Con Artis or a Dentist... You decide after viewing the photos! Complain was filed with the Dental Board of California and Dr. Bashawaty is under investigation. Before I share my devastating experience and mediocre dentistry performed by Dr. Bashawaty, I'd like to share, I have been working in the dental industry for the past 19 years and Dr. Bashawaty was my client for some of those years. I had two failed roots canals, #7 and #11, both front teeth. They however, we're not sympathetic. Meaning, I didn't have active infections, requiring immediate extractions. For those who may not know, dentistry has become very lucrative profession. Unfortunately, a lot of so-called doctors (dentists) have become blinded by dollars. Greed has taken over. You may be surprised to learn, dental offices have a weekly and monthly quotas to hit, (selling dental treatments) to hit their goal/quotas and receive their bonuses. So, Dr. Wally Bashawaty created urgency for the extractions, telling me how dangerous it is for my health and had his oral surgeon, place both implants. Dr. Bashawaty provided me with price quote, which included bone graft material, which for some strange reason, wasn't used, and to this day, I haven't been refunded my funds (after asking several times Dr. Wally, including his office manager, Donna). Once they get hold of your credit card, and you pay for something, if things go south, DO NOT expect to see a refund. This is not Nordstrom, this is a Con Artist at his finest. A year after both Implants were placed, both became infected. Dr. Bashawaty replaced the new crowns and abutment. After that, I started loosing bone and gym tissue around both implants and adjacent teeth, exposing the titanium abutment on #7, right in the middle of my smile. Notice how long my canine tooth is, due to lack of bone, for which I paid for!! I scheduled meeting with Dr. Bashawaty to discuss the mediocre procedure. Once again, I expressed my concern for the bone graft I was charged for, but was not unused, and now I have recession. His only response was, "my surgeon, used the best bone to place the implants." Seriously?! Fast forwarding two years and three consultations with oral surgeons later, both implant have to be removed and start for the beginning. Bone graft, tissue, graft, new implants, new abutments and new crowns. I emailed Dr. Bashawaty several times requesting a full refund for the destruction he and his surgeon caused me for life. Here is his reply my friends: "I regret to inform you that as far as our billing is concerned, we have charged barely enough money to cover our overhead, Lab fees, and our surgeon fees. So in order to ask for a refund will be extremely unfair to my practice and myself. I wish you all the best , And hope all is well. Kind regards. Dr. Wally Bashawaty." Honest doctor will issue a refund Dr. Bashawaty, but we already established, you are not. That's why the Dental Board is investigating your practices. The purpose of this review is, if anyone is looking for quality dentistry, keep looking somewhere else. This is disgrace what they did to me, and many others, some of whom I personally know. Now we are paying doble fees to fix something that didn't have to be done at first place, I was over diagnosed, and I have to pay again to fix his mediocre work. My family and I have personally been through it all but now we know we're in safe hands. We've been a patient here for about 2 years now. Disappointed that after 25 years of coming here and recommending MANY patients I am leaving. The over spending of Dr have now made it about $$$ and not patient care. Fees compared to other practices are beyond fair and reasonable for dental work and even common courtesy to keep prices reasonable for elderly patients that Dr has seen for years are out the window. Every visit prices have doubled and tripled for dental work and the "friends and family discount" is just a scam to over charge. This is a trick. Prices are already over regular fees and then they try to tell you because your family we will reduce our already over the top fees. Dr claims he can't afford to do less but he seems to be living the high life at his patients expense. Very sad read more

I was in a bad auto accident 22 years ago and incurred some terrible injuries including dental damage. It has been difficult to find a dentist that I felt comfortable with , let alone sit in a chair for any length of time for treatment. That feeling is gone now !!! Dr. Wally and his staff are simply AMAZING !!! The moment you walk in the door you are greeted by the receptionist/scheduler Paige and office manager Donna. You feel like you have been welcomed into someone's home. Warm , safe & inviting. If you're getting a teeth cleaning you are met by either Lina or Janell, both registered dental hygienists. The care and knowledge they deliver to you is off the charts ! So pleasant and comfortable. If you have already had a consultation and are there for any type of procedures such as what I went through (crowns & veneers) you are met by Dr Wally himself along with any one of his dental assistants Deanna, Joe, Kadie or Andrea. They will treat you like family and make sure your dental journey is comfortable, successful and pain free. They are knowledgeable game changers. Wally himself will make you feel like a brother or sister, father or mother. He plain and simply cares about every one of his patients . The feeling is palpable. $300 for a 30 min regular cleaning is unacceptable. The dental work is also very very expensive. People look around and you can find great dentist for 1/5 of the price. Dr bashawaty wasent able to keep his word Seversl other dentist habe refused to take on this reconstruction because of the shoddy workman ship. They all new immediately why the one problem tooth and chipped front tooth kept popping Somehow Dr Wally was unanle to figure it out after 15 trys, you would think he would know ot was him and tomy the impalnt maker would have figured it out. After his marriage he promised to replace tjis shoddy. Gross implant But NO! He would only fix the problem if i paid $4000 for a set of teeth i never gave consent to. Dr# took it upon hisself to order## Now he has held me hostage umless