However, they promised if they run into issues and the project cannot be done my money will be refunded and the steering wheel returned. At the first attempt, the shop was unsuccessful with the job. The professional thing to do was to call me and let me know. Instead, when I called to inquire on the project completion, I was informed they run into issues with the traditional welding and decided to use JB welding. I did not pay them for JB welding job. The final job did not come out right with stability concerns with respect to the JB welding. Any honest professional person will own up, keep their word and refund me my money. However, not this thief. He wanted to keep my item and then refund me the money. The common sense option that I suggested was for him to take out the JB weld, give me my item as is and refund me the money. He claimed he cannot take out the JB weld and insisted on keeping my item if I wanted a refund. This unprofessional shop went ahead and faked my signature on the receipt when I refused to sign. I left with my steering and I will be lodging a complaint with the police for faking my signature on a receipt. Also, when he found out the steering wheel was from a BMW, he wanted to charge more money. Greedy shop.

Every time I walk in they help me troubleshoot my issues (invariably user error or routine maintenance I've neglected) with grace, and often no charge at all. Their staff - to a person - is knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. Pricing is fair. I've willingly paid a bit more for the occasional part bc it's worth it to keep shops like this in business. (Yeah, maybe I could get it from Amazon for a bit less, but Amazon sure isn't gonna help me find the part, much less TEACH me why my machine is jamming up and making me absolutely INSANE ...) ALSO have a great little fabric & findings store - selection & quality better than you'll find at the big box stores. But that's really the icing on the cake. The exemplary staff is the value here.

I understood the policy and appreciated the staff following procedures. Later, I called to check on the availability of the machine, but was disappointed to learn it had sold. What concerned me more, however, was the tone and manner in which I was treated during the call. Rather than being offered assistance or alternative options, I felt dismissed and that my interest as a customer was not valued. The person that took my call was the owner. She had just said how she wanted to attract some newer clientele at her sew Fair. I believe in supporting local businesses and would have appreciated a more helpful and welcoming approach--such as being invited to return and explore other options. Instead, the interaction left me feeling discouraged from returning. When Walmart and other stores offer so many other financing options one would think you would be appreciative of potential new clients. I know 2000 or 2500 isn't a lot to many but to me it was a big deal. I am a wife, a mother and a teacher and someone who did sales for over 10 years. A good customer is a returning customer. To add up until calling to acquire about the availably of my machine the customer service i received was amazing. The two men that helped me were extremely knowledgeable and a wealth of knowledge. I'm sharing this feedback in the hope it will be taken constructively. I would still be interested in finding a sewing machine that fits my needs, and I would appreciate a chance to work with a team member who is ready to assist. Thank you for your time and attention. Sincerely, Leah Brown

Then, after we had given them the rug, they called and asked if we would mind if they sent it out to another service that they thought would do a better job. We said sure, if you think that's a good idea. Two and a half weeks later, I was notified and picked up the rug. The edge on one entire side had been destroyed. Whoever cleaned it had stuck little tags on it saying it was damaged when they got it, but that was a straight-up lie. It was in excellent condition when I brought it in and only somewhat dirty. The other edge had some damage, but not as much. We are now pricing rug repair to the tune of $350 or more. We don't know much about rug cleaning and so, perhaps, should have known we should have taken it to a specialist. But they also should have been honest with us when we asked whether that was a service they performed. Basic honesty about what you can or can't do is a trademark of good service. So we've learned our lesson, but it's been an expensive one. I should add that during this process I called them a couple of times and was not able to leave them a message. They also have a paper sign posting COVID hours on their door, but haven't bothered to update Google search or their website. So there were a couple of extra fruitless trips and phone calls involved in this whole process, as well.
