For reference, RaceTrac's are massive back in Atlanta...and I miss them so much! Now that I got my fan-girl moment out the way, I popped into this RaceTrac to top off the ole tank and grab a snack/drink. I love the RaceTrac coffee machine's, so naturally I scooped up an Iced Coffee for a short drive home to East Nashville. The store was clean, well stocked and in decent condition for a gas station. It is a very busy location, so cleanliness is hit and miss, and conditionally, it could use some TLC. Gas prices are competitive, but never the cheapest in the area, so I usually swing by this location for snacks and drinks...and a slice of pizza on occasion. Service is inconsistent here, but that is with most gas stations honestly. I have had friendly cashiers, and then I have had borderline rude cashiers and even some who could ignore me if they could. Overall, I enjoy the RaceTrac brand and given this location, will continue to pop in when needed.

After putting the dogs on the buns and putting relish on them i realized there was no mustard packets. Hard for me to eat a dog without mustard. The clerk, Erica looked for mustard packets but couldn't find any. She asked the store manager, Adam who was stocking shelves and he said there were no packets. Adam was so kind and went to the shelf and handed me a full bottle of mustard off the shelf to use. He then told the clerk to not charge us for the hot dogs. What a kind gesture and great customer service. Store was clean and right off the interstate.

My thought is that if you don't enjoy your job, find another one! The lady's name was Laura, at least that's what she told me. She seemed to have an attitude, because I sat in my car for two minutes after pulling up, to finish my Arizona ice tea. Then, when I went to pay for gas she took 7 minutes to scan my shell reward card and swipe my debit card. I went to the pump, to pump gas and it didn't work. She had to run my card again, therefore charging me twice. She claims that they money from the first transaction that she messed but up would be put back into my account, but it hasn't yet. It was a really bad experience; and although I live close to this location I would rather travel to any other gas station than experienced what I did last night. Terrible.

This Shell sits on Rivergate Parkway, essentially under Vietnam Veterans Parkway and for the most part, is your standard, locally owned neighborhood convenience store that happens to be branded Shell. With only 8 pumps and small interior, the footprint of this location is not that large. Due to this, they lack the options of larger locations. They have the well-known snacks and candies, and some of the drinks, but again, selection is limited. There is a small self serve coffee and soft drink station as well. However if you can't find the drink or snack you are after, can I interest you in a beanie baby or ski mask? The store has seen better days conditionally. From outside to inside to the restrooms, some TLC would do it some good. Cleanliness was good, no issues there. Service was friendly and helpful, owner was kind and good to deal with. Overall, good location for when needed...however there are better options in the immediate area as well.

Overall, not my go-to location, but good to have in the area!
