Pharmacy must be extremely understaffed. Wait times at drive through window 20+ minutes.At times, one has to wait 15 minutes for someone to even show up at the window. Inside lines at pharmacy counter are half way down the store aisle. I made two trips to pick up an Rx that is ready but couldn't get anyone to serve me. read more

Do not even attempt to get a prescription filled here. It would be more timely to call in your prescription to the next state over and travel there by horseback. Whatever time they tell you, add 6 hours. Worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with in my life. They have never gotten a prescription done on time. They do not answer the phones. The manager was incredibly rude. I asked her if she or one of the employees could help me and jump my dead truck. (There was no one else there). She gave me a disgusting look and told me that she has a Mercedes and will not jump my truck. She then told me she doesn't have time for me and dismissed me. DO NOT go to this Walgreens. By far the worst customer service I have ever seen. I ordered thank you card from the photo area they were printed on the wrong type of paper, not only were they not willing to re-print them on the correct paper. Never have Coke products in stock, for example today they had seven cherry cokes in the whole store. Super busy with about 10 people in line and only one person checking out. Couple of other employees just wandering around aimlessly not stocking and certainly not helping customers! Can't find a Walgreens that has adequate service or stock. read more

The employees are all very nice here and helpful when you have questions. This place seemed to have a decent grocery section. I got my passport photos done here, which were admittedly pricey but I didn't really feel like worrying about whether I could make my own photos the right size, the right lighting, etc. read more

After lunch, Miss C. and I ran errands at Walgreen's. This seems to be a bigger store than other Walgreen's I've patronized. Signs were clear and visible. The pharmacy was abuzz. She found what she needed, and all of it was buy 1/get 1 free or buy 1/get 1 50% off. Great bargains. All the shelves were well-stocked, and I always like to see what "As seen on TV" merchandise they have available. In the pill areas, which is quite a bit of shelving, each shelf had its own lighting, which made it quite easy to find what you needed. And their shopping baskets have both handles and wheels, so you can load up and not break your arm getting to checkout. Checkout was a bit backed up, so another clerk motioned us over to her register, and we got out much quicker. She was very friendly. The free Balance Rewards program is really quite valuable. Points add up quickly and before you know it, you've got a $5 savings. read more

I am a physician who went into the store to get a couple of items. The store has a request for "social distancing", as it should, but the cashiers were not wearing masks nor gloves. The distance between the customer checking out, and the cashier, was maybe two feet. I was wearing a mask--I take care of patients, both in and out patient, and I'm trying to keep myself and others safe. I asked the cashier to please use hand sanitizer before touching my purchases. She refused, but said she would put on gloves. I pointed out that she would be touching the gloves without first cleaning her hands. She refused to use hand sanitizer and said I didn't have to check out if I didn't want to. I left without my purchases. Walgreens is a pharmacy. The rules in their stores should be following CDC guidelines during this crisis. Walgreens needs to take better care of their employees (who do not have the protection they need) and their customers. I will recommend to my patients that they fill their prescriptions elsewhere. read more

Nick was profiled at Walgreens again. this time around the corner from our home. Last year on Valentine's Day it happened in Chesterfield to him and several of his friends. Just like then, he was harassed as soon as he walked in the store. The manager asked him if something was wrong before he even got to the aisles. He picked out his candy and when he went to pay, the same manager approached him and told him that he wasn't paying for everything he picked up. He asked her to repeat herself and she did. He asked her why she would say that to him. She said someone saw him put something in his pocket. He showed her his pocket contents to which she had no response. He left the store and called me when he got home. He seemed upset when he called so I actually thought he had an accident as the weather is bad and he's only been driving a few weeks by himself. I called the store right away and asked for the MOD. Of course, it was her. I got her name and the store information and told her that she harassed my son. She admitted she approached him when he walked into the store but argued that it wasn't immediately. Her greeting was still intended to intimidate and not welcome. She explained that she approached him because another customer told her he put something in his pocket. (It is not appropriate for staff to approach a customer based on what another customer says about shoplifting-that's what cameras are for. She admitted that she even looked at his pocket and saw his phone but decided to confront him anyway. Again, not protocol. This is harassment. She said she didn't feel she profiled him because there's always a few bad apples. I asked her what about my son made her decided he might be one and I told her that was the essence of profiling. He'd done nothing wrong but she assumed another stranger (who could have been creating a distraction so he could steal) was honest and correct and my son was a thief. I asked her if she would like to be harassed every time she walked into a store because of her skin color. She said she didn't mean it and I told her she needed counseling. Then I called corporate and filed a formal complaint. During that phone call during which I was told (just as last February) that there a few bad apples that make it bad for everyone. I told the representative that her choice of words was interesting as it was the same as the store. That made me think that despite what she said and what I was repeatedly told last year, this is a corporate sentiment and action needs to be taken to change that. I live in St. Louis and this is very scary because this is black children get killed. People in the stores need to be especially careful not to make the situation worse. I'm waiting for store management to call me. I went to the store to take a picture so I could put the racist on social media but she went home early. This is one of the worst organized Walgreens in the St. Louis area. Nothing makes sense, nothing can be found, not even a sympathy card! The candy section is a row of seasonal stuff and extremely limited. I can never find anything that I'm looking for, NOTHING. It's the worst of the worst of the worst. It's clean and that's about all I can say about it. I can find most things here at my Walmart, so I'd rather stand in line for an hour than go here. Plus, the employees are weirder than anything. Where did Walgreens find these employees? What were their qualifications? Be mean and don't care? No one greets you no one cares to greet you, it's too much work for them. Is this a Walgreens? The same Walgreens located in Deerfield, Illinois? Where other Walgreens has really wonderful employees? The managers are strange, the employees are strange and non helpful. That's probably why the employees don't care, the manager doesn't care and it's a trickle down effect. The manager is a reflection of the work ethics of the employees, don't care, don't work, who cares, I will get my paycheck and that's it. One employee argued with me about my points saying, "That's what the screen says!" instead of explaining what was going on. I can read the screen, but why is it reading the SALE INCORRECTLY? That was HER JOB TO EXPLAIN TO ME, NOT SHOW ME THE DAMN SCREEN! Non helpful, rolling eyes and sighing when there is a problem. And just staring at me as if I can read signals. Very non communicative is this Walgreens. Weird, weird, weird. From Mars and not from Earth. I resigned to NEVER EVER GO TO THIS STORE FOR ANYTHING EVEN IF MY LIFE DEPENDED UPON IT. Nothing makes sense, can't find anything (merchandiser needs to be replaced, sucks!), non helpful strange, mean employees who act like they don't have to help the customers and they NEVER ask to cash in your points, EVER and they argue with you because they don't want to help you! This Walgreens has more items than your typical Walgreens. In addition to the traditional drug store items, it also has some grocery store items as well, making this store a nice stop for those times when a grocery store run is not convenient. It even has some basic hardware items. The staff is friendly. All in all, your better than average Walgreens. read more
