I don't recall coming here before, but this Walmart is pretty busy, from the parking lot to the store itself, maybe because it shares the same lot with Costco and in front of it was Costco gas station, so everyone coming here will be running around like headless chickens to find parking, even worse for handicap park. The inside store, I can tell it is super crowded, women bathroom is closed for maintenance, the men side wasn't better, toilet papers everywhere on the floor without anyone cleaning them. At least the stocking was nice and organized, they were not short on staff in the front but the ground might be a different story, but I figured the place must be very secured, a lot of stuffs that were locked inside glass windows were left outside here. read more

What a joke!!! Bought a cheap microwave this afternoon since ours stopped working. And boy the joke is on me. This microwave is used, dented, burnt and missing the turntable. Each time I've returned things at other Walmart locations they open up the box to make sure everything is in there and in new condition before exchanging or refunding. Well this is obviously NOT the car at this location. What a darn shame. Someone surely scammed Walmart for a new microwave and the jokes on me. It doesn't matter how large and stocked a store is and the amount of selection it has, but this Walmart is THE worst when comes to proper staffing (cashiers at photo, check out stands and returns). Is it just me, or are cashiers slooooow?! During peak hours, this Walmart on Broadway should be better managed when comes to staffing during peak hours and on holidays. No joke, it's congested not only inside but outside, as well. Costco is right next door. More traffic to add for Walmart shoppers. The parking lot may be large but still has some challenges. There's one entrance closest to Walmart that is constantly moving like a 4-way stop. The other entrance furthest out is Costco gas station. Also, creates more chaos and the slowing down of that part of entrance. Staff at this location are generally not rude. Nothing special about them to highlight. Why do I go to this location? I honestly do NOT like this location but I only make it over due to convenience when I'm running around conducting errands. I love my neighborhood Walmart on Saturn blvd. My location choice. They have everything you basically would expect from a Walmart . However, their customer service is straight up garbage. I've come is many times and no one ever says hello. The customer service and money transfer lines are always long and have one person assigned there that works at snail pace. The management is more worried about trying to inspect your bags filled with items I paid for then actually helping the people inside here. "This Walmart kicks ass," I texted my husband as I got lost in this location's crafts and sewing section. It's HUGE! If you're working on a craft project, you'll definitely want to come here. There are fabrics and sewing items, embroidery tools, canvases and paint, and even popsicle sticks if you want to release your inner kid and use them. The prices aren't very bad, either. Honestly, I think it's weird this location is so lowly rated. Then, I read the comments and people give it 1 and 2 stars for the most ridiculous things. As a special needs parent it would be incredible if I was allowed to take the adaptive cart(Caroline's cart) out to my car so I can unload my groceries. You know like everyone else gets to do with the normal carts. Crazy concept but my child isn't just disabled inside the store. He's disabled all the time. I quit using Walmart because the last 2 times I ordered from them to be delivered they didn't deliver to my home. Before this they always were good at bringing my things to my apartment. One time they left the package outside my apartment building where anyone on the street could take it. I never received it. They took a picture of it being left outside the apartment building. The other time they delivered it to some lady I don't even know. They took a picture of the lady but I never found out who that lady was and never received my package. Then they had the nerve to email me saying that I needed to update my address because of my complaints. The fact is on both orders part of the orders were delivered to my door while the other parts either outside or to another person. They were delivered on different days. How is the address wrong if you delivered some of the items on both orders to my apartment door. Some of there delivery drivers won't deliver correctly. And Walmart doesn't seem to care. So I quit using the Walmart app. I now shop at other stores. read more

Giving this store a 3 star. They do have products that are affordable . Cashiers are mostly always nice. But getting paint or products that are locked , they take a long time to come and help you, that's if they do come sometimes you have to push the button for customer service again and then wait another 10 minutes. too much of a hassle. Shop for products that are locked . I just get them somewhere else. Getting out of Walmart it's also a Mission because you have to show your receipt and sometimes you can choose to get it through your phone as a text and you have to take it out and show them , This becomes a problem because you end up with a long line trying to go out so there's another waiting period:(. I live next to this Walmart and always avoid it. I decided to give it another chance went in for a light bulb I found it behind some glass and pressed the button for assistance and then waited about 5 minutes for no one to come. I then looked for the closest employee for help which was an older man named David I asked if he had the key to open the door and then he just instructed me to wait until he was finished what he was doing then told me to just press the button for some assistance so I then waited another 10 minutes for no one to come and for me to find David 2 aisles over taking to another customer with the keys he said he didn't have. DOES NOBODY ACTUALLY DO ANY WORK HERE?? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I tried calling just to ask if something was in stock (the app said it was, but then would tell me it wasn't when I would actually try to order it for pickup). Upon calling, the automated directory told me to press 5 for electronics. I did this, but it kept directing me to the fitting room and that guy just kept transferring me to the delivery/pickup department as soon as I asked for a stock check to see if I could "pickup", without even hearing what exactly it was that I was asking for. I'd wait for 8 or so minutes of ringing, only to have him answer again and retry to transfer me. This happened for almost 30 minutes and I never got the info I needed. Then I tried calling HR, but it rang for about 5-6 minutes before I was too angry to continue. It's a Walmart at 1:30 PM on a Tuesday, there's no way it's so busy they can't take a phone call. This whole process took over 40 minutes. It would have taken me 36 minutes to go drive to that Walmart and come back home, so my time was completely wasted. The laziness and complete lack of willingness to help was unbelievable. Walmart needs to up its standard for hiring and fire these lazy people who do nothing but complain and sit around, looking for any possible way to avoid actually doing their job while they're at work. NEVER DO ONLINE ORDERS FOR PICKUP AT THIS LOCATION Ordered two bikes online to be picked up at this store as Christmas gifts for my kids. Bikes were delivered to store but somehow got lost. Store manager gave me no solution except to refund my money. This all happened a day before Christmas so my kids didn't get their bikes on Christmas morning. I was told by Walmart.com customer service manager that the bikes were delivered and signed for at that location which means that apparently the employees aren't properly trained on how to handle online orders. Came here to cool off. My daughter likes to look at the toys. This place is always packed with people. I guess all of Chula Vista comes here. My daughter and I walk to where the toys are. Some girl snatched the last Shopkins toy! Boo! I told my daughter it was okay and that we will have to go to a Target instead where they have more selection. This location has a lot but for some reason you can't find Shopkins toys here. There's a shortage of those but you can find so many other toys. I managed to buy my daughter a matching Aerial princess crown for $4.00. Sold! Not bad. I had to look in the back of the princess costumes. You can find some great deals here.
