Seriously, the gap between Evansville and Mt Vernon is desolate. I kept driving until I made it to Mt Vernon, and called AAA who recommended these guys. I assumed it was my alternator, and after they checked the alternator was in fact the issue. I was worried that this temporary hang up was going to mess up my vacation plans, but they made sure it did not. Got the new alternator and replaced it all on a late Friday afternoon and I was back on the road. Was it cheap? I don't know. I hadn't had an alternator put in a vehicle in a long time. I mean, everything seems high to me. But it was exactly what I needed when I needed it, and I'd have paid up for that anyway. So, for the speed and timeliness of the job, it was worth it to me. The guy lied and said all the tires were almost completely worn and we should replace them all (we had driven 15,000 miles). We declined. Replaced 2 tires. Since then all 4 tires have gone flat repeatedly. Yesterday I found out they improperly sealed all my tires. All 4 tires were done incorrectly. Will never bring my car to Monken again. Will never recommend them. They just want money and to rip you off. Completely disgusted that they ruined all my tires.

Didn't go to the dealership because they will charge like you will be the sole reason their lights stay on, while mechanic shops like this usually do need repeat business in small towns to keep going. Picked up and got an hour away before discovering the air intake and filter in the back seat. The owner showed up after 9p to put our car back together and offered a free oil change, but the trust is broken. Will be watching our vehicle the next couple weeks to be sure lasting damage didn't occur. Will find someone else in the future.
