I called the Pharmacy at this location simply to find out if a certain prescription I had was covered under my insurance at Walgreens. The response I got was rude and condescending. I was told in a very stern and condescending tone "you have to bring in the prescription so I can scan it, I can't give you that information over the phone, it's a controlled substance honey". And believe me the "honey" was not said in an affectionate.way. Aren't all prescriptions for a controlled substance.....anyway, all I wanted to know is if Walgreens accepted my insurance for this particular medication. I had been to CVS and they didn't but they said Walgreens should. I see the ratings at this particular Walgreens are pretty bad....no wonder! read more

The pharmacist and pharmacy techs are wonderful skilled people. However, they are grossly understaffed. These poor people are working their tails off, getting yelled at by customers all the time for delays, or other various reasons the staff have no control over, all while trying not to make a critical error. The only down part of this Walgreens is the Pharmacy. I called in Yesterday at 5:30pm for some medicine and they told me that in 50mins it would be ready. I have to run some errands and so and went to pick it up at 8:40pm. They told me and they were still working on it, and that I could wait 15 minutes or come back tomorrow... had to wait almost 45 minutes to get the medicine and another 15 minutes because the pharmacist didn't knew how to put in my insurance in the computer/system... Good thing that it's open 24/7 too. In short, don't except for your medicine to be ready on time if planning to have it from here. read more

Worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. I always use Walgreens but this one is awful. They are understaffed and always rushed. The staff is usually miserable. This place is a joke. First time I went in for Benadryl was asked a mad working if he had some in the back since several shelf's in the store were not stocked. The man came back 30 seconds later saying nothing is in the back..... he didn't even check horrible customer service!! Second time I go to this location is for a prescription refill. I never received a text or call like I was told. After 3 hours I tried calling and got nowhere so I went back. I was then told the women didn't put my information in right then waited another 10 min just to get my prescription!!! If I could give zero stars I would in a heartbeat. I live in Parker CO. My nineteen year old son goes to school in Elmhurst IL. On Sunday, September 16, my son contacted me saying he felt ill and needed to see a doctor. I had already looked up clinics closest to him and directed him to the Walgreens at 200 East Roosevelt. Upon arriving they didn't believe he had insurance even though he had a picture of both the front and back of his insurance card. A quick search would've proved he had insurance. They then said they didn't believe he was over the age of eighteen even though he had his Colorado issued drivers license. They then said they were going on break and could possibly help him when they returned. He called me from his car crying because he felt so terrible. I then sent him to CVS who were able to see him right away and diagnose him with strep throat. Imagine being in a different state than your child and they are feeling horrible and you can't be there yourself to help so you send him to a clinic that we have trusted in the past in Colorado and have them treat your child so poorly. I will never shop in your store again and needless to say will never use one of your clinics in the future. read more

I used to really have good experiences here, I always thought the place was clean and stocked and the pharmacists were always friendly, helpful and never condescending. If I gave a review of the store a year ago, it would have been a four or five. But be forewarned, something has changed with this Walgreens. The past three times I have gone have been pretty bad experiences. Everyone is entitled to have a bad day, but there is one pharmacist in particular who is very rude and makes you seem like an annoyance. This person doesn't need to be named but she knows who she is. The other pharmacists and employees at least try to be courteous but are obviously over stressed. This is how mistakes are made and that is my fear with this Walgreens. I need to be able to trust the pharmacist and be able to have a conversation with if needed. Its too bad, for they will lose business unless attempts are made to be a little more customer friendly like they used to be just a short time ago. Considering the thousands of dollars I have spent here over the years, this has obviously bothered me enough to write this review. It seems to be happening more and more lately, rude and patronizing service at various business places in the area. And I know it works both ways, there are enough customers who act pretty badly and are very demanding. I do not think I provoked a negative attitude, I go out of my way to always be respectful and only ask for the same respect in return. I'll give the place a couple more chances but am very close to taking my business and cash elsewhere. I also have realized that I need to review a couple other local places that are really great places. I will try not to just rate the bad ones. Can someone please explain why every time I come to this location they never have my prescription ready. Then when it is ready they tell me there is an insurance issue. Then when the insurance issue is fixed my coupon, which I've used at other locations, won't work here. I've made the mistake once again of sending my prescription to this location. Absolutely ridiculous that they can't get it straight here. I asked the guy working the counter if he can look up what I've paid in the past. He looks it up and at the elmhurst location it's $10 every time. Huh why are you charging me $100....blank stare ummm they're working on it. Forehead slap. I am not sure what is going on with this Walgreens Pharmacy, but we always have a problem picking up my daughter's prescriptions. Luckily, we only have to use them when she is home from school. Not only is there always a problem, but the people working there have little customer service skills or any sense of urgency to resolve any problems. We have learned our lesson and we call before we pick up. Last month we were told that the prescription was ready to be picked up. When we arrived at the drive-thru the said it wasn't ready and we had to wait. They also could not explain why we were told it was ready and the blame was placed on someone who had " already left for the evening". This is only ONE of numerous incidents at this Walgreens. Today we had even more issues. We asked them to please call us if there was a problem filling the prescription because the doctor had to write it for 3 months because my daughter will be traveling abroad. We already cleared this with the insurance company. Today, we go online and see that the prescription is still pending, but no one has tried to contact us. As soon as we called, someone in the pharmacy said they were filling it right now. ??? So, we're not quite sure what the problem was. They probably saw the note written on the prescription that we needed to pick up the script on Tuesday and that we always have problems. So frustrating. read more

Sorry Walgreens, this review is about the Advocate Clinic at your location. I showed up at 9:08 AM (when they opened at 9 AM) and was the only person to sign in for an appointment at that time. The wait time was stated to be 25 minutes, despite me being the only one there. Seating for the clinic was not clearly labeled, as there was a space with chairs in front of the pharmacy and a room to the side of the advocate clinic. I chose the room closest to the clinic, thinking if I heard my name called it didn't matter where I sat. Well, 50 minutes later I finally got up and looked around for someone to help me. The woman working at the clinic told me I was actually in the pharmacy section so she hadn't bothered to ask if I was the person waiting. Let's review... I was the ONLY person there. Both in the pharmacy and the clinic, however you want to view it. And let's be real, a Walgreens is not that big. Literally one corner of the store is shared by pharmacy, advocate care, and an optical department. When I finally got a hold of the advocate staff they basically blamed me for not knowing where to sit and I still waited an additional 25 minutes before seeing a professional, despite there only being one other patient (who was also waiting). This place is horrible for service and I won't be coming back. read more

My prescriptions were transferred to here when Dominick's left town. I has been mostly a victimizing experience from the first renewal in January 2014 and conyinues till today. Slow and stop are the two speeds they know. I have been lied to instead of seeking better information. My most recent renewal which required physician approval was phoned in 9/7/14 and upon arrival for pickup on 9/12 only one of the prescriptions was ready. I was told by the dtive up attendant that my doctore refused renewal without a personal appointment. LIE! I called my doctor personally on 9/15 and the assistant took my request and called in the renewal. Tonight 9/17 the pharmacy claims one of the meds was not renewed. Walgreens is a pharmacy first and foremost and this type of repeat process is ancient and easier. Yet they fail consistantly. If you can go elsewhere you should. read more
