Minor League Baseball…read more Home of fried food, cheap tickets, a racing pork roll mascot and, oh by the way, there is actual baseball going on too. I love this stuff because it's an experience. The promos, the seating choices and every now and then you actually see some good play on the field as well. Each team is a slightly different variation from the next. Our experience here was fairly basic but overall nothing surprised me. We came for a Wednesday game in mid-June and even though all of the premium seating down front was "sold out" (i.e. it's sold to season ticket holders that are rarely there so most nights the seats while sold, go empty) the overall physical attendance was maybe 2000 tops. 101-103 was completely empty the same as 113-115. The place was dead. For a backup plan I chose the firepit seating. Some good and bad here. The good is that even though you are way the heck out past the LF wall, the sightline isn't bad. Regarding the fire pit seats - I. A few of the fire pits didn't work and couldn't be lit or in the case of ours (#5) it took the better part of the top of the 1st for it to finally get going which was good since it was cool and breezy out. II. In principle you don't need tickets for these seats to sit at them. A few of the fire pits went unsold yet magically people were sitting at them all night. Yes, the staff won't light them but they also won't stop you from sitting at them. It really defeats the whole point. I guests next time here if I see an unused seat right behind the plate I'm moving in for the kill. The food we experienced was total trash. Cooked in the fires of hell overdone chicken finger baskets that had various amounts of fries meaning some of the orders had a lot and some barely had any. Total ripoff. What works here are the obvious things. Ticket prices are reasonable, the parking charge is in line with what you pay at most minor league parks and the stadium is small enough that all seats are good seats. Locationally it's also an easy on/off the NJT. Oh right, the baseball. Well, you get what you get for High A ball. A few throwing errors, two pop-ups that were dropped and more of what is killing the sport as a whole with a combined K total for both teams of 20+. All in all it was a good time and a good experience. Was it my favorite minor league park? Not by a longshot but it's good enough and I assume we'll be back in the future.

The game started with a parade of Legion Riders on their motorcycles - impressive. The experience did not disappoint as we were to experience the normal entertainment on and around the field - there was even a game! The Blue Claws lost, however, even though we were able to witness three individual home runs. It was a special night, for sure, as the Blue Claws welcomed their 8,000,000th spectator! I was spectator # 7,900, 949! An overall good experience and an opportunity for families to see some young men playing their hearts out for their chance at a brass ring. Prices are definitely affordable.

You can hear the crack of the bat and the chatter from the dugout without straining. Baseball as it should be seen. The Delaware River runs right behind the outfield. On hot nights the breeze rolls in off the water. It cools the air, turns the place into something comfortable when the rest of New Jersey is sweating. That is not something you can engineer. That is geography being kind. Parking is easy. Five dollars. Cash only. Plentiful and close. In a world where stadium parking often feels like extortion, this is practically charity. The food is not just food. It is a catalog of local pride. Case's Pork Roll. Killarney's. Rita's Italian Water Ice. Raccoon Saloon. Alongside these sit Colbie's Southern Fried Chicken and Boomer's BBQ. If none of that calls to you there are still the old standards. Hot dogs. Pretzels. Popcorn. Nachos. The ballpark classics are covered. There is even a picnic area down the left field line for groups who want baseball and burgers in equal measure. The ballpark is easy to get to. Right on Route 29 by the riverfront. Quick access to 29, 129, I-195, and I-295. No mazes. No confusion. A night here is affordable, easy, and close to the event in every sense. Five stars.

Our seats in the amphitheater were in section 403 row 3. My husband purchased the tickets. We were pretty dead center. The section isn't close to the stage, but there are two large screens that project live camera footage of the performers on stage. We parked in the non-premier parking lots (no extra charge) where it's about a 12 minute walk to the PNC Banks Arts Center itself. We were fine with the distance. All the vendors from food and drink areas to the merch stations were all friendly and kept it moving. Crowd control was fine overall, but there was some confusion about the lines entering the venue. It wasn't clear right away that there was a non-bag entry line and a bag entry line. A few people were walking to the front to get the the non-bag entry line, and I swear it got a little tense when people who had been waiting started shouting. A staffer in a yellow vest eventually cleared it up, but perhaps more signage would help diffuse any situations like that lol. It was a great concert and fun time at PNC Bank Arts Center!

