A modernized facility featuring local artists. A wonderful performance venue that comfortably holds a few hundred people. The stage has a well designed arch and the acoustics in the room are perfect for band performances. I only have one visit under my belt for a bluegrass band night. There were different ticket prices with general admission being the least expensive. I would encourage you to go this route if attending a show. This is a standing ticket. You're seeing a band so you're going to be moving about anyway, right? If you do pay more for a seat/table ticket, just be aware those with general admission tickets will be standing between the stage and your seat. The Thelma is open to wedding receptions & private events. This would be a great venue to be host to that type of celebration and there are many spots within the facility to capture great photos to memorialize your event. One of my friends encouraged me to check out Thelma and I'm glad I took the time to explore this venue. I will definitely be back.

I hired Sweet N Easy Events because I thought it would make it less stressful during my wedding…read moreday. Before the event, I paid them $1,700 for their services. Days leading up to the wedding, I had questions in order to do other planning and I didn't get answers for at least 3 weeks and then was told they had other clients they had to worry about before mine and that if I wanted my questions answered I would have to pay the $25 an hour to meet with them (virtually). Ok fine, I just had questions I needed answered in order to proceed with plans with the venue so I paid it. Then the day of, there were only 2 people decorating. 1 decorator said they were messaged on Facebook and was asked if they could help. They said they would get a team together and show them the plan I had made, but she had no idea about what the plans were. The other decorator was amazing! There were supposed to be 3 people but one never showed up. Needless to say, the one that was from Facebook left for an hour and half and left the other one by herself. My sister and her mother in-law were there to help coordinate but ended up decorating most of the hall themselves! The decorators were able to decorate the night before, but the morning of, all the back drop (they decorated) behind my head table was falling down and we had to fix it. I also paid them to pack up my stuff after the wedding. They left all of my stiff hanging out of boxes and didn't even have the decency to close them and everything was just thrown into a random boxes. When I was sorting through them later on they didn't even put like things together. I found pictures in different boxes, glowsticks in different boxes, my picture frames were found in a few different boxes also. I had everything labeled for them and I had the boxes everything came in and extra boxes from stuff that didn't need to be put away. They told me I didn't have enough boxes! I my wedding was on June 23rd, 2023 and i have been trying to get some of my money back since 6-24-23. I went on my honeymoon the following week so I had my sister trying to contact them and she talked to 3 different people, she asked to talk to the owner but haven't been able to. I emailed them as soon as i got back from my honeymoon and still haven't gotten a response. Please consider someone else or family members before going through this company.

The $100 pet fee was expected but $100 was excessive given there were no amenities provided with no rationale to attribute for the charge. As for room storage; small drawers with exceptionally low capacity for our things. As for front desk, we called several times inside and outside and the phones were never answered. We were prompted to leave a message. That was discouraging and we thought about looking elsewhere. Lastly, staff (housekeeping and the bar/room service) made up for the shortcomings, the bar tender/ room service person was AMAZING and he understood how to keep the guests feeling special by providing Excellent conversation & service! Thank you!! Size wise, the rooms were way too small and adding to the issues such as what's listed above will eventually diminish the hotel's relevancy if unchecked. Came across this place while walking downtown. Only hotel that I could find in the area. On a whim, booked it direct on their site. Room rate was reasonable. Old, fancy, historical building. Fridge and safe, no microwave. Bed was comfy. Slept great. TV slides out from under the footboard of the bed. Never seen that before. Shower was also something I have not encountered before. Large square dispenser directly over your head. Felt great. Fond du Lac is worth a visit. If you find yourself in town, I highly recommend this hotel!

They would play a good song and got people dancing, and then next song sucked. I'm older, but didn't know half the songs they played. This wedding reception was 4 weeks ago and I've been stewing ever since. Read a crowd- NO they can't! And at the end, the DJ stopped the mother of the bride later in the evening as she's walking into the restroom to tell her he just got a part in a play he tried out for. She had no clue why he would tell her that. What kind of goofs are these guys?
