The condition of this Walgreens is unacceptable. The inside of the store could be much cleaner, and the outside is consistently covered in trash. Walgreens should be ashamed to have a location in this state--especially as a company that sells health‑related products. A store focused on health should be kept pristine, not neglected. Every time it comes due for me to pick up my insulin they're out of it. They cannot keep it in stock and then there is no one to manage the area. The pharmacist is too busy to talk to you on the phone or barely get to you if you walk in And sometimes the employees don't express to you that they're behind our will get to you soon, basically just common courtesy. Let me know after 25 minutes that you'll be with me soon. It's pretty sad. And could also stop an issue from developing by simply letting people know. The staff go through a lot at Walgreens. They do work hard, but it's just sad that a company doesn't help them. I hope they get paid a lot of money. They are true soldiers, but not being able to get my insulin is very stressful. I mean I'm going three days without any insulin a month and a half ago. It was a week. I'm so sick. read more

I hate writing bad reviewed...hate it. That being said, this is the single worst Walgreens I've ever used. They regularly mix up refill prescriptions and lose entire prescriptions. If you try to call in, your wait time will be a minimum of 30 minutes. I've recently had to hang up and go in person after being on hold twice for over an hour. On top of that, the staff's attitude is one of laziness and "not my problem". Walgreens isn't a bad chain. This Walgreens is a bad store, though. Don't waste your time. read more

This is my local Walgreens and I use it for the pharmacy. I would not come here for anything else unless you could not get to one of the local grocery or supermarkets; food, skincare, sunscreen, etc are much more expensive here. Even the over the counter treatments like Tylenol or Allegra are more expensive! The pharmacy is hit or miss as far as speed. Most of the time I have to wait a bit in line but my medication is always ready once I am helped. I did recently go in on a Saturday morning only to have the pharmacy staff be an hour late for their shifts. This was a known delay they had but was not advertised anywhere and when we asked some of the other workers they let us know that they would be in but not when they would be in. read more

Not sure what has happened to the Pharmacy at this location, but absolutely ridiculous. I have gone here for years for my prescriptions and never a problem. Over the past 6 months they NEVER have them ready on time, and keep telling me to come back the following day at 10am and still not ready. I've currently been waiting for 5 days on my most recent and nothing. Save yourself the trouble and find yourself a different location if in need of medicine. read more

This Walgreens is disappointing. I was so excited that they had this product that most stores don't carry and there was one left. I went to scan it and it wasn't scanning the manager came over and took it. They looked for where it is off the shelf and couldn't find it so they didn't let me buy it. This review is for the pharmacy. Maureen and the pharmacist who administers shots were amazing. What was not amazing was the fact that the stupid website made me fill out a billion questions for my daughter to get the covid and flu shot and not a single item of it could be accessed by the people here. Save yourself time and just walk in for vaccines. But the pharmacist was wonderful, she's actually works at children's, so she was great w my daughter. Highly recommend. read more

In general Walgreens is pretty convenient. Once upon a time I used to get my kids sports physicals here. That doesn't exist anymore. Lately I've been in need of the pharmacy (this has been my main pharmacy for forever). But it seems like it's been closed at the most odd hours. This has become more of an inconvenient store now. Always terrible...lines both inside and out, about three techs in the pharmacy. Tried to get my rx delivered. Nope they cancelled it and told me to come in and pick it up and my total order wasn't ready so I would have to make another trip. Cancelled my order. Then they said that they lost my refills so I had to contact my doctor to get my heart meds resubmitted. They never are able to reach my doctors even though I am which also holds things up. Again delivery cancelled and told to pick it up and my order is not complete. Asked on the Walgreens chat if I could transfer to another pharmacy. Nope I have to go in and transfer. Called the pharmacy at the hospital I work at and they told me that Walgreens had to call to transfer. Tried to call the Walgreens and was on hold for 30 minutes to see about transferring rx. Had to drive to Walgreens to transfer and arguments with not one but two techs who said that the other pharmacy has to call. Finally the real pharmacist took info to transfer. I do not understand why the two pharmacy techs were worried about me talking to the pharmacist who was taking care of my rx when there was a line of people behind me. read more

