I had state volleyball coming up, which you can't plan for because you don't know you if you go until you win. I had to work a couple of shifts the week of the tournament and I let them know I could not make it. Instead of being considerate and working with my schedule they told me I had a prior commitment and had to show up for my shifts, now why was it so important that I showed up instead or getting your other millions of unnecessary workers to help out? They then continued to tell me that if I didn't show up to never bother showing up again and I did just that because I hated that place. After my week of volleyball, they continued to call and harass me AFTER telling me to never bother showing up for a shift again. I eventually removed myself from the workers facebook page, blocked their number and email page and moved on with my life to find the best job I ever had afterwards. If you're planning on working here, DO NOT!!! Also, throughout my shifts they would send me the schedules via email and they were always wrong. I would get yelled at and scolded for not showing up to a shift that wasn't on the shift they would send me, they never would own up to their mistakes. Overall my working experience here was just was miserable. Mind you I was 16 at the time so this was traumatic to me, so if you're young please save yourself and do not work here, i'm also not the only one with this experience!

Not only was he very professional and kind, he was a wizard. It only took him all of 10 minutes to assess the issue and get me on my way. 10/10 for Ash and his seemingly endless vat of computer knowledge. I came into Best Buy stressed and worried with a useless pile of metal, and left with a smile and a computer working like new!

One of the few anchor-stores left to the Southern Hills Mall. They didn't have their doors open…read moregoing into the mall right away once allowed to open 'post-Covid.' (They do now.) They are requiring masks. (Obv I'm writing this during Covid, but I know this location well. I didn't base my Stars off their Covid rules.) The hours differ from the mall's somewhat, which is great. They actually stay open an hour or two later on Sundays. They've also done several events for book releases and have had theme nights. (I've personally participated in some Harry Potter cosplay!) This location doesn't have much for seating like I've seen other B&N's do. The kids' area is fantastic. They do readings every so often. The bathroom has ALWAYS been a nightmare. Maybe all the mall people use it thinking it's going to cleaner than the food courts'? It's a mess. Every time. Has a Starbucks and some tables. Full Starbucks menu. But no online ordering or can't use Starbucks gift cards. Which I think is odd, but must be the rules when a location is inside another business. They have two spots for registers but they're never both 'open.' SEVERAL times I've gone to one side of the store hoping to pay to having to turn around and go to the other side. I get not having all 8 registers open...but why not at least 1 per side? Music area is small and kinda lacking, IMO. But that's me. (I think this location is smaller than the average store size. At least seems like it.) It's honestly the only place in town to buy books minus a Target or Walmart. There may still be one more store WAY across town selling books, but I can't remember if they're still operating.

However, as of 2019, that is no longer the case. At the time, Best Buy had the Blu-ray of The Big Bang Theory on sale for only $14.99, but the Best Buy, Target, and Walmart stores nearby did not have it. Barnes and Noble did have it and that is the reason why I went to the store to try to price-match. It wasn't that the store would not do a price-match of that caliber (we're talking a discount of about $35-40), it's that they flat-out​ do not price-match anymore. As a member, this is deeply insulting, not to mention that price-matching should be a basic practice of any business in 2019. Even if you are not making the same amount of money or even half of that, it is sure better than doing nothing for your customers. If you're looking to buy movies and TV show seasons here, I would not recommend it. They are very overpriced. However, if you are looking to buy books, by all means, go for it! You see, I do like the store, setup, and the Barnes and Noble Cafe. It is the "anti-price-matching" that I am against. I should also point out that this store does accept Apple Pay now, so that is a big plus too!

I also don't use Target much for household items (laundry soap, toothpaste, toilet paper, etc.) because I have a Dollar General in walking distance from my home. I do like Target's home decor and seasonal wares as well. I typically do all of my 'back to school' shopping there. Today I shopped for a swimsuit. I found bottoms very easily but it took me awhile to find a top. Had nothing to do with Target, but with me being picky and trying to figure out sizes for my 'new body.' (I haven't shopped since my 230lbs weight loss.) The women who assisted me in the dressing rooms were great. Place was clean, organized, busy but was operated smoothly. The swimsuit area you could tell has been very heavily shopped lately but there was an employee working really hard to keep it clean and organized. She greeted me and was very nice. I wasn't able to find the gift now I wanted to. The shelves in the gift bag area were really bare. That was a little frustrating, but I just bought a roll of ribbon I can use more than once. The dollar section was GREAT to me today! The store was really busy for a Monday afternoon and only 2 check-out lanes were open. I seriously waited for over 10 minutes until someone opened an additional lane. Finally. That employee was super nice and very quick. I thought about 4 stars, but the place always satisfies me so 5 stars it gets. This location also has the small cafe AND a Starbucks!