i pay the $4000 and let him pullout my bottom teeth too. So now after paying him $13700, he has binded me. Not one of the 6 dentist i have tried to go to other dentist. Butsl taken care of, refuse because of Dr Bashawaty hack job. Some wantef me to sign a waiver. I said i would and they still regused. I am embarrassed to go out, i am unable to date, unanle to be me. because thats what they see when talkimg. I have gone into depression, the emotional pain associated with this knowing they cant be fixed is overwhelming. I look horrific. He took my smile away. I dont have the $1700.00. I get no pleasure in leaving this review, but had to share my experience for anyone planning a trip to the dentist during COVID-19. If you have not had a chance to get vaccinated yet, as I have not, perhaps reconsider this office. I was recommended to Dr. Bashawaty's office by my mother-in-law, who has gone to him for many years. I came for a regular cleaning. I have all my teeth, including my wisdom teeth (which grew in straight) and have some silver fillings from childhood. I floss every day and use an electric toothbrush. PROS: *SO personable and friendly--the doctor himself, and his staff. This was my first visit, and he knew my name and remembered my face from my mother-in-law showing him pictures and mentioning me. This was truly sweet!!! *Great cleaning! Hygienist sanitized surfaces mid-appointment, and changed to fresh gloves at least 3 times. *Did not keep me waiting! As a new patient, I filled out my information via the link they texted me, and even though it didn't go through on their end, they allowed me to finalize my info after the cleaning. CONS: *The waiting room was QUITE crowded as soon as I entered the office. In fact, an entire family of 4 and at least a few other patients were waiting (thankfully wearing masks, but very near to each other). *The hygienist informed me respectfully that the stains like the ones in the deep grooves of my teeth were either caused by candy eating and soda drinking, or possibly just the shape of my teeth holding stains. I do not drink soda at all and I eat very little candy on occasion. I have heard from previous dentists to keep an eye on my stained grooves. Dr. Bashawaty, however, called these stains "NEGLECT" and said this to me several times. (Mind, the hygienist said I had practically no tartar buildup because I floss every day and use an electric brush.) So insulting. *I have old silver fillings which I was told I needed to be removed because they are unsafe, and that they obviously needed to be replaced for me. No previous dentist has ever mentioned this. I'm no dentist, and, sure, I wouldn't go for silver for any new fillings, but removing old silver fillings is unnecessary and can be more dangerous than leaving them. *Speaking of fillings, I was told that I needed to have SIXTEEN filled (once the current filled ones I have are ripped out, of course and the rest to cover up my grooves before they become cavities). I get this. I do. But SIXTEEN? The hygienist recommended 4 subsequent visits for this. Then she took close-up pictures of my teeth to show me "how bad" my grooves were, and the contrast on this camera was insane! Granted, I have stains. I can see them. I'm not in denial, but it looked like black grout in my teeth in these photos; that's how stark the contrast was. *My teeth aren't perfectly straight, but they are straight enough for me. I was given the HARDEST of hard sells for Invisalign™ at pretty much every turn of the appointment. I LIKE the way my teeth look. There is crowding on my bottom teeth that bothers me exactly 0%. But Dr. Bashawaty told me, "Your teeth probably didn't look like that when you were 14." Insinuating that my smile was now bad because my wisdom teeth pushed the rest of my teeth into an ugly, crowded mess. *As part of the Invisalign™ push, it was obviously mentioned that all my wisdom teeth must go. Dr. Bashawaty literally said, "You have too many teeth!" as a reason for removing them. And then said he would have his team call up the folks at Invisalign™ to see if I needed one of my healthy bottom canine teeth pulled to make space, too. You would think I had a jaw condition from the way he was talking about me! None of my teeth even stick out. *Dr. Bashawaty's mask didn't cover his nose the entire time he was meeting with me. He attempted to lift it over his nose a few times, and it immediately slid back down. I could feel his breath on my face. I obviously wasn't wearing a mask as he was looking at my teeth. This was truly unnerving!!!! *My work has a newer brand of dental insurance, so I totally understand that it would take longer to find and confirm it. I showed the receptionist my info on my dental insurance app on my phone, because I was never provided an insurance card. My phone wasn't close enough, so I let her hold it. She proceeded to reach under her mask and scratch her nose, then continued to touch my phone. *Finally, a staff member tried to continue helping me with my insurance once the receptionist was unable to confirm it. At this point, it's probably my fault, but the woman checking my insurance held my phone and used the info to call my insurance. However, when she was placing the call, she completely pulled her mask down, exposing her nose and mouth in an enclosed space (while also touching my phone). TL;DR: Friendly, COVID-cavalier staff and doctor will insult you into future procedures. I've already ordered a COVID test. read more

This is huge because other offices I've been to have not be attentive and it really dampens the experience. I don't like going to the dentist....I have had bad experiences in the past and botched jobs. A friend recommends this office. I originally had a bad root canal and the tooth had to be pulled. I needed an implant and night guard badly. For two years I put off getting the implant because I didn't like going to the dentist, but the experience I've had here is beyond any! They are truly amazing. You can tell just from the intake visit that the doctors care about you and they have your best interest at heart. Dr. Ravon was the implant specialist, he was very caring and explained everything step by step through the entire process.
