I needed a new tire to replace one that had a nail in it. Walmart didn't have the size I needed in stock, so they ordered it and said it would be delivered the next day. The clerk told me it should be there around 9am, and promised to call me when it arrived. The next morning, I stayed home from work to wait for her call and when nobody had called me by 10:30, I called the store. The tire was there, and had been since shortly after 9 am like she told me. (I didn't bother to ask why she didn't call me like she promised.) Anyway, I went to have it mounted.
The damaged tire was on the rear passenger side, which to me meant the new tire would be mounted in the same place. I had recently had another tire replaced. The newer tire was on the front because the tires had been rotated a few days before, so I asked them please to move the newer tire (which I pointed out to them - physically put my hand on it) to the back so the two good tires would be on the rear. That is standard for tire replacement. I discovered the next day that they had moved one of the OLDER tires to the back, and put the brand new tire on the FRONT. Why??? There were three (yes, 3) technicians working on my car. I would have thought at least one of them knew how to properly mount new tires. So now, the two newer tires are on one side of the car, and the older, more worn tires are on the other side! Wow! I thought I was dealing with professionals who knew what they were doing. I was wrong. Now I have to go back to have them do what they should have done in the first place. I plan have them replace the two older tire because I can get the brand I want for a great price, but I suppose I'll have to either stand there and make sure they put them in the right place, or draw them a picture.
