They didn't charge us much for the new tires and came back to us before we expected the job to be done, telling us that the wheels were already in the trunk of our SUV. Once they didn't even charge us on replacing a valve stem on a UTV tire (but that was after we had already had some work done with them so don't go asking for free work...). The staff there were helpful and jovial (rascally actually), a pleasure to do business with. I would recommend them to anyone.

Today they…read moredecided to ignore specific instructions re mounting tires to FIRST check if the TPMS work before proceeding with any balancing & mounting. A failure of the TPMS would result in a wasted tire mounting & balancing = wasted time and $$$. I was told that they were so busy they chose to ignore my instructions, charged ahead with mounting & balancing all 4 tires without being sure the TPMS worked, and I am stuck footing the bill. Well #1 we found out the TPMS didn't work. (that should have stopped things right there) & #2 That the Edge rims are incompatible with my MKX (that surprised me, good to know - this to could have been discovered BEFORE mounting and balancing 4 tires). This all should have been done on the very first tire before ANYTHING was mounted & balanced. I would have gladly paid for the 1st tire and both the shop and customer would not have wasted both time and money. They totally disregarded my instructions. I advised them twice, first when booking the appointment in April and again when I dropped off the car this am. Ripped off for $120 + HST for THEIR failure to follow simple instructions. I have previously recommended other friends/customer to patronize your shop, one as recently as last week. Will make sure to share my experience with as many people as possible. You lost several existing customers today.

I went to pick it up this morning extremely disappointed I had a rental vehicle for 2 weeks, now I must start all over again and take it to another shop to have this work done. Rocky Island said get the car there and they would wait around. We rolled in right at 5, when they should have all been going home, they pounced on the car like an F1 team. They were excellent on price, super nice, and really helped us out of a bind, as I was on a space saver tire that would not have got us home and we would have had to find accommodation until the next day. A sales person needs to understand the different kinds of buyers that come in. I got the same tactics as everyone else, which rub me the wrong way. Lies and pressure don't work for me. I easily see through the lies, and I don't deal with being pressured. Don't tell me how to spend my money, and don't try to railroad me into anything. When I did buy the vehicle, I told them of problems that I noticed. These problems should have been caught in their "safety", and when they go over the vehicle before putting it up for sale. They promised that they would be taken care of. I got the vehicle, they didn't do a thing to it. So, more lies. I've dealt with dealers with sales staff that understand how to deal with different people. That aren't driven by lies and pressure. Good sales folks are out there, unfortunately not here.
