Absolutely the worst pharmacy in Tyler. Mistakenly cancelled a medication my disabled veteran husband badly needed. Then said it wouldn't be ready for three days even though it was on stock and the mistake was their technician's fault. Transferred it to Drug Emporium who had it ready in an hour. read more

I just move from another state to Tyler...so I have a disabled child that has been approved for state benefits & every time I talked to the pharmacy about his medication that were 1) rude 2) told me that these benefits did not exist 3) I had to wait until the 1st of the upcoming month which was 2weeks away...4) when the 1st came around then they want to tell me I had to have a prior authorization because these benefits don't exist with their rude attitude... I finally got some medicine after I asked for a manager & paid out of pocket for one prescription. I am so sick of people treating us like crap because we have state benefits.... read more

I have 2 complaints. one my husband went to pick up prescriptions and they had two of the three ready and said they were working on the third one. We waited half the day for him to go back and rude and say oh this is over-the-counter. why could they have not told him the first time he was there! 2nd complaint why are they saving my husbands debit card on my grand child's account when NO ONE authorized it. I don't mind paying for the medicine but I have never heard of the saving a card on file. seems illegal to me. my son in law picked up a medicine and they charged it to our card!!!! no wonder they are going out of business. try getting a hold of someone is i oh not possible ! read more

If I could select 0 stars I would. Unorganized, slow, and careless. I called and asked if my prescription was ready and they told me it was. So I go up there not 30 minutes later to wait in line for 45 minutes for them to tell me they don't know what happened but they have nothing for me. RIDICULOUS AND CARELESS. Absolutely frustrating to have to wait so long only to be totally disappointed by the service. read more

Literally the worst trashiest Walgreens I've visited. It took an hour and a half to fill a prescription for eye drops. When I called to ask they put me on hold for over a half hour. When I went in to ask they told me it would be ready in twenty more minutes. Next time I'll go elsewhere. read more

Understaffed, overburdened and in totes pilled up on each other, the tecs where digging through totes to find people's scripts... lots of pissed of customers tonight. We submitted a script a 2pm and they were not ready at 7:30pm, showed back up at 9pm for a 20 minute search for a script... I would hate to work here. read more

I have been getting pictures and canvas photos, and multiple items at this Walgreens for over 15 years... Yes they are always busy at Christmas time, but the staff if usually very helpful and kind. But that is not the case this year. The staff at this particular Walgreens in Tyler Texas in the photo department are very rude and will NOT even try to help the customer when there is a problem. They want to blame everything on the computer system and not take responsibility for not having the materials available for what you order online. Then they send you a text message saying your order is ready - but in fact it is not and they will have to order the supplies they need to complete it. There are several other Walgreens stores in Tyler. I would suggest if you want kind, friendly staff and good service go to another store. Merry Christmas read more

I scheduled an early renewal using the app but received no follow-up from Walgreens. I called in my renewal and was told 90 minutes till pickup but when I went in, the order couldn't be found; nothing had happened. Victoria, to the rescue. Though it was time for the pharmacy lunch break, she filled the order, brought it out to me, and processed my credit card. A perfect execution of problem solving. Thank you kindly, Victoria. My husband has a severe medical issue. The kind that had him having to be put into a medically induced coma for a week and a half and spend weeks in the ICU. His life depends on his medicine (no exaggeration) that they painstakingly adjusted and readjusted. When he first got out of the hospital, he still had health insurance, so we were picking up from our normal pharmacy. Once he lost his health insurance, we were forced to switch to Walgreens to be able to afford it. This is where the trouble started. From the moment we swapped over, there was a problem EVERY time we had to pick it up. The first time, we were told that it would be TWO DAYS before they could fill it. I explained the situation and sat in their store for two hours while they filled it. At this same visit, they told me that the generic brand was no longer available, and that the name brand would cost $1,200 for one month supply. I bought two pills of it (Only about $100) to hold us over until we could talk with his doctor about options. When I did speak with her, his doctor told me that the generic brand WAS available. When I went back, they told me they couldn't get the generic brand in (change of story from what the pharmacist had told me two days prior) until two more days and that they didn't have any more of the name brand. I told them the bottle that they had opened should still be there, because the pharmacist had told me the last time that they wouldn't be able to fill a prescription with an already opened bottle. They looked around for TWENTY MINUTES before finding it in a drawer nowhere near where the medications are kept. Please note that this medication is a controlled substance that I have to give my ID to pick up even two pills. They then took another HOUR to get two more pills filled to hold us over until they could get the generic brand. The next time I went, they let me know that the generic brand had NEVER BEEN ORDERED. That they couldn't get it in for another two days. I waited for over an hour again to pick up two more pills. At which time they call me up and tell me that they found the bottle of the generic brand that had been ordered at my last visit. Where was it this time? No one could answer this question, or any of my other questions any other time I went. When my husband went to pick up his medication this month, they sent him home with FOUR BOTTLES (270 pills) of one prescription and completely forgot the other. When we did pick up the other one later that day, they sent me home with a GIANT unopened bottle and another bottle (720 pills). These are three months worth of prescriptions. I am over Walgreens and dealing with the excessive waits, the loss of prescriptions until they find them in questionable locations and them telling lies about not having access to the generic brand until after I pay about ten times the amount for name brand when I'm already struggling to pay for groceries. It's obnoxious and somewhat criminal in my opinion. WALGREENS, DO BETTER! read more

Yet again they lost my 2 prescriptions after my Dr called 3 times. Do not use them. Walmart filled it in 10 minutes.

