive in through the exit to use an empty pump. If you are facing the cars waiting for a pump, you are doing it wrong. Third, download the Sam's Club app to make paying for gas faster and easier. This will help cut down on the amount of time people behind you have to wait for you to figure out how to pay. You can open the app while you are waiting your turn in line to figure out how to use the pay with app feature. If everyone follows the system Sam's has set up it shouldn't take forever to get gas here, but there is usually a long line and a long wait. Also go first thing in the morning for short to no wait times. And one final thought: if Sam's Club is closed (holiday, etc) then the gas pumps are closed too.

It wasn't filthy, but it was probably a grade C Given that the Brand appears to be trying to separate itself from other brands and make a name for itself with the flashy images on the walls and the adventure theme... They probably need to work on the cleanliness aspect of things to help. Keep the theme going the way they wanted to or it's not gonna do any good.
