Problem was, he delegated the case to one of his less than capable underwriters. I understand that he cannot do all the work but when I brought it to his attention half way through the case, nothing was resolved. Once the case was done I brought it to his attention again, after a 20 minute conversation about his underwriters incompetence he replied "well you can take me to court!" They are nice enough people but when the initial meeting was over 4 hours long, I knew this would…read morenot be a good outcome.Not just expensive, but they convinced my mother to go with Joint POA for my sister and I, despite my sister standing up in the meeting and reading a prepared statement of why she would not work with me even if necessary! Sadly my mother had a serious fall a few months later and I could not get straight answers about the parameters of the POA and thus more bills rapidly racked up. The bungling of the situation led to my sister convincing my mother to go to her (my sister's) lawyer less than 6 mos later, and now I have had no contact with my mother for over 3 years because my sister was able to manipulate a vulnerable person to do what she wanted, not what was in my mother's best interest. A joint POA for both property AND personal care, is NOT always in a family's best interest, and AGB ought to have known this. Do NOT use them if you can help it. My faith in them was totally betrayed.