This place needs to rot into the ground, the Pharmacy clerk was atrocious while trying to pick up my prescription. They were 45 minutes late on filling my prescription and they had not even started on it once I got into the store to pick it up. This place needs to shut down, or fire everyone that works here and get a whole new staff. read more

Crap "customer service" in the pharmacy. Unfortunately during an emergency on the weekend, our usual pharmacy was closed. As I was trying to figure out why they're not taking our insurance, alleging we have none, i went out to my car. I rarely leave a one-star review but I will now. I have had nothing but problems at this location. When I first came, they lazily created a new account for me even though I already had one, which obviously inevitably caused problems. I tried to get a prescription today, and they had a wait time of one hour! Yikes! Over an hour later, they couldn't even fill it because of a problem with my health insurance. She said she would call me when it was resolved, but no one ever did. I finally called and they explained they could not fill it with my insurance, which makes no sense. Regardless, at that point, my options were 1) fuss with my government health insurance, which I know would take days or weeks, 2) buy the prescription at the cash price of $35 or 3) get the prescription at Walmart instead for $4. Duh, I'm going to Walmart. Why is Walgreens so overpriced??? Besides, I need this prescription TOMORROW. But of course, because Walgreens neglected to call me, now it's late and the Walmart pharmacy is closed so I'll have to get it tomorrow, on a Sunday, which is a day I hold sacred and do not run errands on. I have wasted so much time and patience today because of the incompetence at this location. You earned your one star. Update: I couldn't get my other prescription either because they randomly decided to request a 90-day supply instead of a 30-day supply and my health insurance rejected it. I spent 45 minutes calling back and forth between health insurance and Walgreens clearing up this error, most of which was spent on hold listening to Walgreen's stupid hold music and ads. My wife and I have been using this Walgreens for quite a while. We began using this particular Walgreens because of the customer service originally. Even though it's location is nowhere near convenient for us. We might be done here. The reactions we received in the pharmacy department tonight were very disappointing. I had ordered a prescription and had evidence of it on the app on my phone. The attendant looked at me several times as though I were from a different planet. She clearly thought I was out of my mind...even though I had called in my prescription and received confirmation via email and text. My wife asked the pharmacist for assistance on over-the-counter medication for one of her children. The pharmacist had a suggestion and gave us a general description as to where this item might be in the store. We had a stocking clerk helping us for quite a few minutes and found nothing. Finally, the pharmacist came out and it took her all of 15 seconds to find the item. Hope this place returns to the great customer service we started going there for in the first place. read more

This has been my pharmacy since moving to Tyler in 2004, but no longer. The service I received last Saturday was atrocious and then today they called and were rude that I had not picked up my prescription - the one that I waited 25 minutes to try to pick up Saturday when they wouldn't honor the coupon I had after telling me on the phone to just bring it up there. I told them then never mind I'd go somewhere else, but evidently they screwed that up too. I've had things go wrong there over the years but was always forgiving, but I'm done. The guy Saturday left me and seven other cars waiting for over 20 minutes and then told me I'd have to pay 3x the coupon price for my meds even though he was who I spoke to on the phone that said they would honor it if I brought it and showed them. No thanks. I was in and out of Brookshire's pharmacy for $4 less than the coupon price and they were friendly! Customer service matters - always. read more

I don't understand why they can't have scripts refilled automatically (I only have two scripts with them.) Over the last 18 months, I've probably asked at least eight times. They always say they will, but rarely do. I'm leaving early in the morning going for out of town, and now trying to get something refilled that I just ran out of. This is a typical Walgreen's. It's around the corner from my mom's house in Tyler. I normally have at least one visit here during my stays in Tyler. They offer tourists type products, the usual grocery products and a pharmacy. It's been several years that I've had to get a prescription filled so I can't review the pharmacy itself. The pharmacist named Martin is a pathetic excuse of a human being. I listened in anger as he yelled at my disabled 67 year old father over the phone. My father had a question about how to take a new heart medication because the directions were not clear on the bottle. Martin kept yelling ( yes yelled, I could hear from across the room ) at my father that he didn't have time for this and hung up on him. That is no way to treat another person. If Martin is too busy to do his job then maybe he needs to find another less demanding profession. read more

Really liked that it's open 24 hours, my dad was discharged from the hospital at 9pm and we had to get his prescriptions filled and they were the only pharmacy in town open. They had fast service getting us in and out when all we wanted to do was be home. The pharmacist told us about some interactions to watch out for so the medicine would work better, really appreciated that. The store seemed a bit older but overall pretty clean. We didn't buy anything over the counter so I can't really comment on that part of the store but if you need a prescription filled this is the place to come! read more

BEWARE OF THIS PHARMACY!!! I just picked up a prescription for a friend. When I delivered it my friend was shocked to find Wahlgreen's had charged me more than 3 times the price charged at other pharmacies. $250 vs $78. 3 times as much!!! When I tried to return it within the hour they refused to take it back and refused to price match. The pharmacist said "Too bad, you leave the counter with it, it's yours." These greedy bastards are knowingly ripping off sick people!!! read more