I end up going to this Walgreens more then the one close to my home. Why? It is so easy to stop by on my way home from work. It is conveniently located on Lafayette making it so simple to shop and then get on 55 South or 44 West, which ever one takes you home. This holiday season, this Walgreens saved me $'s on my gift wrapping. Every year I get my cousins (7) a themed gift. It's kind of a joke and kind of a semi-serious gift. It is more about the fun and laughs then the actual gift. With that being said, I don't want to spend a lot of money on the packaging aka gift wrapping. They all have to open them at the same time, and each of the gifts is selected to fit their individual personalities. This year the gift was themed socks. So I just needed a small gift bag. I searched at various other stores similar to, Tuesday Morning, TJ Maxx, etc,etc....with no luck. Then one day before Ho Ho was to arrive, I was in this Walgreens and walked down their Christmas aisle. To my surprise I found the perfect little holiday sack and it was on sale for only 29¢. What a steal, I mean deal. I sheet of tissue paper and these little sacks made for the perfect wrapping. Besides making my holidays bright, I want to give a shout out to the staff at this location. Some may say it is located on an edgy part of town, but I'd say the customer service here is some of the best of the Walgreens I shop. They always make me feel welcomed. Keep up the good work. They ask me a few simple insurance questions and I take a seat to wait. 45 minutes later they call my name to fill out the same questions on a piece of paper ... The guy who arrived 10 minutes after me gets up to ask how much longer it'll be so only then do the 3 pharmacists say oh sorry we'll be right with you. I have been coming to this Walgreens for years since it was in the neighborhood. The pharmacy staff keeps getting worse and worse. Today the woman working was outright rude when I told her that there was a mistake. I now have to make another trip to this place and waste more of my time. Staffing isn't their problem. It's utilizing their available resources appropriately. They're usually OK... Meaning sometimes they take care of their checkout and sometimes they don't. My qualm is that over the last few months, they have one underage kid behind the counter while adults are stocking or in the the back. If you need alcohol or tobacco, GFL... The kids do just fine, the problem is they can't sell everything. Then they set there and page an adult to help for several minutes while you just set there. I will leave my sh*t on the counter if you can't get an adult to check me out with in a few minutes. I've sat up there and waited 20 minutes before... While a crowd of people gathered trying to buy stuff a kid can't sell... While anyone else skips right by us. Again, it's not a staffing issue. It's poor management that doesn't understand how implement the resources they have available. Have your kids stocking and doing stuff in the back. Have an adult at the counter. Frequent issues with the pharmacy. Missing prescriptions, prescriptions not filled on time, very long wait times at the drive through, very long wait times when trying to call. Dealing with them is always an ordeal. Be prepared to spend a good part of your morning/day just trying to get ahold of them. Just look at the other reviews here. This Walgreens as a whole hole is fine in a pinch. Often the shelves are very bare and look ransacked. The pharmacy department is terrible. I won't be using this place to fill a prescription ever again. There was no line and the pharmacy was not busy, yet I still had to go stand off to the side and wait 35 minutes for a tube of skin cream. WORST WALGREENS EVER!! I will be transferring my prescriptions from this pharmacy to any other pharmacy. This place truly SUCKS! Great and prompt service. I had a Teladoc appointment at 7:45 am today and they sent 3 prescriptions over to Walgreens. By 9:23 am they were filled and ready for pick up! The drive thru was easy and quick. read more