First off, parking here isn't too bad. I do feel as though the paid parking is pretty expensive, but it's fairly close to the venue. They could make things clearer getting into parking, but besides that it's not too difficult to navigate. At the end of the night, getting out of the venue through the premium parking is fairly easy. After that, the security process is also relatively easy. The security here has been super friendly and quick. I did find it somewhat annoying that on a particular night, they were not clear with directions until the last minute, but besides that I entered security relatively fast. When it comes to navigating to our seats, I have never had an issue. The staff are pretty helpful, and I've never had a bad view from seats as close as the 100s sections to as far as the decks. Food and drink here has become surprisingly good, although it's VERY expensive. I always get the nachos, which are surprisingly tasty and have a nice variety of ingredients. Even the chicken tenders are pretty tasty. The $2 hot dog is a simple, cheap bite that I often can't pass up on. They also carry some unique and yummy pre-packaged food, like the CVT soft-serve ice creams. Lines for food usually move pretty quickly and never get too long! Additionally, the bathrooms are surprisingly clean and there are a ton of stalls. I never have to wait, even during busy times, just because they have SO many stalls and clear vacant/occupied signs. Overall, this venue looks great and has had some excellent improvements in the last few years. While things can be very pricey, I feel like this venue has a lot of excellent features that I have to praise.

Parking for the event was in one section and it was pretty tight but they did have parking assistants directing traffic which was nice. The manner in which the employer tables were arranged around the circular hallway was both smart and cool because job seekers were able to see all employers by simply walking the hallway. The signage for restrooms was confusing as many of them weren't open which was a bit frustrating and it would've been nice if there was a way to purchase or grab bottled water because it was hot inside. The overall experience in / at the arena was pretty middle of the road which is why the rating is 3 stars.

The line to check in at the door is long but moves quickly. They random check people with handbags, especially, big handbags or backpacks at the entry, and that's a bit of a drag in wait line but all others can just walk right inside and scan their tickets. Soon, I'm inside and walked around scoping the area for some quick bite. Like any arenas, food and drinks are ridiculously expensive. I got some crab fries and water. My husband's feelings got hurt when he learned there were no real crabs and it's just seasoned fries with some dipping sauce lol. It was $16 for a 16 ounce cup size. Go figure . The seats were decent with some cushion pad and there's good number of restrooms throughout the facility. Exiting the arena, it's a one way exit to control the traffics and turnpike entrance is right nearby. We will definitely look more concerts here now that we know how convenient it is.

The concept here is cool, and it has gotten slightly better over the years, but they never finished the place, the walkways are a mess and theres not enough nets. Speeding around in golf carts and doing a half butt job. Food is OK, a little pricey but again, its kids taking orders and serving and cooking and they need more training. Egg sandwiches always have shells in them, burgers are so-so, and i'm not sure they change the cooking oil enough. Plus lots of flies. It's just not a welcoming atmosphere. The bag checks and strip searches (exaggerating a little) and not being able to even bring my own coffee just makes me hate coming here. And for heavens sake how about some scoreboards? $10 entry fee and $8 eggshell sandwich and you cant hang scoreboards? I was with my sister and nephew who both come here often so I had zero worries. We parked at a small lot which I think was under a bridge of sorts. It was a great game despite the sweltering heat. We were on the first row, to the side of the goalie, but on the opposite side of the home team where all the fun stuff was happening. I noticed during the halftime show that all the fun activities were happening on the other side. Leaving for us was a breeze since we weren't fighting all the other folks exiting. So many cars were honking at the folks cutting them off. The sun had just set as we walked out of the stadium. What a sight to behold. Getting there early - no ljnes for food/ drink or bathroom but later it was crazy. The stadium was clean and nice The reason for the 3 stars was that the parking situation and leaving was horrendous . I was stuck in the parking lot for over and hour trying to get out . Other than that area is congested so understandable that there was traffic but the parking lots by the stadium are so poorly managed . Parking lot was gravel/ rocks and areas with flood puddles . And One exit out ? Dangerous and horrendous . One of the reasons why I may never come back to this venue unless I figure out another way that is easier to park and leave .
