Raleigh was on top of the logistics, follow-up, and very kind. The younger guy with long hair seemed to have all the right answers. I appreciated the transparency in pricing, soft human touch, & simplicity. Rouse, thank you for taking care of my father!!! (Note: Prior to visiting Rouse, I stopped a different funeral home and the experience was night-and-day in comparison to Rouse. The other funeral home had zero empathy/ emotional intelligence, and they wanted to charge me 2x what Rouse charged.)

Our son Benjamin Weiss was so sick with unknown Mental Health issues he took his own life on 1/14/2022 while home 1 Friday from school. Heart broken we chose a local funeral home in Suffolk, VA. Due to bad customer service, and an outrageous price of $12k we decided to move him to Hertford County Undertakers from the suggestion of our Pastor. When we met with Mrs. Cooper we were angry, and confused. Immediately our nerves were calmed, and were relieved with the price she quoted us. The final price was very reasonable. She never tried taking advantage of us like the other home. The staff was amazing to the receptionist, the driver, Mrs. Taylor and that perfect slideshow of my baby, the guys that dug his whole, the guy that made my baby look like himself, and Mrs. Mildred. After the service she's called to check on us which really made us happy. Last week we were shocked by this beautiful name plate that was on his grave. We are so thankful to Hertford County Undertakers for their perfect professional services. The Weiss Family thank you for your help.

I am greatly…read moredisturbed with the treatment that my family had received since stepping foot inside the funeral home all the way from New York City this past weekend. My grandmother requested that her brother's casket be fully opened. To hear Ms. Owen's say that my uncle is deteriorating and that the bottom half of his casket can not be opened due to his decomposition was mind blowing. The cops were called on my aunt by Ms. Owens. The officer escorted her off of the property all because she wrote a review on Facebook in regards to the treatment being received. Also a podium was requested to place the book for family and friends to sign in on. That was denied. The owner was contacted. Ms. Veronica took it upon herself to come out to the parking lot in a very nasty tone stating " Who Asked For Something To Write On? Where Do You want it at? My Aunt stated " You can Put It Over There! Ms. Veronica responded by stating "No You Go Put It Over There! She then proceeded to walk back inside of the funeral home. I walked over to where she left the podium and it was filthy and disgusting. The owner was contacted again. He arrived and tried his best to situate things but it was already a disaster. He promised that these two ladies would no longer be involved and would not be at the graveside funeral that was being held the next day. He lied. They were there the next day just as if nothing happened. My family was very distraught and does not recommend this funeral home for anyone to have their families home going service if these two ladies are still employed there.