Convenient last minute shopping when needed. This is my "go-to" spot when I forget an item or 2 at other stores. I've gone in for snacks, drinks, crafts, medicine, etc. They always seem to have what I need when I need it! Walgreens never disappoints me. Here's my experience from the past hour on a Wednesday afternoon. I was in line checking out purchasing aspirin, among other things. I witnessed a male manager approach the two cashiers and say something to the effect of "Hey ladies, I'm heading out for a little while, I'll be back." He does not give a reason as to why he's leaving. My cashier grimaces and nods, clearly unhappy about this. He walks out towards his silver car across the parking lot. There's a line of people behind me. I'm still at the counter. My cashier throws up her hands, starts to walk off away from her station and frantically announces "I'm clocking out. I'll be back." She's 100% obviously mocking this manager who had just left. She goes back to checking people out. I drove home and returned approximately 30 min later, as I had purchased the wrong kind of aspirin. I approach the pharmacy and ask a question about the aspirin I need to buy, and then ask if I can return the incorrect one for a refund. They say yes. They attempt to scan the receipt, then type in the numbers from the barcode, and it still won't let them return this aspirin I had just purchased 30 min prior. They say they can't do anything about this, and say they have to "page the manager to come back to the store." Presumably, this was same manager who'd just walked out for an errand while I was in line the first time. Apparently, he's still MIA. And apparently no one else in the building has the means or power to return a 3.29 bottle of aspirin. I ask how long it'll be til he gets back. Wide-eyed, they shrug: "We don't know, we just paged him." Barely a "sorry" is mumbled in my direction. So, I pay for the correct bottle of aspirin and tell them I'll just return the other one later, since I can't wait around. I needed the bigger-dose aspirin for my husband recovering from surgery and couldn't muster the patience to wait on this manager the employees can't get a hold of for a 3 dollar return. Ridiculously all-around unprofessional and throughly annoying experience. I only go to this Walgreens because it's the only one close in the area, especially now that the one in Tower Grove has relocated. I've frequently witnessed less than great behavior from the patrons AND the employees of this store since moving to the area a few years ago, and I always leave wishing there was a better option available in the neighborhood. read more

I pick up 2 prescriptions monthly and it never fails. It gets delayed for unknown reason. "Please contact pharmacy." You have to go through a dozen automated prompts just to end up getting no where. What's the point of an online refill system if it doesn't speed up the process whatsoever. I was in the area lunching, and my dining partner needed a few things from "the store with more!" This is a nice, clean store with plenty of parking. It seems new. Because my friend was running the errands, my shopping was wandering around looking at all the "stuff." And Walgreens sure does have "stuff"!! It's absolutely amazing how you can find things you NEVER knew you needed. And there it is . . . right there with all the "stuff" at Walgreens! I found Pepsi products 12-packs 4/$10, which was a tremendous deal, but you had to have a "card" to get that price . . . whatever that "card" is. There were lots of sales on food products, shampoos and other personal care products -- sales all clearly marked! And I found some MiO, Kraft's new liquid water enhancer, in various flavors. It may just replace the no-calorie powdered drink mix I use. I got black cherry (but that one has caffeine, so watch out!). The clerk was ultra friendly, helping my friend (who was using a cane) get her bags situated in the cart. read more

Time to change pharmacies! Terrible service the last 2 visits. People working the window were great. Pharmacist? Don't say when the pick up time will be if it won't be honored (waited 2 extra hours). Don't say "I'm filling it now" then 20 minutes later "oh, we don't have that". Don't say you called the doctor's office when you didn't. Don't flippantly say "have a good one" at the end of your shift after making an extremely sick person wait over an hour after their Rx was supposed to be ready. This place is sketch. They keep half the merchandise locked up behind plexiglass because it gets stolen constantly. Safety precautions are good, but get some attentive employees so I don't stand there for 15 minutes pressing the "call" button before I can buy body wash. Yes, the body wash is locked up. Also, I tried to get in a 9:59 one night to grab something for my sick boyfriend and they literally closed the doors in my face. As in, manager saw me coming, yelled out and sent an employee running to the doors as I walked up. Thanks, guys. Extra star only because they have a Redbox. read more

I am 75 and have 3 prescriptions to fill each month. On 4 separate occasions I went in person to request from the head pharmacist that all 3 be delivered at one time on same day so I would to have to come down 3 times a month and was told it would all be worked out. It never was. On the times I went down there to pickup a prescription the wait was close to 20 minutes and when I finally got to the front I would find that they had not filled it by contacting my doctor, could not find it or needed another 20 minutes to fill it, or filled the wrong prescription and not the one I needed. When I went again last week and complained again and threatened to use another pharmacy (no longer Walgreens) all I got was a shoulder shrug. OK bye! I'm gonna go to CVS or Schnucks in Clayton...turns out they are cheaper. read more
