Upon inquiring, clerk appeared to be doing me favor stating the price. Found the prices thru out the store to be very high. When picking up RX, I asked why the price was so high? (Insurance on file.) I paid the price requested. Staff was clueless as to why the price was higher than another Walgreens. I never had a counseling about my medication by the pharmacist. Your staff appeared unfriendly. Unwilling to help customers. The whole vibe in there was negative. When I come back, and need anything...it will be CVS.

The big drawback was having to walk down the full length of each isle, or store length, just to find mustard or pickle relish, etc. When they opened you could go 1/2 way down each isle to look for things and then cross over, if desired. But I enjoy shopping here when I am in the 24th Street area. It's an alternative to Walmart. The fruits and vegetables are fresh and plentiful. There is a bakery and they sell the pumpernickel-rye swirl bread which is no longer available at Walmart. However, I found the Kroger brand of coffee to be too mild. I tried two "rich" blends with the same results. The Kroger brand of tissues is good and the box contains more tissues than the Kleenex brand. The pharmacy area is plentiful with shampoos and other necessities. The Fry's V.I.P. card provides discounts on some items, but the savings is not very much on singular items. However, senior citizens can get an extra 10-percent off most items on the first Wednesday of the month. The 24th Street store is never overly crowded (not in the mornings). It is nice to shop in a supermarket which is just a basic supermarket -- I do not get distracted by clothing or other temptations such as in Walmart. I just buy my food and go home.

Extremely poor service. Called them about transferring a…read moreprescription. They said it was ready to pick up and we ran by. That had only filled half the prescription. When we asked that is all the prescription was for. We knew that was not right and we made calls to confirm the prescription had the proper amount (this was confirmed) and that the other half could be filled right now. We gave this Walgreens the information and all they did was argue with us - they would not get paid if they gave other half, about how they were "just trying to understand" how it worked, etc. It was at least 20 minutes of us saying look, the transfer had an error can you just make a call. They finally agreed. Another 20 minute wait and we were told that the person they talked to was looking at records from years ago and could it see anything. Save yourself a big hassle. While there can be problems in transfers, they should have offered to double check things instead is arguing for 20 minutes and taking another 20 minutes to make a short phone and not even checking with us to get a current account number looking at account several years old.

She remembered my name after I returned an hour later before I even said who I was. She was friendly, kind and had a smile despite the ridiculous amount of people waiting to be helped. It's a known issue that pharmacies are severely understaffed, so Shakayla having this approach to service in what has to be a thanklessly low paying and stressful job meant that much more. Thank you!!
