Bill Herbert is polite, professional and a distinct pleasure to work with. I decided to do a large amount of remodeling to our house and realIzed that I FIRST needed to have our popcorn textured ceilings scraped and refinished. After having tried to do this myself (since I considered myself fairly 'handy') and having failed miserably in trying to match my 'knockdown' wall finish - I called WallTech to refinish ONE room and the rest of my downstairs rooms. Within less than one week they came and repaired/refinished my 'attempt' and the rest of the downstairs rooms as well. They also installed some recessed can lights, repaired holes in the ceiling due to light relocations, wall holes from electrical box re-locations, and damaged areas due to removing glued mirrors on walls. I have used WallTech 3 more separate times since in getting ALL of my upper story rooms and hallways scraped, refinished and all remodeling/drywall repairs completed. I cannot stress enough to tell how hard I found it to be in attempting to 'exactly' match a heavy knockdown wall finish. WallTech did this exactly and superbly. This company has VERY fair prices with no 'mark-ups' and they are QUICK and VERY neat and clean. Getting popcorn ceilings scraped and refinished is EXTREMELY messy - so consider this fact carefully. I can assure you that WallTech will leave your house looking 'as if they were never there' except for the work they do in matching EXACTLY the type of finish that you have on your existing walls! Again - I HIGHLY recommend having WallTech see to your needs when it comes to drywall work and drywall finishing. Whether you think you are paying 'more' or 'less' in trying to compare prices - you'll NOT find a company that can do BETTER QUALITY work than WallTech! I own a home that was built in 1989 so it still had the "popcorn" acoustic ceiling. I had Bill @ Walltech come by and give me an estimate to take it down. He was the best priced estimate that I received so I went with him. Because it was the best priced bid, I was a little nervous about the quality I would receive. But WOW! He did an amazing job! The acoustic was removed and the ceiling re-textured. When he finished, there was a spot that I hadn't even noticed in the family room. HE pointed it out to me and said he wasn't happy with the way it came out in that area so he came back the following day and touched it up. I would never have even noticed it but because he takes pride in his work, it was important to him that it be perfect and it was! He answered his phone and always got back to me quickly if he wasn't able to pick up. He showed up on time for the job and finished on schedule. We had what appeared to be someone's interpretation of knockdown on our ceiling that looked more like outside stucco. I called around and decided to go with Walltech. Bill was very professional, timely and courteous. He confirmed what we wanted and then explained the process of how he could repair our ceiling. He came across as sincere and not some guy trying to rack up a bill. The result of his work was outstanding. It's very hard to decide who to choose when something needs repair and one doesn't have a clue how to get it fixed. Finding someone who you can trust to do the job is difficult. I completely gutted a bathroom down to the studs and then installed 9 sheets of new drywall. I was going to do the knockdown texture myself but after experimenting with different methods on scrap pieces I decided to call a professional. I called Bill at Walltech who was able to come by the same afternoon and he gave me a very reasonable estimate, I said ok. He arrived on the scheduled day at 8 am as planned. He completed the bathroom work in less than 2 hours and I also had him do some patchwork in my hallway. Bill from Walltech did an outstanding job repairing my drywall from running TV component wires through the living room walls and installing additional electrical outlets, etc. Being a former Contractor myself, I know how difficult it is to blend texturing, especially in a room that gets direct sunlight. Bill estimated a complete drywall-finish of our garage at 3 days. It took him 5. BUT only because he was an absolute perfectionist. He could have cut a few corners while still doing a great job (let's face it it's just a garage) but he didn't. He wanted it to be perfect. The garage came out amazing! He spent time in the details and it certainly shows. He's also a nice guy which is always a plus. We're planning on building a new detached workshop next year. My husband and I purchased a home built in 1988.
